That's actually a really good question. I've been wondering it myself.

Personally, I think the showed suffered from an unfair format (letting professional dancers compete with non-professionals) and it was only exacerbated by the unfair judging happening.

I know this topic has been discussed to death, but I still think it's very, very unfair to have professionals who practise dance 24/7 in their free time to compete with either complete non-dancers like Shaan or trained dancers who don't have time to practise 24/7 due to work commitments like KVB. There is a difference. If you live to dance, if your work is to dance, then there is no question that you will excel in a dance show. I think it's so unfair to learners like Suresh Menon who don't even get a second chance to learn because their dancing pales so much in front of the professionals. I just really dislike the fact that Lauren and Mukti are competing with people like Shaan, Sana, and Drashti. Especially Mukti, at least Lauren has some celebrity status as an actress (in movies and shows) whereas Mukti, all I know her is from ZND and as the sister of Neeti and Shakti Mohan. And even ZND was dance based.

And the judging this season has been completely ridiculous. Sometimes I think the judges judge each person on their individual dance level, and them sometimes they just judge them using their moods. I mean, if they were to judge according to dance level, then the lowest Lauren could ever get would be a 29, her acts have been close to flawless almost every show (except recently). It doesn't even make sense because in the beginning of the show, people like Drashti were receiving amazingly high scores and then all of a sudden their scores dropped to like early 20's while their level of dancing has either gone up a little or stayed the same. I remember in JDJ 1 and 3, there would be 2 dance styles the celebrities or their choreographers could choose to do in that week. So for example, in week 3, they all would be allowed to only do the salsa or disco. They had to choose. I thought that was such a great way to judge because not only could you see how the person improved, you can also judge the contestants relative to each others. After all, in a show like this were there can only be one winner, skill level must be taken into consideration. But in JDJ 6, it seems like you can do whatever dance style you want to, which doesn't help at all in judging the participants relative to each other.

I don't know. I've just really been let down this season.

it is ok to not like a performance. but trashing it outright. and when some people put forward their views that the performance deserved the marks that it got.. terming them as blind fans and unable to see fair/unfair thing is not ok me thinks.

judges were always unfair. (depending on which contestant you are rooting for). i for one think they (especially madhuri) are being unfair towards sumant. they treat him as if he doesn't exist when he is the better dancer.
strictly my POV.

edit: about other contestants fan hating lauren.. well she was hated from day one. ST took a little heat off. but now that lauren is getting consistent good marks... the hate is outpouring in massive quantities.😊..

honestly i haven't seen any of her previous dances in that american show but if she is the winner then surely she is the best..keeping that in mind i was really looking forward to her dances than anyone...but seriously the judges comments about al her act really disappointed me where each sec they praises her unnecessarily...some of her dances were really fab but it became kind of repetitive even that the judges keep on with their usual blabla...i think her choreo is to be blamed here to choose dance forms where she can do but never somethg different...

But nowadays I feel its the wrong judgement or the format which is making it annoying to watch. Sorry to say this but the bharathnatyam act yesterday was pathetic. There was no bharthnatyam in it. It only had the bharthnatyam costumes but nothing else. If it was presented in some other name it was ok to watch but this was really annoying.
And the tragic part is the judgement. If any normal dancer, you dont need Remo or Madhuri to judge it; or even a common man who really have watched even one bharatnatyam dance on stage would never say it was near to anything that can be called bharatnatyam. And it did not deserve anything more than 5/10.
And the comments which says this was done in just one week, sorry but when they judge other western dance forms doent that also happen in the same one week and that too by some non dancing celebrities? I am not expecting a person to learn it in one week and give to to perfection if they do what they are capable of then judge it accordingly.
Why is this happening you need to think!!!!
This post is not to bash any contestant or to make the fans unhappy. But this is the truth atleast according to me.
I like all the contestant and love to watch their performances, but you should have a fair treatment towards all the contestants.
PS. I am a Drashti fan and hope me making the post will not create another 100 hate topics on her. This is my opiniion on the show format/judgement and an act. and not the hate for any contestants.

@ Bold: as this sentence was completely unnecessary, that any dumb will understand after reading our awful kind of post. I'm yet to read such trash on tis forum.

Look you are welcome o have your opinion, but when you talk so trash, you need to back that up by evidence.why don't you post a video of a Bharat Natyam ...as your standard and then the Lauren's performance comparison to say this?

Why couldn't you point out mistakes apart from what the judges have pointed out, to award a score of 5/10 hahahaha 😆 up you are good at throwing number without showing the mistakes, and accusing judges and trashing everything...I gues you were dreaming ...😆

Look when we say Salman and Drashti does vulgar acts, we posted picture of leg licking and we posted pictures of Salman's hand in very objectionably placed ... Etc etc ... Talk with evidence man, or your topic s worth a trash...😆

Lauren's Bharat Natyam was 100 times better than Drashti's tango /Mano... 🤣

coming to Lauren, the only problem for me was her stiffness ..and Punit lost his balance in the end..u cant expect pure bharatnatyam in one week..what they did was good enough considering all the contraints..and I feel learning Bharatnatyam in one week is much more tougher than learning western dance forms..and sorry to say but apart from Sana noone else has learnt much of western forms in this show..Drashti is at the exact same position where she was at the start of the show..no growth nothing..all she did all these weeks is lifts and more lifts..I am not bringing her in this topic cos u are her fan but because u said that non dancers are learning western forms in one week..sorry but Drashti and Shaan arent..and kids are repititive..so if these guys an score 30/30 for repetitive perfomances, Lauren can for sure score 28 for her effort and Punit's choreography

couldn't have said better...

I have 100 other things to do than fighting with people like you who are here only to fight. My post was on my strong views that it was nowhere near to a Bharatnatyam act. I am an Indian this was as post to Indians who know what Bharatnatyam is. I dont have to post any video to prove my point. Those who know what Bharatnatyam and those who had watched that performance will understand.
And I dont have time to sit and analyze a performance which I am aweful to watch again.
You can take your time to do all the analysis and do whatever you want to do with it. Full Stop!!!

I don't think the show is unfair when you bring in professional dancer for two reasons first votes play 50% part second the format does not say professionals can't participate. But it gets unfair when you have face off in bottom two because that makes the votes irrelevant because someone like a Lauren even if she gets 0 votes she can be assured a place in the finals.

If you have 100 other jobs, WTH are you doing here ?? Wait, even the fans of DD have started giving excuse for running out of logic?? 🤣 How so you have a strong view, when you have 100 other jobs?? 🤣 Who the damn cares about your jobs? You post here and make sense, or get ready for a reply, otherwise don't post...😆

I don't think, I need to reply you on the rest, because on that point, you are allowed to talk nonsense without having to be logical or evidential ... Carry on with your NS😆
