Reality=popularity

All reality talent shows are more like popularity shows not a show of your talent at the end of the day. It does not matter how talented you are. If you are from a particular regionand you make it to the finals they will make sure you win, or you are generally popular.

Please take my comments in a light vein. I do not mean to offend anyone. Just observing a trend and passing an opinion. Its all tounge in cheek !!! :)

Winner : Qazi : reason popularity

Winner : Rooprekha ( North East)

SRGMPA Challenge 2005

Winner : Debojit ( North East )

Vineet lost beacuse people were sick of his mentor. The same mentor was better behaved this time.

Indian Idol 1

Winner : Abhijit ( Mumbai boy )

the other finalist was from Bihar, he didn't stand a chance against the voting power of mumbaikars.

Indian Idol 2

Sandeep vs Karunya

Similar scenario - karunya did not stand a chance against the voting power of the folks of rajasthan. the percentage of people in the south who watch hindi could not match it.

Jhalak Dhiklaja 1

Shevta vs Mona

Who can beat the popularity of Jassi inspit of the fact that Shveta was the more talented dancer.

Indian Idol 3

Prashant vs Amit

One from Bengal one from Meghalaya. could the indian public resist the appeal of a sepoy making it big.. and that too a sepoy from Bengal. Amit did not stand a chance against that. Who doesn't love the under dog !!!

Aneek vs Amanat vs Raja

Amanat was the best, but was there even the remotest chance a pakistani would win - unlikely. but commendable that he made it to the finals. of course it was not the indian population that got him there. it was the international voting that ensured he made it to the finals. And did anyone realistically think that raja stood a chance against Aneek - soemone from the North East ie: Bengal.

SO BOTTOM LINE IS

Tapur's elmination is purely a result of non popularity. Not many people have heard of her comapred the fame of the others.

Aadesh has not been the most popular judge on SVOI - that must have been a contributing factor to his elimination.

Yes your observation is absolutely perfect 👏 👏 ...In all these Reality shows,Talent always takes a back seat and these shows r all reduced to Mere Game shows

Either the public votes for their Popular stars irrespective of whether they r good or not or they vote for their Regional people irrespective of whether they r talented or not

And this Trend will continue till this SMS system will exist

In a reality show one who is more popular emerges as d winner rather than those who r deserving. Public votes 4 their favorite no matter they deserve it or not.

Well ya ... and hence it is likely tht ronit , prachi and jay will easily go a long way in this competition ....
TV stars definitely hv an edge over the other contestants ...
But hey , i dont mind mind if one of the three win ... bcuz they are really good dancers , well , ok Jay was a bit dheela in the beginning but he has bucked up now ...

No offence , but i feel Mini is a clumsy dancer ( and those high heels really dont help ! ) ... Sonali's performances r boring to watch , Negi sir seems a bit lost here and there as if he is trying to recollect his steps , and cyrus needs to move his body a bit more ...
Sandhya is one of the best in the show ..
and ya mika's (non-existant) dancing is pathetic 😆

I do have my favourites .. but heck as long as Mika doesnt win .. i really dont mind ... 😆

At least the others are working hard and pushing themselves ....but mika seems to be very confident that his votebank will take him thru the next round !!
