Sanat's elimination was coming. May be chose to be out as the cricket match starts soon.
Why are they mixing sun and moon signs?? 😕 Each have their own characteristics...They should have just gone by one IMHO.
Gia-Nishant
I thought she did pretty good job with dancing, expressions and footwork..I am not a kathak dance expert but she did well..Again she is not a dancer let alone Kathak dancer at all...Nishant was superb. She looked stunning in this...
7, 8, 7 thought deserved 8s from all for her good attempt and doing well on it..
Darsheel-Avneet Afro Jazz?
It was alright for me...Lots of running around...Darsheel was losing his energy at times..For me it was not as good as last two wks..IMHO
I love Darsheel and Avneet's personalities...They are the cutest and adorable pair...Muaaah
9, 10, 10 thought scores were much higher than they deserve...8s from all should have been sufficient..
Isha-Salman
Beautiful concept and choreography...Superb expressions as puppets...Control, balance, co-ordination and strength...Fab dancing...Amazing...Loved every lil second of it...Isha was defo better than Salman...Could not keep my eyes off her..Good job Salman dear..👏 Now this is Perfect, This is it, Mindblowing..
10, 10, 10 Well deserved...Agree
Archana-Sanam
Where the heck was ballet form and foot work...Its mostly Sanam doing his solos...Archana's posture is very bad...Upper half slouches..Remo pointed out abt her body part which needed to have proper forms..
7, 7, 6 Karan was much closer to the marks they deserved...5 & 6s..
Bharti-Savio
This was another OK performance...Bharti was not herself...She will have to learn to be more graceful and energetic ..Not much really dance..Bharti you can do much better dear..Madhuri, Remo and Karan all were right...Yes Bharti was not in her usual form..
7, 7, 7 I would say 6s would have been sufficient
Looking at all the performaces I felt Gia got short changed...She deserved atleast 8s...
Lets see how tmrw plans out..

Gurmeet was good and haila for the first time he literally ate Shampa (dancewise, not in real 😆) in the performance! 👏 The last few bits where they were showing a Lion/Tiger hunting and the way he was handling her - I was like, abe Shampa ka koi na koi muscle sprain ya bone break ho jaayega! 🤣

Jayati was good too!

Sushil - his best performance so far, first time he did some dancing and some tough steps (those rolling steps on the floor)!

@ Karan Johar's marks blunder!!!
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 Heart attack aa gaya tha mujhe uske marks dekh kar! 🤣 10 for sushil? 🤪 🤣 Loved the way Remo reacted, burst out laughing - yes sabpe sushil ka effect dikh raha hai! 😆

Off to see remaining performances! 😆

Shibani's perfomance - Hats off! 👏 👏 👏 - the best one in the whole episode! 👏

Ravi Kishan was superb yaar! Shd have got more than 27! 😆

Pratyusha - Remo was right! The concept was 10/10! Brilliant concept and the music selection was awesome! Agree with Karan as well - energy needs to come from inside! Hope she does well next week, not bad this time, but she can do much better!

As usual Sundays are better days than saturdays.

Don't know how authentic the Puli Kali was..I'm a malayali and I've never witnessed a puli kali like that in kerala...boy! have I missed something or what! The ones I've seen are quite unexciting and as far as I know, it isn't a dance form per se...

Edit:

Strictly speaking, Puli Kali means Tiger Play where the characters are painted like tigers ..yellow and black stripes. They wear a kind of langoti and also wear a tail...I think some dialogue is also involved. It's a kind of street play more than a dance.

Anyway, who cares! Gurmeet's performance as a lion was great...for the first time I never even looked at Shampa..my eyes were glued to GC...I also liked his humility and body language AFTER the dance was over..the way he stood before the judges and heard out what they had to say.

This guy is a hard worker all right and is lucky as hell. He'll go far in life.
Missed the bit with his wife though.

Never knew Jayati was a trained dancer...hers was a lovely performance and I like her partner a lot.
Shibani and Punnet were stunning and deserved the perfect marks. Though I wish they hadn't told us about her cousin before the performance. I don't know how much of the emotions we felt was based on that.

Susheel looks like he wants to dance after all but I did'nt see the marks he got.

Ravi showed an unexpected side to him.

Prathuysha was a little disappointing though the choreography was great.

Nothing much to say about the judges..made some right moves as well as wrong ones.

i agree with poster above, it did not look like pulikeli, the costume or dance moves. But i think shampa made some adjustments and she used gurmeet's stunt action ability a lot. although 30 marks hmm😕

oh whats up with shampa and her get up and costumes, they were not this bad last season honestly.

