Part 26

Khurana Mansion

"Sid!! Get up now, go take a bath!" yelled Simran as Siddharth had slept on the sofa again.

"Mom, please 5 more minutes!" he replied inaudibly.

"Raj ji, please make your son get up! People will be arriving in the house anytime now!! Aur yeh kumbhkaran ki tarah sofa mein soya para hai." she said as she walked towards the kitchen.

Raj folds the newspaper and says, "Sid, puttar!! Your mother is getting very angry now! Utho!"

"Pappaji I slept late, I am-"

"Who told you to come home so late? Buss mauka chaiye Roshni ke saath time spend karne ka tereko!" teased his father.

"What to do, pappaji aaplog mauka hi nahi dete ho aajkal.." he replied sleepily and sits while yawning.

"Only 1 day is left now! And terese itna bhi intezaar nahi hota hai? Kuch toh sharam kar!" said Raj. (Have some shame atleast can't you wait for a day)

"Ohh please! You never leave a chance to flirt with mom and you are asking me to stop romancing my wife!" he retorted.

Simran comes to the living room and sees Siddharth still sitting in his pyjamas.

"Sidd!!"

Siddharth gets up making faces and hugs his mother from back.

"Kya Mom !! We have such a big house, and you want to bring your guests here where I am sleeping!" he kisses her cheeks. She takes his ears which finally breaks his sleepiness and says,

"We have so much of work to do and you don't irritate me now! Roshni will be arriving any moment now! And you are standing wearing this-" she points out to his clothes. He was wearing a vest and half-pant.

"Roshni?? Roshni is coming home?" his eyes lighten up.

Simran and Raj laugh looking at the sudden change in his expression.

He starts walking towards his room when he says,

"Waise mom, you know Roshni has seen me in much more less clothes too, so aapko..." he winks and leaves.

"Kitna besharam hogaya hai yeh Sid!" said Simran aloud shaking her head.

Raj comes near her and whispers,

"Apne dad pe jo gaya hai!" he kisses her cheeks and leaves. (Because he is like his dad)

Just then Roshni enters and comes near Simran and hugs her.

"Maa!!" she said.

"Arre Roshni, you came so early? The saree wala still hasn't come! Come sit!" said Simran and makes her sit on the sofa.

"Roshni puttar!! Wow, you got up so early? I thought after last night's endeavours you would have gotten up late like Sid!" exclaimed Raj.

Roshni's cheeks redden up as she remembers her date with Siddharth. She looks all around to search for him. Simran and Raj look at each other and grin seeing her in that state.

"He is not here." said Simran.

The servant comes to serve the snacks and drinks. He drops the drink on her dress by mistake making her jump from her seat.

"Shit!! It's ok.. It's alright" she said to the servant as he started apologizing.

"Maa, where is the washroom??" she asked.

Simran points it out to her and she leaves in that direction. While looking around the house which was triple the size of her's she suddenly remembers that she had been to this house before.

She opens a door only to find a bedroom instead of washroom, but before she could leave she notices her photo in the frame kept at the bedside. Instantly she knew it was his room. Curiosity grew inside her and she entered the room.

It was empty, a perfect opportunity to check out her future room - she thought.

She walks towards the bed and touches the bedsheet, while looking around. It was a huge room and her attention was grabbed by the wall which was filled with pictures. Pictures of her, him and both their families. She admired it for a while and then she looked at his shirt crumbled and kept on the sofa.

"This boy! He will never learn.. he is so messy!!" she said aloud and starts folding his shirt.

Siddharth comes out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his torso. Roshni looks up to see him and before she could scream he strides towards her covering her mouth with his hands. Her eyes widen up as he says,

"Shhh.. what are you doing here?" He waits for her answer and then pesters,

"Bolo bhi!" She glares at him and then bites his hand making him shriek,

"Owww!! What was that for?" he asked incredulously shaking his hand in pain.

"Haath muh mein -" she looks at his face, then looks down and again back at his face. Her expressions changed and she breaks down into fits of laughter. Siddharth looks at her questiongly and says,

"Have you gone nuts? Subha kuch kha lia tha kya? Kiara is at home only, tumhare liye bhi appointment le lu kya?" he teased. Roshni breathes heavily controlling her laughter and then says,

"No thanks, but I think you should consult her!"

"Really?"

"Yea, something is terribly wrong with you, jab dekho towel girate rehte ho!" she said and started laughing uncontrollably.

Siddharth's eyes widen up and he looks down to see that he had dropped the towel. He immediately picks it up and wraps around his waist. He fakes a smile at Roshni and settles his hair.

"Oh! Bohot hussi aa rahi hai na?" he said and takes her by her waist and pins her against the bookshelf. (Oh, are you finding this funny?)

"Siddharth, what are you doing?" she whispered angrily looking at the door.

"Why? What's wrong?" he grinned.

