Have you ever seen a tag line or anything like that in JDJ .. its all about celebrity..And if you say its for non dancer ... then Other than Sid , shan ,Mantra and cricketer all the others should be not there in the show .. Precisely ... Even Drashti also cant ..as She is not a non dancer .. She is a dancer ..Haven't you seen her dancing before the show .. i have seen more than 20 -30 dance performance of her ..

That's exactly my point Hashi...I have seen Dhrasti dancing in almost all award shows...

And what is the definition of a dancer? Are you considering only people with diplomas from dancing academies to be dancers...Remo I have heard had no technical training, but have learnt from watching others..Is he not considered a dancer? There are singers in this world who have not undergone any training from Gurus and Mahagurus...But they are famous..E.g, Kishore Kumar, Hemant Kumar/Mukherjee, Satyajit Ray <the filmmaker, Academy-winner, music director and singer>..

I always end up confused in this forum..

I am not supporting anyone and I know I am discussing a totally different topic here.

I am open to discussion and no spam please.

@Bold: First of All you Tell me who told you that? Did you get it in any colors doc or source? What's you reference to lay down that premise for the discussion?

This is what colors says about the concept of JDJ :

After a successful stint last year, Colors is back with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa - season 6. It is a television reality show and the Indian version of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and ABC's Dancing with the Stars. There will be 12 celebrities who will compete with each other along with their choreographer partners. These 12 pairs will be judged by 3 celebrity judges-Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar & Remo D'souza

To be honest, I have never been interested in watching Jhalak before but this season, as soon as I saw Lauren's performance, I was left spell-bounded and I just couldn't stop watching Jhalak...
And just because Lauren and Shonali are professional dancers, it doesn't mean that they don't deserve to win!
They have equal right as everybody else on the show.

from wikipedia

Strictly Come Dancing is a British television show, featuring celebrities with professional dance partners competing in Ballroomand Latin dances

nowhere it mentions non dancers
and if it was for non dancers only, why was isha there??
even sushant and KVB are trained dancers

Madhuri said it several times that she loves to see the journey of these celebs transforming from non-dancers to dancers...that itself proves its all biased in the selection round itself. They just mint money.

Yes I know but I was just expressing my point here.
I believe that your point was that Jhalak is not for professional dancers but that point itself is untrue so I found it pointless to argue about that point...

Isha, Was it GurMEAT? or GurMEET? 😆 were also trained, so it's like a tradition followed. They get Pros to fetch some trps and audience to make us believe it's a dance show, but at the end, undeserved contestants win just like it's now going to be. 😛

Shonali is a fantastic dancer who also happens to be a celeb through India's Got Talent. 😊

she said she loves seeing them turned into dancers
they are improving their graph

maybe you misinterpreted her
but she never meant that it is only for non-dancers
we had many trained dancers in the show past seasons
so not only lauren, kids and mukti are trained
