Gotta disagree with you here. Gurmeet and Shampa's robotic was much better technically and conceptually. It had the sci-fi aspect, a bit of cutesy romance and pathos at the end, the body language and expressions were consistent and it was a near-flawless performance, the only one of GC's that I think truly deserved the 30, and definitely his best so far. Shibani's was not as smooth and she fell out of character more than once because her body language suffered. Her cuts and body isolation were not really very clean (except in a few parts), and Punit's choreography was good, but not consistent. He threw in some Bollywood-y hip movements in the middle that were distinctly un-robotic, and that felt really jarring to me.

I had issues with the concept too because I couldn't fathom why the Jhalak trophy figures would be doing robotic when the aesthetic of the sculptures is so graceful, and the whole body is moulded as one continuous form. P&S' costumes and makeup were modelled on this too and did nothing to help them. Where does body isolation, which is the technical base of robotic fit with those figures? I just felt like this performance had a disconnect of all the key elements. They wanted to do something new and cool, they wanted a fancy concept and they wanted a song that nobody would expect, check, check and check...but they forgot to check if these elements made sense when put together in one act. 😕

Just managed to watch the performances.

Bharti/Savio - ok. I think she'd make a way better host than Ragini. If she gets eliminated, she should join Manish - they're both hilarious!

Darsheel/Avneet - it was touching but nothing so great. Jay really. Needs to think out of the box. There's no rule that says he can't dance with Darsheel. Personally for me, the level that show has come to - their dance was lacking.

Gia/Nishaant - great concept but I agree with Remo's comments - Gia didn't look angry and fired. She looked forced and somewhat uncomfortable. She should've done something a little more soft to suit herself.

Isha/Salman - they were good. I really want to see Isha do something fast beat and peppy. I want to see how she holds up to that. Personally, she doesn't look like she's having fun, to me it seems they're just there to dance and get 10s, which is fine I guess but I'd really like to see her do something like her 'dirty picture dance' but a happier version.

Rithvik/Sneha - I loved it and I wanna know what he eats to keep jumping around like a yo-yo! Lol. I didn't think he deserved 27, maybe one more or 2 more would've been nice. He wasnt that bad.

Karan/Mohena - now this was a '27' performance. And no, I didn't really think of it as 'vulgar' - but I wasn't really paying that much attention. I was bored.

Shibani/Puneet - LOVED it! It was definitely purrfect! Shibani was bang on with her facials to moves to basically everything. I really enjoyed their performance and hope they do better next week.

Gurmeet/Shampa - the guys too stiff. I feel as though he's out to prove that he's an angry young man. Dude, we get it - you're angry, can we see some dance now? I found their performance mediocre.

Ravi/Gunjab - for the first time I actually liked his performance. It wasn't anything spectacular but it was good and the marks were apt.

Rashmi/Dipak - definitely performance of the night. Madhuri was spot on, they've raised the bar real high and hopefully they'll keep this performance in mind when scoring and dish out 10s like ladoos!

I must be in the minority here but I am TIRED of Salman-Isha's flexing! Seriously, I feel Salman is taking the easy route of choreographing gymnast moves which will be obviously nailed by Isha, given that that kind of dancing is her forte! Salman is just presenting it well with interesting concepts and the judges are getting floored - this was fine with me in the first couple of weeks but now when the competition has heated up and the other contestants are stepping out of their comfort zone and trying out different dance forms, I think it is HIGH TIME Salman-Isha stepped up too, instead of banking on gimmicks. Why can't we see Isha attempt something like hip-hop, popping and locking or even classical/semi-classical? Those are the kind of dance forms that aren't really in her zone and one would really be able to take a call on her versatility as a dancer if she tried something like that. S-I are extremely over rated and I was not at all thrilled by their aerial act, may be I would have been thrilled by it if this were olympics and not JDJ!

Coming to Gurmeet-Shampa this week , I was really disappointed. Shampa is undoubtedly THE BEST of the JDJ choreographers and I was feeling a little bad for her earlier on in the show given that she got Gurmeet who was obviously not Sushant but both her and Gurmeet have surprised me as the show progressed. I was surprised by what Shampa could make Gurmeet do and I was surprised even more that Gurmeet did it given his martial arts bend. He is definitely not the best dancer but at least I have seen him grow - his robotic act was really one of his best performances and I was quite surprised by his poise in the semi-classical last week . Even though he was not perfect, I had to give it to him for quite a good effort and that was also a display of Shampa's skill as a brilliant thinking and creative choreographer , which is why I love her :). So Shampa choreographing that action-dance or whatever sequence yesterday was quite a bummer for me and Gurmeet's graph took a hit, according to me, with that performance.

Coming to Rashmi, I always knew that she was a very strong dancer and Deepak has hit a gold mine with her. What I love about Rashmi, besides her strength as a performer, is her determination to step out of her comfort zone and attempt ANYTHING! She has this fire and this bring it on attitude which is terrific :). Yesterday's performance, was unique for the restriction they have laid on themselves and I would give thumbs up to Rashmi for trying something so difficult in her very first performance on the stage. This kind of spirit is what makes it interesting for me to watch, personally :).

Coming to Rithvik - boy what energy that guy has! He seems hyper and reminds me of Bakhtiyaar sans the attitude - Rithvik is a very very strong performer and I would put him in the same bracket as Rashmi - he too can attempt any dance form with utmost confidence even if it falls out of his comfort zone. I am really intrigued to see what he can bring to the table :) .

