Too much Prop use and not enough dance

I love JDJ and usually because we get to see international dance forms being attempted by desi actors/actresses and personalities.

However I feel that for some reason there seems to be a lot more emphasis on props this season or at least for the past few episodes and not enough dancing.

The contestants seem to be going all out with costume and props and when they dance it's not enough. Also there seems to be a lot of freestyle or hip hop but not the use of any of the other dance forms.

I would love to see the Argentinean tango, salsa, ballroom, tango even a bit more of bollywood thrown in.

I feel that Rashmi and Deepak are the only ones at present who seem to be doing a lot more dancing in their acts compared to the other contestants.

And as much as I love Salman and Isha i would love to see them attempt some other dance styles and forms because they tend to do well when they do them. For instance the Paso Doble they did was really good.

I think as a dance show that is unique because it's supposed to use so many various dance forms should perhaps bring back the focus to that rather than using props. The equivalent shows around the world such as the UK and US don't use as many props and we get to see some great dancing.

Not sure what anyone else thinks? But please feel free to dicuss

YEP - Rashmi is the only whose performances have enough DANCE - @ she is the queen of floor dance - very VERSATILE - @@

I want to see ISHA performing on a MARATHI LAVANI - @

Bharati Performing AERIEL ACT - @

I agree with you that props have become the forefront in the performances...Bharti's performance today on masakli is a classic example of it...

on the other-had I disagree with the fact that only Rashmi/Deepak are versatile...they are but I also think Darsheel/Avneet and Rithwik/Sneha are also versitale...

Ishaa shpuld do full on bhagra or lavani...she needs to do something really different to what she has been doing although can't wait to see tommrow's performance on beauty and the beast can't take my eyes off Salman from the preview clip they showed at the end of the episode.

I think Bharti perfoming an aerial act is perhaps a bit difficult but to be honest I think Savio has tried all that he can in terms of dance with Bharti and I think now it's gotten to the point where he is perhaps struggling and again I think it's more to do with the fact that there is too much emphasis on prop work so they're trying to incorporate that.

I do like Rashmi and love Deepak as a choreographer so glad that he's back although as they are wild card entries they aren't my favourites. However I appreciate their performances and dance because they keep it simple in terms of showing what they are tasked with showing and that is the dance style.

Which is why they are getting the marks because now that the competition is reaching it's final stages the other contestants need to start showcasing their versatility as dancers.

I think the judges need to make a point and try to limit the use of props.

Deepak and Rashmi are the only duo who actually dances with less props

As much as I adore Salman & Isha, I'm still waiting for an out and out dancing number from them. Wanna see them doing hip hop or classical which they haven't showcased yet. Their paso doble was brilliant and they have so much persona and strength to pull of full on dancing on stage and it's sad they aren't going for it

Rashmi is wild card entry but so far she and deepak has danced well.

Isha and salman should dance without using prop.

I liked darsheel and avanti's dance.

While i agree with ur comments on Rashmi i feel that Ritwik also dances the most without resorting 2 props. Only prob was his over exuberance/energy. He needed 2 tone it down which he has done this week. So now he is perfect!

I dint know any of them before this show but really love watching them on this show.

I am getting bored with Isha's gymnastic moves. KW provides me with eye-candy since he is easy on the eye 😆

I agree...i adore Isha and Salman but they need to step out of their comfort zone and do something out of the box. Classical, semi classical, hip hop, even a masala bollywood number will do.

Rashmi- Deepak are doing great in terms of showing versatilty...and their acts have more dance in them and Rashmi pulls off the acts really well !
