Blyton, my love story is very unique and private which cannot be written in a diary, but I did learn a lot from my LOVE LIFE. I am really sorry, I cannot help you by explaining my life experiences because, my life was not a straight line. It is not simple to explain and understand.
But I must say that LOVE is so beautiful. It teaches you how to live a life. Without LOVE, you can pass your time but you cannot LIVE A LIFE. I live my life with whatever LOVE OF MY LIFE has taught me.
Good luck and cheers,
Neelam

OMG, same here. Though,I am single now, but if I write about my life,I am sure Ekta Kapoor can make a serial from it😆 & my love life...it was like a Mills & Boon novel! I am now, what love has taught me, even though, I lost the love of my life, I would not want to change my life from what it is today. Even today, after so many years...that feeling is so strong....that soft light is still burning inside. Today I appriciate the whisper of air. the humming of birds, the nature itself...I give that to love. Love taught me write poems. & yes, I learnt Indian Classical music because of him-I met him in the music class-& he used to come because of me. He said-I inspired him.

In those days, I read Rabindranath Tagor's Geetanjali. I was so touched by those poems, it was as if I was living in some another world! I was with Tagor for months after completing the book! I felt the love, the pain that love gave....Yes,love does hurt you & hurt you like you'll never get up again,as if you are totally broken. But....I think,it is better to have loved & lost than never to have loved at all!

That is why JJKN was & still is so close to my heart!

Love and Friendship has no age bar. It can happen any time, anywhere at any age.😆

Seriously, veekay, Love makes us experience hell and heaven both in one life. But the experience of true love teaches you to accept life as it comes. I believe life is very short and we should enjoy every phase of life as it comes to us rather than crying all our life for things we don't have.

I know how hard it is to live lufe as a single for all our life but there are always ways to live the life to its fullest.

Lots of love,

Neelam

I don't know what to say, guys. What started out as an academic interest has become a revelation of sorts. The beautiful experiences and feelings that you have shared here.....all i can say is "Thank you!" 😳 😳 😳

Sorry for being late in replying Blyti, but my daughter was ill. Well, one of the first books that had a profound influence on me I think was Ayn Rand's, The Fountainhead. Howard Roarke, the protaganist of that book was my first crush I think. His fire and passion for his work was fascinating as was his attitude towards society. I think it was the same devil-may-care attitude of his that first drew me to my hubby.

The other book was Irving Stone's book on Michaelangelo called The Agony and the Ecstasy. Wow - the way that guy stayed on the scaffolding for days on end when painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, with little food and even less sleep - it was as though he was challenging God Himself. I was simply floored by these two guys. You have to remember that when I read these books I was in school/ college. So I was at a very impressionable age 😆

Hope that helps 😊
