But Mona won coz she was totally non trained dancer, who started from scratch, learned new forma in days, worked really hard, showed awesome growth and won the hearts of people!I hope you also recall how much variety Mona showed compared to the contestant you are focussing on ( you chose to limit your views to one hence I am forced to argue with that as baseline)
And i hope you recall the format in the first season? The channel / PH used to assign 2 dance forms per week and the contestants had to chose one of them and perform. Hence the more number of dance forms seen. after that year, if i recall, that system was eliminated and contestants had the liberty to chose any dance form, even repeat them, and hence the comfort zone factor.And given the format, DD has shown a lot of variety. As many 15 in a total of 19 performances over 15 weeks (want me to list it down for you?)
There's a reason why audience is allowed to vote in such formats right?Yes, because they bring in money...majority is not always right specially if it is driven by emotions and not what is right or logice or pragmatism..
If this were a show for just technically correct dancers then they would'nt have a say at all. So the performances need to impress and connect with the 'Aam Junta' as well!lol..if its a dance show, its a dance show..here's a thing, if you want to make it abt popularity fine, then account for it by her votes..let's assume she is getting mazimum votes..so that takes care of your point..that she connected with junta and junta is voting for her..now come to my logic..this show is also about dance..however, in spite of technical flaws..the dances are mostly overscored...and its not that she is overscored..but others are underscored conscientiously to ensure she is on the top of the score table..cause only then they can ensure she never comes in the face off...Again a pure POV. Dont agree 😊 Plus she s rarely been on the TOP of the table 😕 Lauren has been on the top most of the times.So, now tell me why is it right and justified that her dances be scored and be given extra benefit over others..On your trained vs untrained..by that logic..Sid shud have been getting 30 and deserves to win this title...the man had severe constraints and he worked really hard to overcome those..and he is the ONLY ONE who is truly untrained in all respects...You clearly missed the point buddy. I said, being an untrained dancer, she has shown tremendous growth and tremendous variety. Lets be honest, Sid was BAD.DD has given some memorable performances and shes reallly good, if not the best (This is my opinion)Also I will tell u something.. When u see a performance live - the impact is far more than what you see on tv. This is probably the reason why this pirate act got the 30! Maybe on tv we didn't find it that impact ful but I can imagine how awesome this would ve looked live - hence the 30 maybe.I am not and haven't commented on the pirate dance and will not. I didn't watch it. To your point here, its valid and for audience there i can totally buy this argument..but judges are judges for a reason..they are not mere audience...so all through this series..their behavior and judgement and motivation is totally questionable
As for GC - I really don't know what u meant but he also won last season coz of his popularity and his growth as a dancer on the show.a) He was not as good as others and initial weeks i agree...he tried and he got good marks..theory of relativity..but later on he started faltering big time..However, I will credit him for one thing compared to DD...shampa atleast tried some new stuff with him..DD zilch growth..zero.. You gotta be kidding me. I guess the judges and all of us are really blind then 😲And talk about new stuff? That woman has tried almost everything, be it aerial, acrobatics, latin american forms, hip hop etc. Salman has taken so many risks with her especially when she wasnt trained in ANY form. Compare that to Lauren whos a trained contemporary dancer and has shown us the same form so many times. Why didnt she try aerial or acrobatics or salsa or jive or rumba and so on? I'm not belittling lauren but just trying to make a point.However, as a dancer he was bad compared to others..b) Go back to your trained Vs untrained dancer logic- he repeated martial arts based dances multiple times..a trianed martial arts man repeating what he knows..how is it justified that a trained dancer won?c) Towards the end, the quality of dance didn't improve ( except for the zero gravity dance..that as a concept was good so inspite of flaws i think that act getting high marks was fine)..but other acts did not deserve such high marks...however, with GC i completely agree with you that voting and fans are a big reason and the fact that the season had the worst contestants ever...colors did not have much role there...he got 18 too once..which DD wud never get no matter how bad she performs...with him the question is more on fans...if celebrity love outweighs standing for what is right..He was the face of a rival channel that time and competing with the face of colors (rashmi) still he won! Coz he had an amazing fan base! And he improved tremendously!Get the facts rt...rashmi was no more face of colors..she wasn't... pratyusha was..who quit so colors was helpless..and neither was rashmi in pipeline to make the comeback around that time..anyhow my opinion colors didn't interefere much last yr once pratyusha was out...people were getting 18 etc etc..their only and biggest role was supporting remo in promoting his candidates and ofcourse the deal with Isha..how she will make her exit..Nevertheless...just for Isha...that season has had some of the best performances ever..and it wasn't all salman..although not taking away from his efforts either..but it was just not 100% salman..she said that many a times abt her creative inputs
