Partial to Shilpa Shinde?

Hi everyone! My name is Mandy and am new to this forum 😊 just wanted to share my thoughts on Shilpa’s performance yesterday. I think we can safely agree that Shilpa and Zorawar are two non dancers in the group. By non dancer I don’t mean someone who can dance decently but not professionally trained. I mean somebody who is not comfortable dancing in any form or place. Yesterday Shilpa’s performance was absolutely mediocre. I would have still been ok with the scores if Rubina got a better score than her. Am No fan of Rubina’s but even though her performance had flaws it was better than Shilpa’s by miles. It was very elegant. Shilpa could barely move. Yet both got a score of 21 whereas Amruta, Gashmeer who were actually best performers yesterday got a mere 24. If the judges wanted to be a little strict and give less scores in the beginning to push the contestants harder, then those two getting 24 and Rubina getting 21 is fine but Shilpa clearly deserved 18 or less. Had this been s6 or s7 where contestants were given 10 on 10 on a regular basis then 21 would still be ok. But Shilpa getting 21, same as Rubina who was much better than her or even Gashmeer, Gunjan or Amruta getting 24 despite the stellar performances they gave is not fair. Please do share your thoughts 😊

i don't think they are being partial to shilpa and Disclaimer am no fan of either.. shilpa have improved by leaps and bounds and his choreogrpaher did very smart choreogrpahy mainly focusing on expression it was an improved act by Miles then her first.. however,, i do agree with you on the fact that scores were lower for the other 3.. Gash, Ammu Definately both deserved a 27 those acts were worth 27 and Rubi a 24.. caz she had a lot of smoothness and calmness to it too.. the Judgement is feeling kinda lazy.. i don't like this sab ek jitne marks dena bhi it just feels like a lazy copy paste by all.. maybe it is only me but i also felt they were editing nora's critique a few times to different people like she would be saying something and then they would cut it in mid

Exactly! Not saying 21 is too much or that Shilpa hasn’t improved compared to her last act. But relatively it was not as good as Rubina’s. Maybe if Rubina had got 23-24 and Gashmeer and Amruta 27 it would be justified. Yeah it’s weird ki all judges have the same score. Isse toh better hai they all give a combined score. These reality shows are less real and have more drama 😆 Sonu Nigam himself exposed the reality of fake competitions where the judges are forced to praise performances or get testy eyed.

It did feel extremely scripted that the 3 judges gave the same score in each of the performances. I get they’re trying to be strict but a little variation in the scores would’ve seemed more realistic.
Also in the previous seasons, 6 was considered as an extremely low score due to the abundance of 10s given regularly which created this understanding that anything lower than a 7 is a bad score.
Rubina’s performance definitely deserved that 21, and yes it was better than Shilpa’s by a big margin, but I feel like they couldn’t bring themselves to give any contestant lower than a 7 lol.

7 would definitely be considered low given the highest was 10. But here it was 8. Does this mean that Gashmeer and Amruta who danced so fantastically are just ahead of Shilpa by a point in average? That was weird. Shilpa’s dancing is not even 1% close as theirs. By Shilpa’s own standards it maybe better but definitely not when it comes to comparison. If 8 can be the highest, I guess 6 is acceptable 😆

That’s why I said had there been even a little variation in the scores of the judges it would’ve seemed more rational. If not all 9s across the board, Amruta and Gashmeer or even Gunjan could’ve gotten atleast one 9 making the margin between their scores and Shilpa/Paras’s scores a little more. Same with Rubina I feel like she could’ve gotten atleast one 8 although her performance wasn’t the best but atleast better than Shilpa and Paras.

I agree 👍🏼 there should be some variation.

Shilpa, Daadi, Zorawar deserved 15-16 not more. It's quite weird some people who actually danced well had the same scores as them.

Niti who actually danced better than Shilpa got lesser scores. Her footwork was pretty good. Zorawar, Shilpa and Ali fall into the same category. Maybe Shilpa’s expressions are good but JDJ is a dancing show not acting competition 😳