OMG; i am so gload jayati ji was not eliminated. she is the first one who actually attempted classical dance form on such a stage where people only do ballroom and contemporary(?). And it was so good. now only if isha does kathak, it will be awesome. anyways back to topic, jayati modified the dance so well with lyrics that inspite of diwakar being so good and flexible i was only looking at her.
alsiha actually did the choreography from the movie if i remember corretly. sushil kumar has improved a bit, looked good. IMO he could have got 23-24. and karan's blooper was🤣, it was fantastic, i wish he didn't correct it.😆

punit is a trained contemporary dancer, but shibani matched him today toe to toe.maybe because of the emotion and punit was not making any of those faces he usually makes. the act was truly wonderful and shibani has improved by leaps and bounds. no wonder isha considers as competiton. if she gets enough votes she might go quite far.

ravi kissen: dance average, well its not easy for a man to dance as awoman, opp is easy somehow . but i will give him 60 out of 30 only coz his expressions. gia and praytusha and archana and even shibani should learn from him , expressions kiya hota hain.

deepak choreographed well but pratyusha was so soft. The song needed eneryg fierce expression and pratyusha was dancing like a doll. She needs to shed the anandi effect and dance properly, and bring some energy. with such energetic music beats, a person needs to bring in power
whats with the choreographers and them dancing classical semi classical today😆, not that I am complaining, deepak is trained in yakshagana and some other classical form if i remember, and it shows in his posture.

The theme of rashis lent some added interest to this week. The performances may be evaluated at three levels- the interpretation of the sign, the thematic format used, and the execution of the dance itself. Overall, the performances were much better. Some have been improving steadily, some stayed consistent - good or bad, and a couple declined.

Sanath-Pisces: The interpretation of the sign was at a literal level. Am I the only one who thinks his dance was not too bad this time? His movements were freer than we have ever seen and he seemed to be enjoying it too. The song choice may have worked in his favor a bit-being in Tamil. But, his elimination was expected and everyone made the right choice. It is time for us to see some real dancing.

Gia-Virgo: I wasn't at all clear about the interpretation of the sign. But some rashis are hard to interpret compared to others. Virgo is one of them. In terms of the thematic format, I didn't quite get the mujra even after the choreographer's explanation. Dance wise-I felt Gia was livelier than in her previous attempts. Indian attire suits her better than Western. I can't comment on her Kathak performance, but dance-wise it was OK. Combined at the three levels, her scores were valid.

Bharti-Capricorn: Again this is one of those signs that need more depth in interpretation. It is an earth sign, so that aspect could have been used in the format. The disco started fine, but there were too many misses and distraction when Bharti couldn't see due to those humongous green glasses, which she ended up tossing (or perhaps it was part of the act). It was sloppy and the judges rightly pointed out the flaws in that performance. She can do better.

Isha-Libra: This was the best in sign interpretation, thematic format, and execution. They interpreted the theme both literally and figuratively as well. Libra is an Air sign and they included some aerial dancing. The balance aspect was well brought out. The execution was bang on. Isha was fantastic - she had superb control over her movements. And ironically, her expressions as a puppet were bang on! As Remo said, she performed much better than Salman.

Darsheel-Aries: The thematic format showed understanding of the rashi - literally it is a ram, and this sign is a fire sign. In addition to the visual symbol, and the elemental aspect to it, there's another dimension called the modes. All the signs are classified into fixed, mutable or cardinal signs. Aries' cardinality indicates leadership and dominance. So, the thematically, it was brought out very well. In terms of execution, Darsheel upped his act considerably from his previous attempt and both avneet and darsheel were on par. Darsheel managed to retain his energy levels as well. Though I felt they spent a bit too much time on the throne (I get they are fighting for it).

Archana-Aquarius: There was no depth to the understanding of this rashi. As Madhuri pointed out though the visual symbol is a water girl, it is actually an air sign. Some research was needed. I agree with the judges' scores. The song choice was literal. In terms of execution, I have to say, their dirty feet distracted me. Why am I always left with the feeling that Sanam is the contestant and not Archana? Their time on the show is going to be short.

Gurmeet-Leo: His assigned raashi was easy, in the sense that it could be interpreted both literally and figuratively. All they needed to do was to not mess it up. The assigned dance style made the job even easier. Dance wise, GC's expressions were out of this world, his control on his movements was great, the dance style fit his abilities and he came off with flying colors. The make-up and costumes were fantastic too Gurmeet did well and deserved the points, but he was aided by factors mentioned above.

