Now, about this shitstorm that is Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Season 9... First of all, I was promised four child contestants on this show. Second of all, I don't understand why Ravi Dubey or Parth Samthan weren't approached for this show. Ravi Dubey is an amazing dancer with a huge fan following. I don't even like Parth Samthan, but the guy's gotten a lot fans from KY2, which itself was a pretty popular show.
Four child contestants? 😲 Never heard anything like that. All i know that Siddharth Nigam (Ashoka jr) will come as wild card and that too is unconfirmed. As for Ravi yeah i know and have seen him in NB and expected him in jhalak but i guess a lot of people avoid it when they have to carry a show on their shoulders. Parth, nah will get eliminated in 2 weeks without public voting. Saw a gif of him dancing and could not stop laughing. 😆 One name i am disappointed to not see is Sanjeeda Sheikh. Everybody knows she is a fantastic dancer and there were a lot of rumours regarding her participation and also she is a rangeela lead so would have got the support too.
Those two little factoids aside, can someone please tell me whose bright idea it was to have half the contestants perform on one Saturday, and the other half perform on the next Saturday? Does that make sense to any of you? At all? Like, whatsoever?! In what galaxy or messed up parallel universe do you think this would make sense to anyone? That's one thing I'm pissed about.
Its rangeela u're talking about. rangeela has absolutely no sense still has all the good reality shows. 😡 The only reason i watch and tolerate the crappy channel is mostly because of IF and friends/discussions/entertainment here.
Another thing that I'm super pissed about is Jaqueline Fernandez being the judge. I love Jaqueline, she's a sweetheart! But I personally feel as though that she's not suitable enough to be a judge because she's very childish and immature a lot of the time. She literally fangirls over each and every single contestant, not to mention she's up on stage after every single performance. I mean, it's sweet, but is it really necessary? She's excited, it's adorable, but not something a judge should be doing. As a judge, I think she should act a little more composed. If Rangeela really wanted some eye candy, then why not go with Malaika Arora or Karishma Kapoor. Not only do they both have judging experience, as well as dance experience, they'd be a lot more bearable to watch onscreen. I can't wait till Farah Khan shows up...
As i said somewhere else she is the anti MD. 😆 All the people who came were fangirling for MD and here jacky herself does the fangirling. 😆
Now about these contestants... I don't know who more than half of them are!
Shantanu: I love Shantanu Maheshwari so much, and I am so very happy to see him on Jhalak. I can't wait to see his journey, I can't wait to see him do multiple dance forms and grow even more as a dancer and performer... I am so excited!!! I'm not so sure about Alisha di as his choreographer. I mean, I've seen some of her work, but a lot of it is just super fun Bollywood numbers. I would've loved to see Mohena as his choreographer because I've seen her choreography on Jhalak before, and she's amazing! But I guess we'll just have to see.
I dont think i need to add anything more. BIG shantanu fan here too. As for alisha i am also not sure but i feel their coordination and chemistry will be very good obviously because of D3.
Sidhant: I have no idea who he is, and I'm not sure I've seen choreographer around before either, but he seems like an okay dancer with some wort of potential so we'll just have to see how they do...
Newbie actor. Left a popular lead role on a show to come to jhalak, must be confident on his dance to come here. Has potential and surprised me most because never knew he could dance. Like you never seen the choreographer too. Have to wait how the choreographer does.
Suvreen: Absolutely no clue who this girl is, but she has Sanam as a choreographer so I'm sure she'll do fine. I think she'll at least make it into the top 7 or 6.
She is a very famous punjabi movie actress. Also was in the movie hate story 2. Currently a part of 24 season 2. She dances very god as far as i know. There was an old show on rangeela where a cricketer and an actress danced as a pair and she was quite good there. And she has got the best choreo in sanam so obviously she would do well.
Shakti: I definitely know who Shakti is! I'm not a huge fan of him or anything, love his acting, but he seems like a really good dancer! I'm still shocked that was in the bottom three, like, who is this live audience they have?! Anyways, I do remember seeing Suchitra's choreography before, although I can't remember if it was JDJ or Nach Baliye, but I have seen her stuff before, and she's pretty good.
Shakti surprised most people with his dance but not me, i know he is a good dancer if he gets a good choreo. Seen him just 3 episodes on NB and he was very good and was somewhat dragged down by his GF. Hope to see more and more. Suchitra i cant remember any spectacular acts but she looks absolutely fine with shakti. Hope they go long. 😃
Poonam and Priyanka: They were so good during the first episode! I loved their first performance, the hoods were genius. Their second performance was definitely not as good as their first one. I don't understand why they were wearing such high heels in the first place, like, what was the point? To make them look bad? I'll definitely be sad to see them go, but I'm also glad because they deserve so much better than Jhalak and Rangeela with their weirdass politics.

Harpal: Aw... He's sweet... He'll be gone within the first three rounds. And he is the third person to be evicted, so I was right. It's sad because he actually put a smile on my face, but he was way too over scored in last episode so, bye!

