@Papia: Thanks for agreeing with me.

@Amour: Exactly. The kind of work that the other contestants are putting into this is totally new to them, whereas Isha has been practicing with probably much more intensity for her whole life! Surely the discrepancy is bound to show. That is why the even though her performances have not been consistent to me, if I were to judge them, the judges have not been able to give her anything less than 30 because she is so far ahead of the competition.

Basically, because of her background, even her minimum effort will still merit a 30 in relation to the other performers. I would say it is the ignorance of the producers that has led to this anomaly. They thought she is some small-time actress who also dances, but I don't think they really fathomed the depth of her existing work.

@chocobear: KJo is a talented man in his own right; if he were judging anything to do with film I would not think twice, but his judging Isha is just plain silly. I wouldn't say it is an insult to her talent, because it is a choice she has made to get a bigger platform, but it is definitely not tapping her talent to the full either. If you want to know more about her, you can google Daksha Seth Dance Company, of which she is the lead dancer. I think she also has a youtube channel.

@Hajmola lovers: Please stop spamming a perfectly good discussion thread. Nobody is jealous. There are legitimate questions and concerns here that are being discussed and you are kinda killing the mood (PS: I prefer the imli flavour in the purple bottle).

Dance is an unforgiving and physically taxing art. If you don't practice for a week it shows in your body. So even if JayatiB learned Odissi, if she hasn't practiced in a while her body is not going to do what she tells it to right off the bat. Isha, on the other hand is lightening her load, doing just one 3 minute performance per week as opposed to 2 hour productions, travelling all over the country and world. There is a difference between having been trained once, going to classes, and being a dancer. There is no way to compare Jayati or GC's training with Isha's. It is simply not the same and that is a fact. As far as I know, Isha dances pretty much 24/7, which cannot be compared to people who do it on the side, along with their day job.

The tag line of Jhalak used to be 'dancing with stars'... I'm not sure if they were meant to put 'dancing with non-dancers'? Who knows...

Isha and Salman deserve every bit of praise they're getting, there is NOTHING overhyped... They are the hype, over and under.

I wasn't too keen on Isha/Salman either, mainly because Isha is a trained dancer but now it seems no other dancer would compliment Salman, no other dancer would've done justice to his choreography. His talent and hard work would've been a waste! The mere fact that they get perfect 30 every week is in itself a proof that Salman is an amazing choreographer and Isha does full justice to whatever she has to work with.

Bang on😃 hez the bestess choreogrpher in the world ...a creative genious

SO it should be mentioned somewhere ..Jhalakh Dikhlaja ..A show where people are non dancers ..And they should only take people who can not dance..When u r in a competition ...This lame excuses don't work

Fair enough she's trained dancer but how many people really knew isha before jdj?? It's not overhype it's their hard work and amazing choreography.. No one is even close to create such an impact every week salman never fails to impress us.. And talking about trained dancer jayanti is trained classical dancer and gurmeet is qualified in martial arts.. I think judges have always encouraged all non dancers remember when they all got 27 first week..
