Armaan readies for Gulmohur the next morning in silence. Jassi is moving around, straightening things. He keeps looking hopefully at her but she resolutely looks the other way. Armaan turns on the charm full blast, hanging around her, flashing his dimples, trying to touch her,😉 but she struggles away every time, fighting a rising wave of laughter. Finally he pouts and walks out. Jassi peers wickedly behind, as if expecting him to come back and try his luck one more time; but he is already at the breakfast table. She comes and silently sees to his meal.
As Armaan is stepping out of the house, there is a light tap on his shoulder. He turns around to confront Jassi's twinkling eyes.
Armaan: (trying his best to act indifferent) Kya hai?
Jassi just stands there.
Armu: (impatiently) Tum kuch kehna chahti ho..?
She slowly shakes her head from side to side. Apparently she is still sticking to her maun vrat.😉 Annoyed, he starts to move out, but she steps in front of him and takes his hand. Holding it in both her own, she squeezes it, all the while looking up imploringly at him. The mute message is clear—"All the best!"
He smiles suddenly and tries to kiss her, but she squeals, "Armaan!" and rushes inside, giggling. He looks back at his flustered, blushing wife and comments, "Hmmm…lagta hai, kissi ka maun vrat aakhir toot hi gaya!"😳😳😳
In GM, there is simmering tension. Neha seems to be shaking in her high heels. She gazes at Raj with wide eyes as he walks up.
Neha: (voice barely a whisper) Sab theek toh hoga na, Raj?
He takes her hand and gently presses it. Although he releases it immediately, it has not been without effect: both stare at each other a second longer than necessary😉, before recollecting themselves and rushing off.
Angel barges into Meghna's room, to find her ready in a poncho-style top, a sarong with aboriginal motifs, and…..a turban!😕 Surprisingly, she carries it off very well.😊
Angel: Wow! Megs, shuru se hi tum hum sab mein sabse zyada creative thi! Maddy will simply love this dress!
Meg: (smiling wanly) I hope so! Maddy se mile bahut time ho gaya….mujhe bhi mann kar raha hai phir se Gulmohur ko dekhne ka..
Angel: Sure….but you know what, Megs….ab GM mein bhi bahut changes aa gaye hain…..pehle jaisa kuch bhi nahin hai….
Meg: (nodding sadly) Sirf GM hi kyun….ab pehle jaisa, kahin bhi kuch nahin raha…!😭
Angel: Aur ye sab, Jassi ki wajah se……!😡
Meg looks at her, but doesn't say anything. Ila calls them and they all prepare to move out. Jassi, radiant in a yellow salwar (the saris apparently sit uncomfortably now on her growing tummy!😛), enters with Vedika. Meghna motions to Vedika to come to her. Vedika looks at Jassi, who thinks for a moment and then lets her go. Apart from this, Jassi and Meghna barely acknowledge each other.
They enter the rapidly-filling hall. The Walia clan is there is full force. Jassi goes up and hugs them all. She spies Armaan halfway across the room, welcoming guests. Their eyes light up on seeing each other.😳
They sit down as the lights dim and the fashion show begins.