"Siddharth!!" she yelled.

"Good. Shout a little more so that everyone can come here!" he winked at her.

"Leave me, my clothes are getting wet!" she snapped.

He looks at her ardently and smirks, leaning towards her ears he says,

"Baby, You look hot when you are wet!"

Roshni breathes in heavily as she gets thrilled hearing his husky voice and his close proximity to her. He places his arms around her waist and pulls her closer to him. They could feel each other's heavy beat of their heart. Roshni runs her hand along his bare wet back to his neck. She stands on her toes and leans to kiss his cheeks while he runs his hand gently through her hair.

"Waah, kya baat hai! You were so hesitant yesterday when I wanted to... and today.." he teased pulling her cheeks.

Roshni pouts and says,"Don't irritate me, Siddharth. And leave me now." she tries to free herself.

"Arre? Why? I am enjoying it... Pehle pata hota ki mujhe buss kapde utarne ki der thi tumhe mere paas bulane ke liye toh main kabka.." he winked at her. (If i knew that you would come to me if i were naked then i would have done this a long time back)

"Siddharth!! I have no interest-" she raises her hands to smack him but he seizes her wrist.

"Really? You have no interest in me?" he asked playfully.

"I did not mean that" she replied.

"Then?" he asked looking at her soft lips.

The electrifying tension between them rose and Roshni felt a pull towards him. She was yearning to feel his warm lips and so she leaned forward.

"Ahem..." coughed someone at the door.

Roshni leaves him instantly and they look at the door, Kritika and Kiara were standing there looking everywhere but at them. They both were giggling away, Roshni felt embarrassed and elbows Siddharth glowering at him.

"What did I do?" he whispered to her.

"Wow, Siddy looks like you almost have a six pack!" exclaimed Kiara.

"Really? Thanks!!" said Siddharth happily.

"But when did you-" he started when he realized that he was standing wearing only a towel.

"Shit!" he said inaudibly and immediately puts Roshni in front of him as a shield gripping her by her shoulders.

"Bhai, I think you're towel is coming out lose!" yelled Kritika pointing to him.

"Haan? Where?" he jumps holding his towel.

All the three women start laughing.

"Stand properly naa, Roshni!!" he said annoyed with everyone.

"You know Kiara, I was just telling him that he should talk to you about this." Roshni teased.

"Yeah, it's a huge problem. I think something is wrong with him, you know, psychologically I mean!" Kiara joined her.

"Sid, Kiara is really good! My session is over, shall we leave you two for yours?" said Kritika.

"Will you guys shut up!!" he yelled irritably.

"Let's make fun of the guy standing half naked! Now get out of my room!"

"Make us." winked Kritika.

"Uhh!! Roshni, help me!" he said helplessly.

"Why should I?" she retorted sarcastically.

"Baby, please" he pouted innocently, pleading with his eyes. Roshni smiled looked at his vulnerable state.

"I think it was enough for today, guys." she said to the other two.

"Oh, c'mon Roshni! We were just warming up!" said Kiara.

"This was warming up? What were you going to do next?" he asked incredulously.

"You want a glimpse of that? OK.." said Kritika and comes forward.

"No, no no!! Stupid question!! Jao na yaar!!" he pleaded and glared at Roshni for giggling.

"Leave me" she whispered to him.

"What?" he asked.

"Go stand behind the sofa! I'll tell them off."

He hides himself behind the sofa and Roshni goes to talk to them. They whisper and giggle but at the end Siddharth heard what he wanted to.

"Bye Sid!" the girls leave. He sighs with relief and gets up.

"Waah kya baat hai! What did you tell them that they left?" he asked Roshni.

"Nothing of your concern, but you owe me one!!" she replied.

"Kritika looked happy, right?" he asked.

"Yes! She looks better.. but is it real?" she asked him.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know.. last time she pretended to befriend you to break us apart so.." she said.

"Yeah, but.. now she knows the truth! She tried to kill herself, how can we doubt her?"

"I know.. but still be careful until you are sure." she replied.

"Offcourse, I will. Don't worry. I will have a talk with Kiara regarding her today." he said.

"Won't you come for the mehendi function at my house, later?" she questioned.

"I.. Mom said I am not supposed to.. " he started.

"When did you start following the rules?" she asked him unbelievingly.

"I have a meeting too and then with Kiara-"

"Fine." she retorted.

"You want me to come, breaking the rules.. so that we can.." he teased.

"Do as you wish Siddharth!! Now wear your clothes! I should go, maa must be wondering where I am!" she said and turned to leave.

He pins her against the door shutting it.

"What are you doing!!" she said.

"Returning the favour." he replied looking at her eyes.

"What favour?"

"Meri izzat bachane ke liye" he winked. (For saving my dignity)

"How?"

He looks at her lips and then her eyes, indicating that HOW! He leans forward and kisses her gently on her lips.
