Hey guys,
My first post on JDJ, so don't be too harsh on me. Just kidding, I can see some familiar names!!! Hello guys…
Well, don't you think this time the JDJ is a bit unfair, I mean there needs to be a balance but if you analyze, all the female contestants are brilliant dancers, and all of them have performed earlier on the stage. Monica, bhagyashree, Chak de girl, they are actresses and danced in films, I can excuse chak de girl, shilpa here. Hard kaur is a performer, she rocks the stage whenever she gives a stage performance, Gauhar is a model and her body is in brilliant shape and she is so flexible. Parul has given stage performances before; she even danced in the serial Bidaai. The girls are very competent. While the male contestants are on the losing side, especially people like Moinder amaranth, Bhaichung, Ram kapoor, even Anand Raj anad who have never danced on stage.
There is a lot of imbalance, and that's why I have lost interest. JDJ is not a regular dance competition. It is about people learning something new, and improving over time. I agree they have not learnt international dance forms but there is a difference in confidence levels when you have performed on stage before, see, Hard kaur was super-confident, while ram and bhaichung looked a bit nervous.
It's a one-sided game so far, and it hasn't impressed me this time. First one was very good, second was okay, the third season is a bit disappointing, even in the form of the judges, they were inconsistent. I loved juhi though; she was very honest and said everything with her trademark sweet killer smile.
Ram surprised me big time; OMG!!!! I thought he would make a fool of himself, I was changing channels to avoid watching him, but he managed pretty well. I am a great fan of his acting; I could never bring myself to even think that he would dance. Having learnt dance and given stage performance myself, I know how difficult it is. But I enjoyed seeing him, there was a smile plastered on my face watching him move, his expressions were good. His charm gets him away with everything. He can improve a lot though. Bollywood dancing has a lot of thumkas and jhatkas, according to me he will be doing samba next, so that style might suit him, since he has to keep his body erect and he can very well lift his choreographer.
Your thoughts!!!God bless
