Sameer’s back with a bang

Actor Sameer Soni is back after a sabbatical. Last seen in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, the buzz is that he has been signed up for Mansi Joshi Roy's maiden television show. When contacted, Sameer confirms the news. "Rohit and Mansi are my friends and I can do anything for them. I love to act. I am always game for a good role; the size of the screen doesn't matter to me. The show is in its pre-production stage," he says.

Apparently Mansi Joshi Roy is in talks with two leading television channels. Says Rohit Roy, when contacted, "Mansi has been talking to Sameer about the role in her show for some time now. He is a dear friend and has readily agreed to do the show. Be it a film assignment or a serial, Sameer has always given utmost importance to his roles. But this time, Sameer gave his consent without even enquiring about his role. But as a producer, I would want him to listen to the script and his role before we start the shooting."

At present Sameer is occupied with Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming film Vivaah. "That's one film you have to watch out for," assures Sameer. "And surprisingly, it's for the first time when a Sooraj Barjatya film doesn't have a wedding sequence. I think it is Sooraj's best work till date," adds Sameer.
