Yes lifts look amazing but it holds only a certain percentage of points but the theme, costume, choreography, ambiance, clarity, emotions, and the overall feel of the dance also should hold equal if no more weightage... Yahan har choreographer tries to put in 2-3 awesome lifts bhale hi baaki ka dance bura ho...

Yeh, that's why it ends up looking repetitive since instead of bringing something new to the floor, they all follow the same recipe.

Even with Sal's last performance, there was very little dance and emotions (DD simply didn't emote at all) but it got overshadowed by the concept, costumes and ambiance. Salman's forte is concepts and I had seen that last season. This was the first time I was impressed with his concept in JDJ6, but too bad, dance element was missing and neither did he stick with dance forms, Contemporary/acrobatia (few steps of acrobatia) Since judges themselves don't have a consistent criteria of scoring, choreographers blindly follow each other. End of the day, audience end up with less dancing and more of gimmicks/stunts.

Yes Salman is a visionary, and has great concepts... His only issue is his dance steps... He makes it more appealing by doing all these hard looking intricate lifts... The floor dance remains very less and hence it feels like even though the concept is beautiful, the ambiance was great, I am lingering for something more... It looks repetitive... Isn't he a good salsa dancer? Do a pure salsa dance, do lindy hop, do a Afro jazz, and yes do a Indian dance form which is his weakness...

Savio is another clever choreographer who always uses lifts to make his dance uplifting...

It's a torture Chandu... Watch at ur own risk... Last week he did Radha, and it was a disaster... I felt a sense of Dejavu from the first time thy did Bollywood on Dhoom tana... Almost the same choreography...
Seriously even DIDs Sanam would choreograph a better routine 😆... And to top it Nakul looked so proud of his work...

I remember seeing his "Dhoom tana" performance. I remember ROFLing when he mentioned how if she doesn't do the mudras properly, she will offend half the population. I was like huhhh, I mean general viewers don't have much knowledge about mudras and all, so how can someone offend half the population 😆😆...I am sure it might be important for people who follow the dance forms, but that proud feeling of his made it even more hilarious.

Anyhoo, back to JDJ, so far Savio hasn't been much impressive. From what I keep reading he showed his creativity in season 3 the best. As for this season, he is gone, so no chance for any redemption. And I would love to see what Salman has to offer when it comes to Indian dance forms which aren't his forte, that would be a real challenge for him.

The 2 dance shows I enjoy watching are DID and JDJ..I have never found DID vulgar or cheap anytime..However, JDJ is kind of losing it I feel..I have no complain about the costumes..u need to wear what suits the dance form..but the Dristhi -salman act was very embarassing to watch with family!! they were actually doing it but in a dance form Lol..we dont need that kind of elaboration..we totally get it!!
What also annoys me is Madhuri's lovey dovey performances with all her co-stars who come as guests to the show!! C'mon this a dance show..Madhuri if you really want to share the stage with guests, dance with them, which is what the show is about!! dont get kinky with them 😡 Like Manish always says Dr. Nene's BP must be rising everytime he watches the show 😆

Lol. I don't get why people throwing examples of Real life and Movies in this thread. When they are presenting those examples they shouldn't forget actresses who wear skimpy clothes in item songs, and gals who wear skimpy clothes in real are as much criticized as Drashti Dhami. One gal gave example of Vidya and kareena dance in Fevicol being vulgar whether she tried to know people found those songs as much vulgar as Salshti's leg licking Scene. Well, for me, whether its Fevicol or O la la or Salshti's any dance are all Vulgar and embarrassing, which could be seen in Cinema hall only, when family ain't around but not in home when family members are sitting at each corner of bed.🤣 even though these fans can watch drashti's performance with their respective families, but me never.
