But I am only giving my perspective as a viewer..the fear on her face spoiled it for me and even the moves weren't as smooth...i am sure such acts by professionals have looked far more effortless and smooth.
I like pure dance forms executed with sharpness and precision...these aerial acts i enjoy if done by professionals smoothly.

@bold ... that is the whole point, my dear ... acts like these if done by professionals should look smooth ... but even professionals would look and feel nervous if they did not have a harness or some support. Sanaya had none. And if she did not feel nervous, she would be foolish ... because there were chances of serious injury if they were not careful. They did not even have safety mats on the floor.

Sanaya is a non professional dance ... in fact, she is a non dancer. Therein lies the beauty and the level of her achievement ... a level she has achieved in nine weeks of practice. If you wish to belittle that, that is your opinion ... for most of us, today is a day to celebrate her achievement ... that is what the journey of jhalak is about.

Some of the lifts ... and even more, some of the DROPS ... took my breath away!!! The part when they were in the air, Sanaya was holding on to Jai, she flipped and then was hanging hooked just from his feet and from one hand ... I lost my breath there. They had to have the timing exactly right ... one false move and she would crashed on her HEAD to the floor below!!! This act was unbelievably dangerous ... no wonder she got a standing ovation from all the judges and all the contestants! 👏
And when she was horizontal just on his feet between her legs and under her neck ... was that it?! 😲And she held herself poker straight, with arms stretched out ... how the hell did she manage that?!

She has far more muscle strength than she gives herself credit for. 👏👏👏 As for mental strength ... let's not even go there. To conquer something when you are not scared ... very creditable. To conquer something when you are scared stiff ... amazing and truly admirable!!! This girl gives us new reasons to admire her every day!

This is by far the most memorable performance of this season for me. Seriously that was amazing. it had less dance but the stunts were beyond amazing especially for someone who is not skilled in doing these kind of stuff i must say sanaya had guts. I loved their song choice too. If she keeps on improving like this she is definitely the winner

That happens with professionals too ...it happenef with lauren too in her time and she here is a non dancer dwar .Ab she is trying something completely new , thoda dar toh lagta hi hain and it was life risking ...I still haven't watched the mujra one but the way you have actually compared this with it and said this ...I will definitely watch .

Surprisingly I agree a little bit with both of you, the dance steps on floor looked very ordinary and at one point it even looked clumsy like she was just standing there waiting to be lifted and the transition was not smooth either...

I only saw nervousness once on her face and as others pointed out even professionals look rarely fearless, for the most part she looked fine...

But her act would be unbelievable for a trained dancer and for an untrained one, someone who hasn't done aerial act before it truly is unbelievable, her horizontal hold is the 'Talk of the Town'
How did she do it?

@EtherealRathi what you said in your other post is so true and a beautiful compliment, she has such a big fan base she doesn't have to take such huge risks, but she is doing it to show everybody that she is not here just bcz of fan power, she is here bcz she totally deserves it...

like i said i am giving my opinion only as a viewer...whether i enjoyed the act or not...why did she do it without the harness if she was so scared, that spoiled the performance for me(among other things)...for everybody who say she didn't look scared see the part where she is brought the closest to the front camera(not that this was the only part).
While surbhi's point about the portions on the dance floor getting affected after one had been up in the air seems reasonable I just remebered that the majority of the dance portions on the floor were BEFORE she went up...no?...and it was during these initial portions that her transitions weren't smooth...may be she has not learnt so much if after her 9 weeks' journey she can't get her transitions right
😆

Damn i wish there were more actually neutral members on this forum...even some bashers...the fandoms show again and again why such people are needed...and then may be my opinions wouldn't seem that different.

How do you know that it was fear only?! These people only get one take , how do you know it was just because of doing the stunt which they already have rehearsed for?! Think about it, she would be more worried if the act went well! And in my opinion it did! And the dance portion was good ! And it was appropriate for this type of act! In reality a butterfly and a flower don't dance! They don't do salsa, tango , etc! If you would look at that way!! Whatever they showed was good! And what is this about neutral viewers?! Even my parents are neutral viewers and my dad was also wowed! And I'm sure there are others too! But I'm glad that aerial act is done with now! Now they can concentrate others types of acts! And who says fans can't neutral views?

Guys quite explaining all this to her. She is not a 5years who needs explanations to recognize a talent, when she sees one.
So ok let's say she "did had fear" so what??? She shouldn't???? Just knock it off. If u want neutral feedback go search Jhalak news. U will see ppl who r not even her fans praising the act. However u will probably disagree with that also. Because u chose to see it in a negative way.
Let the rest of us enjoy this please.
You seem to get everything still u r being suborn about it. Wonder what you getting from all this.

Sanaya was awesome today! Period.
That Ariel act could have went wrong badly. It was very risky and dangerous
Proud of her as always
Those who wants to accept it great
Does who has chosen to bring the negativity in it, feel free.
