Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9: Shakti Arora finally wins the judges' hearts on the show

Shakti Arora has finally managed to woo the judges on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9

After his success as Ranveer on Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, it was not surprising that Colors decided to rope in Shakti Arora as one of the contestants for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9. The cute TV actor is not known for his dancing prowess and fitted in well with the essence of the show. In fact, he has consistently been in the bottom three right from the start. Host Manish Paul always used to joke that Arjun Bijlani and he are the guys who have sealed a berth in the danger zone. However, Shakti has managed to scrape past every time and is still surviving on the show.

However, this week the actor seems to be determined to give a rocking performance. The theme is the 90s. We know that 90s music was one of the best in Bollywood and the actor chose to shake a leg on the chartbuster, Jab Bhi Koi Ladki Dekhoon from Yeh Dillagi. The actor's dance, which was a mix of freestyle and salsa garnered a lot of praise from the judges.

Karan Johar even commented saying how Shakti's journey is the journey of a non-dancer to a dancer and he performed like a star. Farah Khan who is known to be super critical of each and every performance said , "Aaj shayad woh ho sakta hai jo itne saalo main nahi hua. Shakti wouldn't be in bottom 3. He has a star quality." Needless to say, he was on cloud nine after hearing such praises from the judges.

The actor opted for a combination of black and blue for this sizzling performance. His choreographer is Suchitra Sawant.

The actor tried to use some of the Latin American dance forms for this number.

The actor also clicked snaps with a few fans amongst the audience.

Shakti Arora, who started off well on JDJ9 has had to encounter the risk more times than any other contestant on this show.

Despite is consistent graph of good performances, Shakti had to face this 'agni-pariksha' time and again. It goes without saying that this can affect one's morale and performance spirit in a negative way. However, one thing that one must truly learn from Shakti is how not to inculcate the defeatist attitude but to give it your all on the JDJ9 stage.

On the 90's special you will see him doing just that and be wowed by his competitive spirit. We don't know about the rest but Shakti totally had a blast dancing to 'Ole Ole!'