Jayati -Scorpio: Theme was fine. It was good concept. It was a familiar style for her so there was an home advantage. I'd have liked Jayati to play the part of the scorpion. Overall, not bad. The judges didn't dare to comment on the style.

Susheel-Taurus: The choreographer rightly picked on that point - the earthiness. He improved but of course there's much room for improvement even within his limitations. he stick prop didn't work well for him. With more practice, the performance could have been better. He'll remain for one more week may be.

Shibani- Cancer: The thematic format not only represented the sign, the dance performance touched your soul. Dance-wise, the moves were simple but executed well. As madhuri mentioned, the emotion completely overwhelmed the performance subduing any flaws in execution. The song-choice took the performance to another level.

Ravi Kissan- Gemini: The thematic format would have been good if Ravi danced as an ardhanari. Though Gemini sign shows twins, the twins actually represent opposites. If we were to think that Ravi the male brought his feminine side, then it might have worked. But I felt their interpretation was too literal thereby missing the opportunity. Unlike Carpricorn or Virgo, they had so much scope to bring the opposites notion across clearly. But dance-wise, it was a bold avatar his expressions were good, he did have the 'feminine' moves. The scores ought have been a point or two lower

Pratyusha-Sagittarius: Thematically it was so so. They simply took the figurative symbol of a dhanus and set it against a familiar story. It didn't have much of the traits of a Sagittarius, I felt. I thought they could have done something with a man and horse and pick specific traits of saggies such as their love for travel, thinking etc. Scores were as they should be. The dancing was better, but she still comes across as physically weak and delicate.

In sum, I'd rank as follows

1.Isha-Salman and Shibani-Punit at par

2. Gurmeet-Shampa

3. Darsheel-Avneet

4. Ravi Kissan

5. Jayati

6. Pratyusha

7. All the rest

Maybe it is just me, Madhuri's continued deification is getting a bit tiresome. I am not sure if I can see the drooling and groveling for long. It is embarrassing to watch.

It seemed only Remo seemed to keep the rashis in mind when judging. Karan and madhuri are more 'feel good' kind of judges, no specific parameters. Karan at least watches for the expressions. They have to bring more informed judges. Ragini is coming across more and more like a side-kick than an equal-part anchor.

Gurmeet - Shampa
Gurmeet looked really good for the character he played..He was in his character totally...But I saw less dance and more play - acting.. Much improvement...Gurmeet is good in aggressive performance...I would like to see him in more graceful dance..Gosh his wife is pretty gal...They make gorgeous couple 😃
I have no clue what is Puli Kali..I will look it up..
10, 10, 10 Hmmm Not sure on perfect score...May be 8s or 8.5s
Jayati - Diwakar Odissi dance..
Jayati looked beautiful...Loved her expressions..Nice performance...Not very complicated or difficulty level but seeing someone doing true dance form classical one deserves kudos...Yes this was Jayati's best performance upto date...
10, 9, 9 I agree with the score as this was a true classical dance form.
Susheel - Alisha
Dang susheel is picking up some beats & in somewhat co-ordination with Alisha...Man he is improved LOL...He is getting into his performance and enjoying it...Long way to go before becoming a good dancer but he puts his 100% efforts..
7, 7, 7 Karan what is wrong with you???? 10 😲
Shivani - Puneet
Why bring this emotional dramas? Just dance and let it speak abt the drama and emotions instead of personal stories...I even find Judges wiping eyes all fake...Sorry for being so honest..
Good dance that is all I will say. Puneet's expertise is Contemporary...
10, 10, 10 & a kiss 🤓 I cant put them par with Isha-Salman...SOwee 😳
Ravi Kissanwa - Kunjan
Lord have mercy!!!!!!!!!!! I could not move my eyes off Ravi...No grace but fab expressions...I never thought I will say I enjoyed it...His knee turns were so laughable...Fultoo entertainment value...
RIght on brother abt "Ardhanarishvar" Kya baat 👍🏼
9, 9, 9 now how do u compare this to GIA's marks of 7, 8, 7??
Pratyusha - Deepak
Loved the concept...Told us the story..Opening was very strong by both...Pratyusha needs to believe she can be strong...If she believes it than it will come thru in her dance...She is convinced she is not..She is timid and jazuk..She did her level best in portraying her strength..
8, 8, 8
I personally dont think any one came close to Isha-Salmanwhen came to dancing, expressions, concept ETC...But yet again emotional attyachar wins..Dont get me wrong Shivani-Puneet were really good but they got the nomination just for the emotional story part...I would have been equally affected had Puneet-Shivani not shared her story...I dont care for the personal dramas..😳

