I think what impressed me the most is the fact that I had no clue that Sanaya hurt her foot badly in the beginning of the act. She never showed it in her expressions or dance. I only thought she might be hurt at the end when she sat down and also when Ganesh brought it up. She literally couldn't move from one spot and had to be carried.

She looked a little nervous at a couple of moments but that added to the performance for me. It made the audience feel her vulnerability and connect to her more. There is a lot more to dance than just technical perfection. I am not drawn to those dancers because I feel like they are dancing alone in isolation...I can't relate to them. Sanaya on the other hand makes you feel like you are dancing with her.

Beautifully said. Thank you so much for sharing your views😊

Popularity is a two edged sword ... while it makes one ride on success , earns you adoration and loads of fans, it also makes one vulnerable from inside to be able to live up to the expectations people have from you. San choosing to go to such lengths makes me think she wants to put in 100 % of herself in the work without depending on us fans and that is the righteous thing to do. She is doing what she is supposed to do that is Deliver ! She is doing what she can do ...

So what if she looked a bit scared once or twice ...it can be given a pass looking at the finesse with how the performance turned out as a whole !

I am not saying San is trying to prove anything to anyone, she does not need to ! It's just that this is how the human psyche works ... Many a times people tend to give a pass to hard work just because someone is really popular. So it comes off as more pressure to deliver in this condition ! To get this thought through that one really did slog to earn the trophy and it was not just what the other part of the world is doing for her.

However the opposite of this happens too when people tend to ignore Hard work and focus on just the popularity part which is wrong as well.

I loved what she did, more than that I love her spirit to give a performance that would ensure she is IN the competition on her own merit.

We know this competition depends on votes, she knows too and with Jai being so active on these sites, there is no way San has no idea of her popularity, yet she chose a difficult path to perform, took such a big risk , came and gave a smashing performance and this is what makes her a Stellar performer !!

I am ready to ignore anything in front of this Trait of hers to put in honest hard work which really does not need any voice as it speaks for itself.

I would however not want her to risk herself like she did because no Trophy is worthier than a person's well being ! She will shine more no matter what anyone says !! 😊

I am humbled by the girl, at her dedication and hard work and grit and her achievements!! Despite knowing she has a safety mat in us fans, she still took a 100% risk and came off the winner!!

I am floored to know, scared actually to know she hurt herself in that 1st lift itself before the Kuda jaan drop! And she was in so much pain that she wanted to stop but completed it with a smile!! Unfreaking believable and so so sooo proud!! 👏

I just watched that interview ... and was shocked to know she hurt herself so early in the act ... and was in so much pain that she wanted to cut it short ... for someone like Sanaya to even think of doing that, she must have been in agony!!! Yet she went on and finished the act with a smile on her face ...

And Jai had such a tough time with the harness, but he too went through with the entire act ... hats off to these two!!! They know ... at least Jai knows ... how many fans are voting for her ... and now Sanaya knows too ... but she doesn't get complacent or take her votes and her fans for granted ... she performs and goes all out despite that safety net. I am humbled by this girl's dedication and hard work. God bless her and keep her safe all through her jhalak journey ... and never ever let her even be in danger of coming in the bottom 2 ... once is more than enough, don't want them taking such risks again!!!

While surbhi's point about the portions on the dance floor getting affected after one had been up in the air seems reasonable I just remebered that the majority of the dance portions on the floor were BEFORE she went up...no?...and it was during these initial portions that her transitions weren't smooth...may be she has not learnt so much if after her 9 weeks' journey she can't get her transitions right
😆

Damn i wish there were more actually neutral members on this forum...even some bashers...the fandoms show again and again why such people are needed...and then may be my opinions wouldn't seem that di

I think this difficulty level was badly needed as not only judges, but viewers also measure the excellence of the performer through the difficulty level of act. That's what we all do.If a non dancer doesn't take risks like this act, people don't even find them worthy of standing in front of trained dancers ,with whom they are competing.
Floor part should be this much light if one is attempting such a dangerous aerial part. Her floor part wasn't bad.It looked like a contemporary dance where it's pretty difficult to point your toes lile she did and her jumps were graceful while maintaining that posture.

@Red - Very well said, this show is about non-professional dancers on a journey to becoming better and the audience and viewers seeing that improvement and enjoying that journey.

In reality a butterfly and a flower don't dance! They don't do salsa, tango , etc! If you would look at that way!! Whatever they showed was good! And what is this about neutral viewers?! Even my parents are neutral viewers and my dad was also wowed! And I'm sure there are others too! But I'm glad that aerial act is done with now! Now they can concentrate others types of acts! And who says fans can't neutral views?

Shreya

so whatever be the reason of her fear/worry...the thing is that it was there!...and lol of course the reason is that she was doing an aerial act without the harness..her worry about her performance going well wouldn't make her so scared...like seriously, she gave a performance without a harness and you say that how can i be sure that THAT was the reason behind her fear? 😆
I am not saying that they could have kept more difficult dance steps on the floor...i have been saying that inspite of the steps being so easy sanaya's execution of it was really faulty.Have i not been stating this clearly?where is the room to misinterpret me here?
Neutral viewers can like this performance, fans can be unbiased while giving their views but I wanted to read views of some actually neutral people(not those people from other fandoms who bash sanaya regardless of her performance) who thought her performance wasn't as good as it is made out to be.

Just saw someone saying this on fb that Sanaya might have agreed to do such a difficult act because she was the lowest scorer in the previous week and wasnt a wrong decision keeping in mind that she and Mohit are only complete non dancers who are left in the show.We should be happy that she did it amazingly and she was not that hurt. After watching her IV after the act, I can imagine how difficult it had been. She had hurt her foot and Jai was out of breath due to continuous pulling of harness.

My people are pretty neutral & they are that section of viewers whose limited knowledge of dance comes from the very few dance shows that we have watched. And, my people were super impressed with the act. There were flaws. But it was a difficult act. It is understandable that some might want an act to be flawless to enjoy it. The point though is that it took great guts to conceptualize & attempt the act & pull it off fairly well. The difficulty level was so high that it was impressive. People might say, she should have chosen something less difficult & danced that to perfection but everytime that Sanaya has scored well, the team has had to come up with something drastically different & challenging. And, considering aerial is said to be Jai's forte, it was perhaps a no-brainer to go with this & do something that will stun the judges into scoring them well. And, it worked. There will always be something that someone doesn't like about every performance. Let's all leave it at that.
