well for me it doesnt mater at all and its apity that bollwood considers these factors to be very important i guess thats why we get to see only maybe 5-6 movies which can be termed as "good movies" and the rest are all crap focussing only on how glamourous u look .

I admire hollwood int hat coz it doesnt matter and acting and the script and story is the only thing that matters. aged or not,fat or slim doesnt matter at all .

I can understand if people want to get slim for healthy reasons or for themselves but to get slim to get chances in bollwood is well........ its a shame .

I am so glad that atleast malayalam and tamil movies dont focus on the figure of an actress and instead they give more importance to acting and roles and I respect that .

I find it a shame to even justify some one calling a person ugly or not deserev success just coz of their figure . I know its a gact in bollwood that slim is in but that does not make it right .

for eg : the public voting always see the most popular candidate winning rather than the most deserving one so does that mean thats the fact and we should all accept it no right and thats the very reason that many feel that svethe should win and having debates for it .

then why cant the debate be in favour of tis too ,isnt it the same , bollywood gives more importance to figure but its wrong to do so and we should never justify it .

I agree with you with the thigh comment. She is not fat but she is kind of heavy side. I feel sorry for tobi because he has to lift her up. esp in the last episode where he mona had lie down flat in his lap-even my dad commented that tobi is very strong guy to lift such hefty woman..sorry no offence.

wah buffie u shd be a nutrionist or doc 😆 u defined all the categories of fat.....moanis on the plump side n her costumes make it look even worse...esp during the lifts, her thighs obviously show n its certainly not a pleasnt sight coz they rnt the leanest of thighs! NO offence meant to mona fans...im jsut sayin tht the lifts dont look aesthetic...dont mean to sound rude abt mona......im pretty fat myself! 😳

Agree with some of your points esp the movies one. Regional films dont stress looks and size as much as Bollywood. But in Hollywood, its worse than Bollywood. SO many actresses and actors go through eating disorders. Being a size two or four is considered on the plump side. Even a size zero, which is the smallest size. Some even resort to drugs in order to be skinny. Most Bollywood actresses are hardly on the emacitated side. Most of them are slim but look healthy. Doesnt mean they have healthy lifestyles. Heard lots of them go on crash diets if they have to look a certain way for a role. Yo yo diets. Lose some weight, then gain it back again. You have some directors like Aditya Chopra who make their actresses lose 8-10+ kgs for a role. I guess you have to pay a price for success. Some people feel its ok and others may not...There are actors like Ram Kapoor who arent toned or slender but still have many fans and have made it big. He has never been the slim side, def not in Kasam Se or Dhadkan. There are some TV actors like Gauri Pradhan are very weight conscious. Neha Bamb had to lose a lot of weight before KYPH.

Its all genes, well, usually. Mona's parents are on the heavy side as well. Seems like Shveta has always been on the thin side. She's very slim but doesn't look emacitated or anything.

As for what is fat, it depends...if you're in showbiz, movies, even music, its different, skinny or toned is usuall in. In sports, athletes have a BMI above the limits, sometimes in the range that is considered obese. But they have more muscle so they're not considered obese or fat. So you just cant go by the BMI index either.

Fat def doesnt mean ugly. There are beautiful people who are on the heavier side too and there are skinny people who arent good looking at all...

Mona definitely isn't skinny because if you look closely you find her porky arms and thighs 😕 But I don't think she is very FAT! She is just a little overweight and would look better if she lost a couple pounds 😛 Its better for stars to look their very best 😃

Actresses who can, to the generation of today with their mindset and their perception might hold an asset. But those who look presentable, and have the merits of acting among other things still make it big. Antara Mali for ex, this other girl from James i cant remember her name she's annoying..both have "perfect" bodies and can get into any dress..but they can't get into any role. I think for Mona its only the start ..and she'll definetly evolve in the terms of looks, talent wise..she's already proven herself on TV and has her credentials. now she's learning dancing so thats also an asset. Shveta has it all which works to her benefit and I think it gives her the higher up.

I agree having a good body isnt going to cut it for anyone in Bollywood. You need some acting credentials first.

I agree with most of ur points , But there is just one difference here and that is the actresses dont lose weight to get into a movie or be glamourous for their movies, they do it for themselves . Whatever they do ,lose weight do suregeries etc etc are for themselves only and not for the movies they do or want to do .

when u watch a hollwood movie ,u can see meryl streep aged and yet bagging good roles , u have Morgan Freeman ,very aged yet acting in good lead roles, then u have Bruce Willis ,who is bald yet he has so many fans , there are so many films which doesnt look at glamour and figure at all .I mean hats off to them and thats why hollwood gives out the best films and its a treat to watch them .

here in Bollwood ,the actresses are made to lose weight not for themselves but for their success in movies coz glamour only sells and thats NOT RIGHT . I think the story ,script and good acting should be the recipe for good films & successful films

Anyway one day I hope someone changes this trend and tries to change things and take the initiative to do so.
