Ok since the Purab v/s Arman debate is more or less over , lets go to the next character , Raj Malhotra

do u think he was a good friend . We all know he was the one who gave those evil ideas to Arman to fake his love , to suspect Jassi . Ok we do give him credit coz arman realised his love only after he played the fake love game but do u think as a friend , he was good ?

I for one dont think he was a good friend , yes , he always gave idea with the intention of helping his friend but knwing how his friend was , impulsive and reactive , should he have given those ideas and manipulated his thoughts .

yes , they were childhood friends and u tend to blindly trust them and thier thoughts esp people like Arman who always needed his help but as a person , he wasnt that good either .

The only difference I see between Aryan and Raj in realtion to their nature of manipulation and thoughts , is that Raj used to do the same things with humour whereas Aryan was this serious guy who was determined to get GM .

so what do u think as a viewer , was he a good friend or a friend who was somewhat irresponsible

A very astute observation: "The only difference I see between Aryan and Raj in realtion to their nature of manipulation and thoughts , is that Raj used to do the same things with humour whereas Aryan was this serious guy who was determined to get GM ."

👏
I agree, Raj was the friend for whom one says, "With friends like these, who needs enemies?" A true friend is one who not only supports a friend during his bad times, but also brings out the latent good in him. Raj failed on both counts. When Armaan went through that terrible phase when Jassi refused to believe his love and left for Mauritius, Raj did not try to understand his friend's feelings for Jassi. Neither did he bring out the latent good in Armaan. It was Jassi who did that.

But i still somehow don't hate Raj. Maybe, it was his sense of humour that redemeed him; maybe the fact that, all said and done, he did care for his friend although his concern was somehow misdirected. A lot of cerdit goes to Parmeet for making the character so alive. 👏

yepp.. raj and armaan are like match made in friendship heaven- impulsive, at times irresponsible, adamant, flirty, yet incredibly lovable.

They were lovable ofocurse but at the same time he influenced arman knowing that arman was impulsive and listened to him more than use his brains . When arman confessed that he loved Jassi , he still asked him to go with Mallika for the company instead of supporting him in his love . so as a viewer , was he a god friend and showing him the right way .

😆😆 he did not like Jassi.
If she never entered Armaan's life, don;t you agree Mallika and Armaan wold have run GM happily forever?? Raj had that in mind.
Friends have biassed opinions about close friend's love interests. They care for us and still warn us / do not support us on our choice of love-interest (personal experience). That doesn't mean friend doesn't wish us well / support us. It is just their POV.. It also makes us think deeply about choices we make.

Raj was a very good friend!!!!!
he cared a lot for Armaan, and always wanted him to be happy, both of them were so close, Raj was misunderstood that Jassi and Nandu had wrong intentions, that's why he brainwashed Armaan, but he didn't do that he didn't like Jassi, or somnething he was just being protective of Gulmohur and Armaan.
Face it Raj and Armaan did everything together, flirting, having fun, they use to be very humourous and use to be two peas in a pod, they were awesome!!!!!!!

Though Raj had many Faults...He is much better Than Aryan.

Raj did everything for his friend...He never wanted the chairmanship for himself ( Aryan was selfish..Though he did care for mallika at times his concern was mainly beacuse Of Armaan.).Raj and Armaan were Like one.
The thing was Unlike Armaan raj was not an emotional Fool.Hence he couldnt understand Why armaan had fallen for jassi.Raj was practical Armaan impulsive.

Cant hate Raj too much.If it wasnt for his Faltu ideas...The only thing he didnt calculate was that Somewhere Armaan had soft feelings for jassi and he would end up Falling for him.
And Raj was the first one to guess Armaan had gone mad even at a time when Armaan was trying to convince himself that he doesnt love her.
