We had a busy but fun week where we got to meet some of the cast of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. We had the pleasure of meeting Abhaji, Deepali, Utkarshaji, Rajeshji, Dalljiet and Pyumori.
We went to the sets of Tere Shere Mein' to meet the ever gracious Abhaji. As always, it is a great pleasure to meet her. When Saij had arrived to the set, Abhaji was busy with her shoot. So during this time Saij was chatting with Abhaji's colleague Sunitaji in their make-up room. Sunitaji is a sweet lady and she actually ended up interviewing Saij lol. Abhaji returned from her shoot and then Saij and her had a long chat over lunch. Abhaji spoke of her show, the current track and her co-stars. There was a lot to catch up on. Saij complimented Abhaji's look for her role, a brighter version of our sweet Buaji. During the chat Saij got to know that Sunitaji also starred in Satra Ko Shaadi Hai alongside Barun. She said, "Barun is a sweet boy". Before the next shoot, Abhaji and Saij sat on the sets and talked more about the show and also IPKKND. Abhaji mentioned that it was unfair that Star Ustaav have not shown re-runs of IPKKND like they have of other shows and that TeamSarun should speak with Star Plus. Saij then met some of the cast and production members including the lead couple; to each person Saij was introduced as remember I told you about my friend in London'. The cast members were very nice and we hope all fans watch and support Abhaji's show.
Later that day we went to the sets of Agent Raghav' to meet the gorgeous Deepali Pansare. Chatting with Deepali is so much fun that three hours actually feel more like three minutes, and you always wish you had more time. As Deepali was waiting for her next shot, she and Saij sat in her air conditioned vanity van where they talked about her show, Sanaya and IPKKND. Deepali spoke about her role as Gauri in Agent Raghav. Her role is of a IT expert and coincidentally Deepali is a computer science and engineering graduate. Deepali mentioned that she wants Sanaya to win Jhalak Dikhla Jaa especially because she has been working so hard and has shown tremendous growth as a dancer. In between, Deepali got called for her shot. When she returned, she got Saij delicious dosas for dinner. Following dinner Saij interviewed Deepali, more to come soon!! Deepali also introduced Saij to one of her co-stars, Jason. In fact Saij met Jason again on the sets of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. Upon leaving Deepali had said to Saij that she wants to treat her as she has been visiting India for the past three years to which Saij said that she should be treating her.The treat is work in progress.
Saij went to the sets of Meri Aashiqui Tum se Hi' to meet the ever so elegant Utkarshaji. When Saij arrived on the sets, Utkarshaji was shooting for her scene. She looked beautiful in her look and it reminded us of Mamiji. In between her shots, she talked about how excited she was for the upcoming track which is going to add spice to the show. After the shoot we headed to her vanity van, where Utkarshaji had a big bag of dog food. Every day she feeds all the stray dogs who live on the sets, in fact they have all been given a name. It was a very early pack up so we then headed to Utkarshaji's house. On her way to her house, she spoke passionately about the campaign she is associated with. The campaign is for saving stray dogs from being killed in Kerala and in general creating awareness of giving shelter to stray dogs; a very noble cause indeed. Upon arriving, her daughter was pleasantly surprised to see Saij again. Saij chatted with Utkarshaji and her daughter about everything under the sun and then later on she made delicious dosas for lunch. Saij left from there saying that she feels this is the perfect time to campaign for a new show with the IPK cast and plans to see it through.
Next Saij met the humble Rajeshji for a quick coffee and chat. Rajeshji said You are still coming to India', he was once again impressed with TeamSarun's dedication to the IPK cast. Rajeshji spoke of his upcoming movie which will be filmed soon. At the moment he is concentrating on movies but is still very much open to TV shows. He spoke about winning the award for the most popular father' for his role in Shastri Sisters, truly well deserved. Whilst heading out Saij said to Rajeshji that next time she visits, she wants to get the whole IPK cast together and he was all for it. Rajeshji was very sweet to drop Saij of to a location where she could conveniently get a rickshaw to her next destination.
Later the same day Saij went to meet the sweet Dalljiet at her house. Here she also met her mother and cute baby Shaarav. It was nice to meet her after so long and to connect with her on a personal level. Dalljiet and Saij had a nice long chat over chai and snacks. She briefly talked about her new show Kala Tikka' which will be airing on Zee TV soon. She was waiting for her next promo shoot, however at this stage she could not disclose much information. Dalljiet also said she wants Sanaya to win Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as she deserves to win for all the hard work she has been putting in. She also mentioned that she recently met Sanaya on her birthday. We then talked about shopping and Dalljiet mentioned some good places in Lokhandwala where one can get nice clothes made. One funny moment was when Dalljiet had said to Saij to speak in Hindi with her mother so she could have a laugh as Hindi is not Saij's first language but Saij pulled it off quite well. Following their chat Saij interviewed Dalljiet, more to come soon!! As Saij was leaving she said she will be back soon and so Dalljiet said come to my sets the next time you visit Mumbai.
The next day Saij went to the sets of Mahakumbh' at Filmistan to meet the beautiful Pyumori. It was her first day of shooting for the pilot episode of her new show. When Saij first arrived, Pyumori introduced her to her co-stars and then they sat inside her make-up room. Pyumori ordered chai and biscuits for both herself and Saij. Pyumori spoke about her two shows, Reporters and Mahakumbh.In both shows she plays the mother of the lead actress. She also mentioned that she had moved to a new house and said that Saij should come over for dinner one day and also come to the sets of Reporters. We then took a nice walk outside to get some fresh air and here she introduced Saij to another one of her co-stars. Before Saij left, she said she will try and meet her again if time permits.
