Dance shows I feel have lost their spark. So much politics,corruption and scripted. Even DID4 for me was a minus point[ I don't agree with the winner ] and JDJ has completely lost its wow factor. But Dance Plus is new,I feel it's genuine and definitely better :) At least the judges are professional dancers and even the host ;D

I rather watch Dancing with the stars,original one not indian one. There are much less overtated drama

10 pm time slot is the most pathetic. Rangeela should know its JDJ and not Bigg Boss jo kisi bhi time chal jaye -_- This season JDJ lacks so manyyy things. Judges seem lost (other than Ganesh) Their marks are so contradict with their comments 🤢 Weak choreographers 😔 Sanam I feel is the only extraordinary one.

JDJ and Dance + air at two different time slots. 8 pm is a perfect prime time slot. JDJ starts at after 10 and stretches till 11:45. Beyond 10:30 shows dont get good TRPs to be in top 5. So, TRP comparison doesn't fit in here at all.

Dance + features professional dancers and hence all the acts range from good to excellent though even there I have seen average acts as well. JDJ doesn't have that level of professional dancing barring few.

Coming to hosting, Raghav all stumped by Miss Mohan is OTT IMO and how the male actors who come to the show all flirt with Mohan and Raghav gives his reactions. All in the same line of Manish flirting with the judge(pehle Madhuri ab Jacky) , passing comments on the contestants who the female judge likes. Its all the same kind of reality tv writing. Raghav seems fresh to the audience coz its been just 2 seasons ...let him hold it up for 5-6 yeas in a row like Manish...may be then we can compare.

Also the episodes of Dance + which has scored high is also coz of the big stars that have graced the episodes like HR,Varun. Here the Colors team have failed IMO. They need to get more big names in JDJ to boost Trps.

Sorry, but I would disagree with you. First of all time slot does not make a difference its all about content. If your show is great enough to attract audience ppl will watch it no matter what time it airs. 10pm slot is not bad, remember Kapil show got trps, YHM in the beginning aired at 11pm yet managed to be in the trp chart. In short if your content is good ppl will watch if not they won't even care when your show airs.

Coming to dance plus, it is hit because of its contestants, yes they are professional but that is the chrm if the show just as Jhalak charm is its celebrities who later turn dancers. Celebs come there because ppl know its a good show. If sp made space for it allowing the show to air twice a week because they knew this show will bring them good. Raghav good not only that he can dance too, being in a dance reality show ask Manish to dance, can he really shake his leg? May be but Raghav is a professional dancer. It just that if he pokes joke on others when time comes he too can prove himself.

Makers made mistakes by airing Jhalak once a week, by bringing a such a concept. They thought lets bring in popular celebrities and the show will run on its own but they failed to understand its not about celebs its about content.

I just mentioned yesterday in my other post that even Manish bores me out now. He was awesome in the beginning, he's always been a good host no doubt, but it looks like he fizzles out if he's got nothing to compare the contestants/scores with. He should probably be given a better script. And to those crying foul for Raghav-Shakti OTT drama, that's not the only comedy flavour he brings to the show. Either watch the show, or don't talk rubbish. Anyway, not pertinent to this forum.

Oh I see you saw what Raghav said on the last episode of D+ as well. It is damn true though. Everyone on a dance show SHOULD be able to dance. Or at least, know the slight technicalities of dance. No one's asking for established choreographers, but have some basic knowledge of dance. That was such a punch, and I can't help but wonder if it was made on purpose to Manish's comment a few episodes ago. 😆


Coming to the celebrities involved. They've got a good set of celebrities. Those people can dance. Even people I don't particularly like such as Salman, Karishma and Nora are excellent dancers. Make USE of them. They can do so much more than sticking to this stupid 'hot hai' theme. We can get mind blowing acts if there is decent choreography. It's a poor excuse to vouch that the other show has professional dancers and yours doesn't. Your show has 3 professional dancers (and yes I'm including Nora no matter how diplomatic she sounds), make freaking use of them.

I'll repeat what I always say. Quality wins over quantity most of the time. It's clearly visible in this scenario.

And about hosting, DID has been hosted by non dancers all through out . I don't see how that is an issue. Host's job is to make the show entertaining.

This time JDJ has less GEC faces than any year or even compared to last season. And also this year they easily let go off popular GEC faces when they dint put up a good performance.

Where they screwed it I think is, they should have aired it at 9 pm . 24 should have aired at 10. 24 is a total washout.

JDJ even with such a late time slot is still giving average trps which is surprising . And pretty close to last year's trps's of some epis even though last year it aired at 9 pm.

I wish content was the king you know. SYTCD Indian version barely had TRPS even though dancing was so good. Shocking it was.

JDJ is in its 9th year , DID also has been running for many years and hence its trps suffered also . D+ is in its 2nd. I hope it can keep up but with time that fresh factor fizzles away no matter what you do.
