Lifts are part of a particular western dance...Indian dance shows never follow a true dance form or techniques when it comes to ballroom or latin dances..
They create hotch potch or should I say mish mash by throwing lifts and rolling on the floor here and there in the name of some sort of western dancing..
Why not try something truly classical be it eastern or western..
JDJ's level is no where close in comparing to "DWTS" as part of the show name or SYTYCD...Not bashing the show but posting mere facts..

I thought that this week the judges were by far the most unfair to Pratyusha.

Pratyusha's dance was definitely one of the best this week. In my opinion, it was the second best after Isha/Salman. I mean I totally get it if you guys don't agree it was the second best but at least we can acknowledge that it was one of the better performances. It had the most dance, performed really well, and on top of that thing with not a lot of room to dance. And I didn't even notice where she made a mistake!

However, what score did she get? The lowest. She got the same score as the rest of the lowest performances. Now tell me how is that fair? How the hek did she get the same score as Gurmeet and Talat? Her performance was much much better than theirs.

Forget about lowest, Sanath, Sushil, Archana, and Ravi scored better than her!!! Are you kidding me? Their dance was better than Pratyusha's?I am not saying she deserves a 30 or a 27. No. But she most definitely did not deserve the lowest score.

I know judges are being unfair quite often this season. And I totally get that Salman/Isha may have not deserved that 30. I agree with that. But at least it was acknowledged that their performance was the best because their performance was the best even if they did not deserve a 30.

I thought Pratyusha's score was the most unfair this week.

In my opinion, the weakest links are GC, Talat, Ravi, the cricket player, the pretty girl who did the Hum Tum Ek Kamre Mein Band Ho act and that guy who did the Lagaan theme. I'm not sure any of them will be able to improve to an extent that they'll be able to compete -- independent of popularity votes. It's interesting to see how biased the judges are... For instance when it's the cricket player, they cannot bring themselves to openly critique him and be honest. Instead they praise him left and right and give him grades that -- compared to some of the other dancers who actually managed the technique of their respective artform -- weren't all that fair. That's favoritism. And it's not fair to the competent dancers on the show who actually stand a chance in winning the contest without popularity votes.

Pratyusha is one of the dancers who could win the competition if she put more work into her technique and footwork, and most importantly used more controlled strength in her movements. She's too slack with her upperbody, her arms, and her hands are never a part of whatever dance movement she's performing. They're justing hanging off her wrist loosely. If she'd work more on putting force behind every movement, make them more powerful, and use her body language more to express the sentiment of the song/steps, I do believe that she could improve faster than most on the show.
She's in sync with her partner, mostly matching his pace. Her lines are mostly clean too.

pratyusha is improving though the ending of the steps are still clumsy

Bharti was pure entertainment so i guess the dance did take a step back.

Sanath J - v awkward and the marks and the comments were horrifying to say the least

Darsheel and partner - they were for sure fab. Dance and entertainment value as well.

Gia - Clumsy.

Precisely - Lifts are just a part of some forms of western dance.. and they throw it here and there in everything!
I also liked the format they used in JDJ1 I guess where the theme of the day would a particular dance form and everyone would be judged on that... Today, all performances have a complete mix up of multiple forms and end up being nothing...
I will indeed enjoy episodes of pure Indian classical for one day... and pure Indian folk on the other... both of these in itself can provide mindblowing variety!

For me Sanath gave the weakest performance. He didnt even completed a single step without flaws. A pity the choreographer, in their practice video, she seemed to b helping him in mugging the dialogues bt on stage, he didnt lip sync at all. Ofcourse I respect him as a cricketer n so do the judges bt since its a dance show, marking should b based on DANCE only.

Pratyusha should have been second highest scorer of week.. Ok not that she deserved to score better than sanath, sushil, archana... Wanted to spit on judges on that very point

One was Jayati and Diwakar...
