JDJ needs to get it's act together : REVIEW

when one is a market leader it shows!!!! in the fickle world of television it is even more so glaringly apparent. when star group hijacked bbc's "dancing with the stars" and created it's own interpretation nach baliye", it worked for them. however sony entertainment television was not left far behind. they bought the rights from bbc and stuck to original format, which was true to the various dance forms of the world and it had it's own charm and grace.

jhalak dikhla jaa dancing with the stars" is in it's third year now and sadly everything has come a full circle. all of sudden "jhalak dikhla jaa dancing with the stars" has gone totally bollywood. gone is the charm that it had!!!!.....gone is the edge that it had over the other dance shows!!!!!.......sad but true!!!!!!

the three female judges on the show are the legendary choreographer saroj khan, the every so beautiful and talented actress juhi chawla and the "kajrare girl" vaibhavi merchant. surprisingly, the judges have nothing much to say. juhi chawla's usual jovial sense is missing and we wonder why.

the sets of "jhalak dikhla jaa dancing with the stars – 03" projects a very gloomy bluish atmosphere. the set color is blue, has strange club cards motif all round and there is nothing that appeals to one's eyes. adding to this garishness are the anchor's how seems to be totally disinterested and not at all involved with the show. both shiv pandit and shweta tiwari seems to be just doing a job and nothing more than that.

if this was not enough, the celebrities are nothing to talk about. the sad part is the judges are a bit bias towards some, namely "gauhar drama queen khan" and "bhaichung bhutia".

saroj khan giving out the token money award is also not a novel factor as it has happened umpteen number of times in "nach baliye" and it seems that they are repeating the same acts that have happened in "nach baliye" years back… why??

koena mitra, the item girl from hindi films was got in as an "april fool" gimmick. well koena looked like a "scary – freak" straight out of the "scary movie" series. was it suppose to be the trp booster???

well, all we have to say is that sony entertainment television needs to pull up their act pretty fast and get things up and running before it's too late.