Honestly, I have only loved Darsheel-Avneet - for their age, they are giving no less competition to any of the other celebrities and are trying different dance forms. I really connect with their performances - there is a sincerity and genuine enjoyment when they are performing and I find it really endearing, not to mention that they have been QUITE consistent as well. They are my favorites on this show!

Karan-Mohena are perhaps the most good looking of all the pairs and Karan's decent, given that he is a non-dancer but I think they are HIGHLY over-rated. Neither did I find Mohena's choreography novel nor did I feel that Karan was "perfect" for a non-dancer. If the judges want to give grace marks to non-dancers, then let them give it to the other non dancers too or is Karan an exception because he is good looking and is more popular? :) . And it cannot be more obvious that the whole Karan-Isha thing is scripted 🥱.

Punit-Shibani - I highly doubt Shibani's claims that she is not a dancer. I would not say their dancing is bad or anything but I just don't find myself drawn to their performances and can't connect with them somehow. Their dance, for most part, seems mechanical to me.

EDIT:

I don't have much to add regarding other performances.

The judging, is something I have a problem with - I don't expect anything from KJo but I always thought Madhuri and Remo had some sense, especially Remo! Of late, Remo seems to be losing his credibility as a judge, for me.

i don't know if anyone thinks like this but i always find that Remo's 10s are reserved for his beloved Salman, Puneet and Mohena 😕 salman is good and his imagination runs far better than Remo himsel... but that Mohena and Puneet !!! those 2 are not superb.. i don't think mohena herself is a very good dancer... still Remo loves her too much..even in wild card..most of the choreographers were Remo's... cheating cheating 😡

Totally agree with your take on these 2. Rithvik certainly did not deserve a 27! Especially not if Karan can a 30 for his Contemporary act! I'm not anti-Karan but after seeing a performance like that of Rashmi-Deepak, his 30 feels like... correction, it IS... a big joke! There have been far better Contemporary dances on JDJ. And yes I too got bored 😆

Karan Wahi did well...pretty nice act to watch...but seriously that was not a performance worthy of 30 ! May be a 27-28 would have been fair. I believe Rithvik did a tad better than him overall.
On the other hand , Rashmi nailed it !! She was brilliant. Although i am a Salman-isha fan but i am least hesitant to state Rashmi outshined Isha this time.

This week belonged to Rashmi and Deepak. Personally, I loved their dance and im not able to stop myself from watching their performamce.

*Isha and Salman: Good work. But it looked like isha gave only 1 expression when the camera came to her. this should be a 9 not a def 10
*shibani and puneet: great work but sometimes she needs put a little bit more control just a little more while moving
*gurmeet and shampa : nice work but it just showed only martial arts and gymnastics mostly little less dance. it was 8 or 9 not 10
*gia and nishant: i should respect gia's effort for trying to attempt but she shouldve moved her body in the beginning a bit more to show her anger

and yeah this is my opinion. if any body is offended, then plz dont take it seriously as im just sharing my views on performances i got to watch only these performances

Hated the theme...coz it encouraged participants to stay in their comfort zone...that some of them tried something different was commendable, but then wasn't it against the theme? 😕 debatable! What exactly is going on in jdj 5?! It has a feel of 'Indian Celebrities' Got Talent' rather than being a dance show! Thank God for the 2 new RDs!

Bharti -savio...entertaining...but guess she was chosen for just that. Manish constantly including her to comment on every 3 rd act...not cool! She is a participant...not a co host...her gags can be a hit n miss too. As much as I like her...at this stage...I really want it to b a dance competition!step it up or be eliminated!

Darsheel - avni...they tried to incorporate tear inducing emotions...since only then u will get a 10 in this season...Darsheel struggled with lipsync n lifts...but by Jove, he can dance! Jay should try other forms with him...

Ritwik...loved his act! They tried humour...but the judges don't bite comedy...however..the marks seem well deserved. The packages bit was a bit confusing..esp when as courier ppl they sat down on them!

Gia...it was something different...but she wasn't in the element. Yikes...she mixed up the 2 Goddesses too...Durga n Kali...bit more of research next time? N she is never there in hawa Mahal after her act! When a participant doesnt have team spirit...it ticks me off!

Isha -salman...I love these 2...but the current act felt like circus. I give it to
them for doing something difficult effortlessly, but elements of dance seemed missing! Isha can't emote..KJo should know that by now! Did not deserve 30! N what's with trying to hook her up with Karan? Trp gimmick...n sick one at that 🤢

Let's talk about Karan...he's got potential! Act was good...but he still has a lot to learn...hmm...i felt his scoring needed to b @ par with Ritwik. Y did judges miss out on minor issues...because he was debuting...n why was that any different from RD? Damned biased lot!

Ravi. Did what he is renowned for! However..he always incorporates part of it in all his acts...n y do I feel the theme was decided keeping him in mind?! Needs to go soon...

Puneet- shibani...loved it! I am not aware of technical errors...but they entertained me well...want them to take bigger risks from here on...they can surely pull it off!

Gurmeet shampa... Was his act thus shaped because of injury? Did he become stiffer because of pain? Is that y he got a 30? 🤓 not sure...though he was in pain...n hats off to him for doing the act...but I was bored n too lil dancing! Judges...if u don't sympathize openly...yet give out sympathy votes...doesnt that make a hypocrite out of u?

Rashmi Desai...woman...BRILLIANT!No other word for u...big big thanks for not touching Bollywood or Contemporary dance forms...! Now this is what I call dancing n putting your best foot forward! Only act IMO which deserved 30! Eagerly waiting for more from u...till next week...
