Alisha as Shantanu's Choreo - your thoughts? - Page 3

I haven't seen much of Shantanu and Sneha, but I've seen Vrushika and Shantanu and they used to be f**king brilliant as well. It's still such a pleasure watching some of the D3 choreographies, because they were done with so much thinking, smoothness and thought. Macy and Shan were the most awesome combo-choreos I've seen on a fictional show. They could turn songs I've never liked into songs I now have on my playlist just 'cause their dance was so spot on.

I actually agree whole-heartedly. I don't deny Alisha is a GREAT dancer. But she lacks the kind of punch Shantanu would need to become a winner. I don't even feel anymore he's going to be one, when he sure could have deserved it. I was so excited to see him try new things, but somehow nothing's coming across. Now that I see Nimit and Macy around a lot more in their rehearsal sessions, I hope that means we'll get better performances in the coming weeks.

And please don't tell me Shantanu by himself can't pull off other dances except Hip Hop/Freestyle. 'Alvida' was contemporary, and it was one of the BEST pieces I've ever seen. Sure, they don't have that kind of leisure or time to experiment full fledged, but Shantanu is a pro enough and does not require weeks to learn something new. It's the choreography that needs polishing. It should be fitted according to the partner. Look at what Bhavna's doing to Arjun. Look at what Sanam's doing with Surveen. Good thinking can get you FAR even if you're a non-dancer.

As partners - no, they do not compliment each other very well. It's either trying too hard, or too off the beat. There is no chemistry, and as they themselves said in the last interview, JDJ is a stage that requires a lot more than technical moves. Plus, the theme is 'hot hai', tab toh khatam unki. It's still not the end of the world if you know how to work around it. Not every performance has to be 'couple-type' or 'romantic'. There are a thousand themes in the world. Remember Punit-Lauren, I thought they had no chemistry either for the first week. How they proved me wrong over the weeks!

I actually miss Shampa. She turned SSR and his performances into brilliance. He went from being an "okay" dancer into a "fadu" performer. I can't help but wonder what she could have done with Shantanu if they were paired. I also loved the no-nonsense attitude she had. Aao, apna kaam karo, comments lo aur improve karo. Baat khatam.

I know some people are saying that Shan is great with Hip pop and bollywood and he should get out of his comfort zone but I think that Shan is versatile and he is good in contemporary, lyrical and waltz too. Even skate dance☺️ He is a complete package ;D He did mostly every kind of dance in D3 and even Alisha knows it as she was a part of D3 so Alisha know Shantanu can do contemporary,skate dance, etc. He knows his potential but is not using it. The reason being,Alisha herself is an hip pop/bollywood dancer and I rarely seen her doing aerial acts/contemporary etc,so Alisha is kind of limited even though she is a strong dancer. She should use her experience in D3, her creativity and polish the choreography and create acts with nice concepts. :)

Why do I feel that D3 choregraphies was far better than JDJ?

And I know Shan can choregraph on his own,whether it is hip pop or contemporary,I would say he is better than Alisha too as a dancer and as a choreographer as well [No offense]but guys Shan shoot for more than 12 hours for his daily soap [ Well, apparently Helly is not the only busy person..why do people overlook the fact that Shan is an actor too who shoots for GOT daily,people seem to forget this fact,idk is it cause he is not from some saas bahu crap show] Okay as both Helly and Shan said they are not using it as an excuse 👏

Well, Shan comes at night for rehearsal after his shoot and it must be so hectic for him to work the choreography,and clearly do Alisha job. Though I noticed that their choreography comes from Shan. There is no doubt that Shan is working so hard so Alisha should pull her socks and so that the judges what they got. Scores don't matter to me anyway now. I feel that Alisha has potential but I don't see why she isn't using it and during the performances,sometimes it's Alisha who makes the performance low. Shan is happy with Alisha,he said it himself that he is an introvert and he is okay with her so Alisha should be up to mark and not let Shan down.

She may be a great dancer, but she's partnered with one of the finest dancers of the country, proven by herself as she said in a recent iv where he was and still teaches her instead. The partner that won WOD, the biggest dance competition of the world, the international dancer who worked/danced with Les Twins, Jaja and complimented by them. The dancer who got exclusively invited to one of China's biggest tv shows to perform. So the "delusioned false pity game" you can keep to yourself. She needs to improve her choreography so both of their strengths can be shown well.

And that my friend, is how you deliver a slap well deserved. Virtual hi sahi. 😆
