aishah,I used to love the old Jassi and was proud of her..
WHEN she challenged Armaan and became the CEO of GM.. She created a line of clothes for working class woman... she showed Armaan than she can run a company better than him...She actually showed what an intelligent person she was....
I loved that Jassi when she adored her boss, loved her boss but still exposed him in the board meeting and punished him for treating her badly...She showed what a strong person she was and cant be treated as a doormat anymore...👏👏
I loved that Jassi who played the game back on Armaan and later on forgave him...That should what a big heart she had... I love that Jassi who later accepted Armaan with all his flaws and decided to give him another chance...she was in my good books inspite of being ugly...👏
But after the makeover she has become a selfish woman who only thinks about herself.. She has a big fat ego and always takesoff when somebody questions her...She proves to be a coward now who is a hypocrite who can change identites so easily.. and only remembers babaji and her old parents when she needs them....
Jassi's character is completely butchered.... The minute she took off on the day of the wedding and let her parents suffer the humiliation she lost all her respect and love from the viewers...
IF she didnt want to marry Armaan...and was mad at him.. she should have held Armaan by the throat asked him questions for suspecting her... slapped him back and broke of the wedding in front of everybody... took her parents along with her and then left off to Nainital to cool off or become a teacher or whatever...Thats what a modern woman with self respect will do....
But now she has become a person who constantly runs away from her problems and lets her parents suffer... who only gives lambe lambe bhashans on middle class values...and always blames others for her mistakes... I have no sympathy for that woman PERIOD...😡Too bad Armaan still loves her...
..Well JD its a shame that jassi is in the hands of tnd otherwise im sure she wud have done as u say-afsos yaar-i respect jassis decision to be able to walk away frm armaan-a decision that wud have been extremely painful to make-i cnt really justify her running away but then what wud have happened if she had stayed?-her parents wud have probably had to suffer the same humiliation that they did-if jassi had stayed she wud have declined marriage to armaan-cjs letter wud have come into the picture at some point, the guy is a psycho, he probbaly wud have told armaan that all what he saw was the truth-then where wud that have left jassi-unfortunatley us asians still find fault with the girl and jassi wud have suffered the same fate that so many badkismat ppl do in the subcontinent..
..as for her parents-jassi always found herself to be the root cause of much of the anguish and humiliation that her family had to face-this wud kill any person whose family holds such an important position in their life-even i myself wud do nething to put an end to the suffering my family has to face if i was the cause-even if it meant running away-i cnt really answer if what jassi did was the right thing as i myself am of the fortunate few who dnt find themselves in such horrible dilemmas..
..also i never really considered jassi to be a role model-she was always just a normal person for me who had dreams and ambitions just like myself-her status in my eyes was never of a role model as she just tried to accomplish what all of us try to do-she didnt achieve great things like gandhiji or nelson mandela-i guess this is where we find it hard to accept jassi post makeover-she erred and made some terrible decisions-but behind those decisions there lie not selfish intent but genuine concern for her loved ones..
..in short somewhere in this very alone lost woman lies the jassi we all loved so much and in my case still do-life changes us and circumstances change..lol sorry for my lng reply but i hope now u cn understand y i still love this nut job and her even sillier lover!😛
