Apparently, the telly industry is speculating about the 'real' reason why the strongest contender (arguably) Isha Sharvani backed out of the celebrity dance show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa just before its finale.
The actress, who fell and fractured her hand a few weeks ago, returned after giving a couple of episodes a miss and managed to performMalkhamb in the semi final round.
However, the actress finally bowed out of the show following another injury which resulted in nine stitches on her face.
And if sources closely associated with the show are to be believed then there is more to it than what meets the eye.
Our khabroo close to Isha tells us, "After fracturing her hand, she apparently fell at a friend's place where she partied the whole night and hurt her face. Her doctor told her that the injury isn't serious though the lady in the eye of the storm chose to tell her close folks that she got nine stitches or so.
She informed them that she has decided to opt out of the show finally. However, she didn't talk about her face injury at all and blamed her hand injury for opting out of the show."
Another source adds, "Apparently, Isha has asked for compensation from the channel for her injury through her manager. Whether her demand was fulfilled or not is not known. She enjoyed herself at the after party which happened after the shoot of Jhalak finale wrapped up and she didn't look pain-stricken. The point is the prospective brightest winning potential jodi is out of the contest."
What makes us wonder is that if Isha could perform malkhamb with a broken arm, she could have easily pushed herself for the remaining two performances. But we guess she had her reasons for opting out.
When contacted, Channel sources refuted the buzz, "It's not true and Isha opted out citing serious health issues."
We also tried contacting, Isha but she didn't revert to our text message. Apparently, she is already holidaying somewhere.