Gaurav/Chutki: Honestly, when I saw the article for the evictions and it said Gaurav Gera, I was like, "who?!" Then I found out he was Chutki so... bye! Seriously though, I don't understand why he has to participate as his character. You don't see Helly participating as Swara! Even when Palak/Kiku was on the show, he only stayed in character halfway through. But I really feel bad Diwakar. Poor guy always gets a challenging contestant.
I absolutely hate it when they dance like that, never liked kiku/palak and i dont even watch anything with this stupid stupid concept. 🤢 Feel bad for diwakar, rangeela always dumps an almost useless contestant on him.
Arjun: He'll be in the top 5 or 4. He's got a huge fanfollwing, he's a Rangeela child, and he has Bhavna as his choreographer, so he's safe! If only they'd stop with the Naagin 2 promotions... Like, Bhavna's not an idiot! She would not give Arjun such a hard dance so early on in the season, especially if she knows that there's no way he can pull it off. The only reason she probably even did that was for this Naagin concept. Like, yeah Rangeela, really subtle with the Naagin concept, and Mouni Roy, and the theme music playing... Well done! We had absolutely no idea this was a Naagin 2 promotion, y'all are so smart...
Agree with everything. 👏 But ARJUN Cant dance . 😛😆 And Rangeela is the definition of subtlety if you watched previous shows.
Nora: I'm sorry, who is this? I mean, she seems like a good dancer... Has a bit of an ego, and she's super fake, so don't know if I like her personality wise, but she's a good dancer. Um, I haven't seen Cornel's choreography in a while, but I do remember that it lacks a lot of variety. Don't know if this is the Cornel I'm thinking of or some different guy, but he better up his game choreography wise...
She is a good dancer infact a trained dancer but as usual fake drama that i am not trained. 🥱 She is one of the 3 girls from that Manohari dance in Bahubali. She was also in Bigg Boss so another rangeela ex artist. Was super irritating in BB but she can dance for sure. And its the same cornel rodrigues but looks completely different with a new hair style.
Karishma: Was she on Bigg Boss at some point in her life? Is that where I remember her from? I don't know about her dance wise yet, but personality wise I already don't like her. I probably would've liked her if she hadn't started off with a sob story. Like, honey, everyone has their struggles. I mean, at least you're finding work! And she seems like someone who'd start drama. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but when she and Salman were going back and forth, I feel like she was trying to get him riled up. Is that just me being weird, or did anyone else notice that too? And coming to her choreographer... I have never heard of Rajit before, which is strange because he's actually the only choreographer on this show with a Wikipedia page, which makes him sound very impressive. And he's been on Jhalak before, so why the hell can't I remember who he is?
Again agree completely. Hate sob stories. Can dance good and curious to see how she does but i really hate sob stories. The salman interaction was the usual rangeela drama, she is for drama in reality shows. Rajit was with Puja Bose (Devo ke dev Mahadev) before, She generally danced on hot sensual numbers.
Now, everyone's two most "favorite" contestants... Salman and Helly! Please note the sarcasm. I've seen at least three posts get warning notes because of all "hate" they're getting.

Helly: I have no clue who she is, but from what I gather, she's a Rangeela bachi, her fans would go to hell and back for her, and she has the worst luck ever because she's been paired up with Jai. The nicest thing I can say about her is that... she has potential. Nope, that's a lie. Um, the nicest thing I can say about her is that she'll make it into the top 4 for sure. Rangeela won't let her get evicted until the very last moment. Something I wonder about her is whether or not she's actually this immature and childish in real life, or is Rangeela making her act like this because they have no children on this show, so the most "logical" thing for them to do is to make their youngest contestant, who's in her early twenties mind you, behave like a schoolgirl. To sum this up, I don't like her. I don't like her personality, I don't like her choreographer, and I'm not going to like her dance because there is no way she's going to improve with Jai as her choreographer. Honestly, I feel bad for the poor girl.
Agree about absolutely everything. She has been a child actor previously in some shows and gradually progressed to doing lead roles. She has potential according to me but with a choreo like jai, may god bless her. The only thing i can somewhat disagree is that i like her personality, she is so cute and likable. 😆😳 Maybe because i am a boy but i haven't seen anything unlikable except for jai. Also as usual the forum situation also is a factor on how much i like a condition and signs are not promising IMO. I really wish she got sanam, he would be a fantastic teacher for a rookie but poor girl is stuck is stuck with the worst of the lot .
Salman: Why? Just, why? He knows how Jhalak works, he has Ganesh as his lawyer and Karan as his spokesperson. Not to mention Jaqueline as his own personal cheerleader. And let's not forget that he hides the fact that he's choreographing his own routines about as well as Rangeela hid their Naagin 2 promotions. I thought I'd have more to say about him, but I don't. Plus, my fingers hurt, so no thank you.
SO true, there is no point speaking about salman, its crystal clear who is the choreographer.
Bottom line is, I don't like this show one bit, but I'm going to watch it anyway. You know, just for laughs... And tears... And as an excuse to slam my head against the wall.
