I agree to some and do not agree to some points.
1. Judging has been inconsistent this season to say the least
2. Lauren's performance did not worth a 9 it had flaws on more that one count
Judging as we have seen in past episodes has been not only inconsistant but wrong for and against many contestants, some of the Drashti's acts did not deserve a 30 nor did some of the Lauren's performances nither did the only Shaan's performance which got him a 30.
Lauren's performance was all wrong not only in her stiffnes but also as mentioned Bharatnatyam does not have lifts. Remember they were performing classical not a mix. As far as the logic of her being foreigner goes, she is alian to Indian culture but not to dance, as someone like a Shaan or a Sid who are alian to dance per say. So why do we not expect judges to give leeway to them? If she did not appear so wrong to common man, then she is a dancer which others are not. If she can get a 28 for an alian dance form in 2 days, then why not Shaan for Malkhamb? Yes, he got it wrong but then remember he slipped and that poses a danger to health which was not in this case, so it was obvious that would show up in his face and add to that he is not a dancer in the first place.

agreed... As Lauren being Western learning Indian Classical in one week.. The same way other Indian contestants are learning Western in just one week... And how can one say dat Western dance forms arnt as tough as Bharatnatyam..? Only coz we being Indian knw how tough are Indian Classicals..?? I think d same way some western forms are also as tough as classicals wen u dnt ve basic knwledge abt it..! Like Paso Doble or Salsa or Afro or Acrobacia...! I only had one prblm in Lauren's act was the choice of song... No doubt dey tried to do something new but somehow Indian classicals dnt suit these type of songs.. I think instead of dat song dey shud ve chosed "Mere Dholna" from Bhulbhulaiya... Dat wud be awesome wid Bharatnatyam... I was really disagreed wid MD's word of "learning classical in one week is dfcult" coz all others are also putting same effort nd facing same dfculties.. Like Lauren dnt knw anything abt indian classicals so other indian contstants also dnt knw much abt westerns...!! Equal..!

@TM, Haven't watched this week's performances yet...But I agree that the judging on this crappy show has been rarely justified...😊

I can understand that you being a DD fan were blissfully blind about it till the last few weeks...😆

28 was too much 4 that performance...

28 was really too much for dat act...!! I was amazed wen Kjo gve her 10/10 for dat act and 9 to DD's best performance.. I liked KJo but nowadays he is really annoying me...!!!

You are completely wrong. I am one her fan and FYI, I did know her before JDJ.
She did not just land in JDJ because of Remo, it is because she has the talent. She can dance if you didn't already realise. And as an Indian, I am disgusted at your manners. Isn't India meant to be one of the most welcoming countries?

Lauren didn't have to come here, she is very loved in the US too. So You Think You Can Dance is still running in the US and Lauren is a favourite there but still she chose JDJ. How can you be so unappreciative towards someone so loving and humble?
I for one only watch this show for her because only she has been successful at giving great performances week after week.

Edited : no need to make personal attack on your mate.

I have to say, your comment truly disgusted me. You are ruining our reputation with comments like that.

Completely agree ... All the non-dancers were only given 5-6 days to learn salsa, contemporary, tango and whatever, put up a good show and they were always criticized about lifts going wrong, legs not being straight etc... and this, when most of the time we as audiences loved their performances. Unfair.
we have no complaints with Lauren, its the judges' comments and scoring which is sometimes so unexpected and inconsistent. They need to be fair.

The only actual 'JUDGE' there is remo. The other two are just for the trp of the show.

I find JDJ lately being quite fair 😆😆😆

And yes there were too many flaws In Lauren's performance... My sister is trained in Bharathnatyam for about 9 years and i have known the basic steps from her stage shows ...

Even i could see that many of the mudras were wrong ! Though Lauren had learnt it within a week and it must be appreciated , her performance was over rated ...May be a 26 was the right score
