They didn't have her on the show because of her DID fame, but because she's also an actress. Last season, Lauren, who is a trained professional dancer was a contestant for the same reason. She acted in Remo's ABCD.

And I think it's a good thing that they bring in professionals every year. It makes everyone else step up their game. You don't see the kind of improvement in everyone in any other dance reality show. Why? Because the stakes are high in JDJ.

But Lauren also had to get accustomed to Indian dance forms, expressions, and lip syncing, while Shakti's already accustomed to doing so, so it's not fair to compare the two. I mean, I love Shakti Mohan, but I don't find this to be fair.

Going by what they're posting on his page, I'd say not. And no, I don't think he's a trained dancer, but that's why he's on Jhalak. To learn.

Also, like I said. IF is not a good population sample. If you look at other social media outlets like Tumblr or Twitter, there are more people rooting for him there.

Anyways, I'm mostly rooting for Mouni. I don't think it really matters who wins because at the end of the day, it's the votes that'll take away the trophy, not talent. I'm just going to watch the show because my favorites are in it, and I'll get to see awesome performances.

That is very true! But at the same time, there are dance forms that even Shakti isn't accustomed to. I don't believe she has a strong background in classical dance and probably none in the new dance forms they're introducing like Bolero, Lumbada, Jitterbug, etc. There is plenty for everyone to learn.

Obviously, she's going to perform better than a lot of the other contestants there, but that will only make them get better. They bring in a professional almost every season so that the competition is tougher, and we get the best end product, the performance.

So what? I make posts on Sanaya too. Does it mean that just because I am a Sanaya fan I cannot be an Ashish fan?

Besides, posts are irrelevant to votes. We make posts about the actor we love the most or about the character we connect to the most in a show, but we still appreciate and/or love the other actors from the show...and so if many RR fans had to choose somebody to vote for from all the JDJ contestants, don't you think they will vote for the actor that is the main lead in the show they watch (whether they watch it for SI or the story or whatever is irrelevant here)?

Ashish is going to rock this. He now has a huge fanbase and I'm sure Sanaya's RR fanbase would also prefer to root for him over other contestants (if they do not care for any of the other contestants on JDJ).

I'm rooting for both Ashish and Karan Tacker. But if people like you keep up this attitude I'll just feel inclined to lend my full support to Ashish.

I am a Shakti fan but honestly , I feel the forums render only a small portion of the majority fan /viewer population who vote . Its irrelevant to judge the overwhelming majority by the fans in a forum . Shakti and Ashish both have a huge and supportive fanbase but it can , in no way decide who is the tougher contender . Both are amazing in their respective places . :) . Lets just sit back and let the competition start and enjoy . :)
