Sameer Soni to do Vivah

Sameer Soni, who came into prominence with his role as Purab in Sony's Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin will now be seen in a character role in Rajshri Productions' next film, Vivah. Sameer plays Shahid Kapoor's elder brother in the movie.

"I am definitely very excited about Vivah as it is under Rajshri banner. I play Shahid''s elder brother. Coming to Soorajji, oh! It was great. He is such a relaxed person. It is something I can never forget. And my other co-stars, it was amazing," says the actor.

Sources say that there were other choices in place of Sameer.
"When Sooraj was sketching out the character he strongly thought of Sameer. And once when Sameer liked the role and there were no date problems, Sooraj was very happy and he was finalised for the role," says our source who is working on the project.

"Sameer's character is very nice, very lovable. He is happily married and also has a kid," he adds.

Vivah is a musical love story, with a line up of stars. The father of the two brothers that is Sameer and Shahid is being played by Anupam Kher. And other television stars in the film are Alok Nath, Mohan Joshi, Amrita Prakash, Seema Biswas and Dinesh Lamba.