I missed out on Saturday's episode, so cant comment on the performances for the day... Looks like I missed good performances from Isha-Salman and Darsheel-Avneet... I am not sure if I am the odd one out, but I have to confess something here... Isha can be a brilliant technical dancer, but somewhere I have not yet been able to connect completely with her performances... It is not dil chhoone wala somehow.. May be it is something to do with her expressions... Darsheel is the chhota packet and her partner Avneet is probably the most talented and flexible dancer on the show, and I will always look forward to what they come up with...
Sunday's performances - I really liked the performances of Shibani-Puneet and Jayati- Diwakar...
I would specially talk about Jayati's performance - she was a charm to watch - Yes, it was her forte - but she had such fine expressions, looked so beautiful in her costumes, and was so graceful! And Diwakar is such a good coreo, he always knows how to enhance the performance! A few more complicated steps would have been an icing on the cake... It was amazing to see Diwakar being so easy with the traditional dance form as well!
Shibani and Puneet danced like a dream... I would have enjoyed without the drama and the emotions, but they were brilliant.. I have seen max improvement in Shibani over the last 3 days and that is a huge plus.. And her costume was very apt as well...
Ravi Kissan's performance was a surprise... He was very good on rhythm and I would applaud him for actually attempting something so out of his comfort zone... Yes, feminine dancing needs more grace than there was, but thinking that it came from Ravi Kissan - a lot of credit to his coreo that she did not take the easy path of getting in some vulgar steps and expressions...
Gurmeet - Shampa's piece was more of act than dance... I frankly did not see much dance in there, and whatever was there had a lot of coordination issues... GC' s costumes and expressions helped him to get the high scores, but he still needs to improve a lot where dance is concerned and definitely still miles to go from getting a deserving 30... And Shampa's costumes and hairdo! Gosh - not sure what's so wrong with this girl in each episode...
Pratyusha and Deepak - what is it with the judges when they get to mark her... I think she really did well today and needed to get much more than what she did... I think her persona as the soft delicate girl is going against her here and comes across as lacking in energy.. but some performances (like the one last week) need to keep it soft and the judges dont seem to appreciate that...
Sushil improved than before - but he still is the weakest of the lot along with Archana Sanam... So no specific comments here...
I am dissapointed with the themes coming up... What is this Entertainment with a twist... Can we please stay away from Bollywood as much as possible and see more and more dance here please?

I loved this week's episodes, i mean the theme given was awesome. And it was amazing because 3 contestants got perfect scores which was well deserved atleast for shibani and Gurmeet. Those 2 are practicing very hard for their dances so well deserved. As always i loved darsheel performance he is always amazing, and his performance was very good. I also loved Ravi, and Jayatiji's performance Jayatiji gave good answers to the audience who put her in danger jone. Overall best episode so far in JDJ this season.

Does anyone else find Gia's smile and voice extremely annoying?! It's almost painful to watch/hear at times! And why is Nishant consistently mediocre as a choreographer as the seasons go by?

Shivani and Punit were a surprise package this week! I hope they keep growing from now on.

Pratyusha needs to build some self-confidence. She is seriously wasting Deepak's talent.

Archana and Sanam need to leave. They need to take Sushil with them when they do. Enough of this torture!

So happy that Jayati got a "This is it" - her reaction was so sincere.

Salman and Isha never seem to disappoint. Gurmeet needs to work more on dancing. I think Shampa will help him get there, but I think the hype is really a turn off at this point. Bharti, Ravi Kissen are entertaining. I hope they stay around and improve their performances!

Manish Paul makes the show so much more interesting- I love his one-liners!

I will not give marks as it is judges job. My job is to enjoy the performances. I will rate based on my enjoyment meter considering various aspects.
Isha-Salman: Brilliant, enjoyed it throroughly. #1
Shibani-Puneet: Nice to watch, If we talk about emotion, I was expecting more rona-dhona and more emotion from her heart considering what happened. But I enjoyed her performance. #2
Ravi Kishan: I did not look at her dance, I was looking at her face and eyes. I have not seen such a beautiful man. His eyes were comaparable to Aishwariya. Ragini was banged on about his eyes. #3.
If I need to put at #4, it was Gia, She was very good.
Rests were forgettable. GC and Darsheel were jumping, Arachna and Susheel were neither jumping nor dancing(good for nothing), Jayanti ji was good but stilll forgettable.
