wow! glad to see all the responses... thanks for your interest, everybody! just had to get that out there, because that particular dialogue bothers me in all the hindi movies it's ever been in, and I didn't expect to hear it in this show. well, lekhak apni kalpana ke anusaar thokte hi rehte hai, just hope that in the future it is to come up with cute scenes (like today's keshni rescue, which had to be from their imagination because keshni is from their imagination) and not stuff like this. as far as selflessness goes, I think it takes an infinite amount of that to be able to miss out on the best years of your child's life for his wellbeing, and to paitently wait in the dark for him without cursing God / fate etc., and that is one of the many reasons I love that character, but each to his own i guess.
