Brief, Official statement of the concept:
After a successful stint last year, Colors is back with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa - season 6. It is a television reality show and the Indian version of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and ABC's Dancing with the Stars.[B]There will be 12 celebrities who will compete with each other along with their choreographer partners.[B] These 12 pairs will be judged by 3 celebrity judges-Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar & Remo D'souza.
Sorry I'm quoting my post once again. Couldn't have a sane discussion due to some illiterate entities.
The above is the concept of JDJ. It's very clear from their that there will be 12 celebrities participating. And channel definitely has a clear guidelines, as to who are celebrities.
In the context of TV, the word celebrity is attached to anyone who has been a part of any TV show or Movie or taken part in any national or international events in the sports and entertainment. The fields of celebrity might be decided by the channel I didn't don't know, but till now they haven't gone beyond TV, Movie and Sports.
Those who question the celebrity status of Sana and Laurence, has no idea about them. Both of them have BW background. About Mukti, she had been part of TV shows. One simple and basic fact is, all the contestants would have objected to any one who would it fulfill the requirements to be a celebrity. That's absolutely clear, since its a competition.
So people first question the concept and interpret it wrongly. And when it's established that its celebrity nit the non dancing celebrity, then start questioning the celebrity status of the contestants. That's really very shallow way of demeaning a celebrity, whoever she/he is.
And @Shaitan-Haiwan ... Such kind of Dirty language is used by only illiterate and uncluttered low self esteemed human beings. If you are one such creature, please continue. But I don't bite back, if a dog bites me. So I will never use that language. I will maintain my dignity and that's equivalent to shooting down that mad dog, who bites around. I hope you got my message... Thank you.
