first of all, huge thanks raj for the very thorough updates. with regard to the actual content and what's going on with the show, its all fine and dandy and cute, except I just have to mention how much I can't stand this scene because of the ciliche that was used: "Shri Vishnu replies this is the most important chapter going to be discussed in future, as who is superior, the one who gaves the birth or the one who looks after and take care, like Yashoda."
I have personally always hated this dialogue, and don't feel it was right to show it come from God's own mouth. I feel it implies undue animosity towards Devaki Maa, as if she asked to be deprived of the enjoyment of being the "paalnewali". As a devotee of Shri Krishna, I find her character really inspiring in how she showcases the sacrifice and strength involved in true love/devotion. That this show's portrayal of her is inconsistent and doesn't always reflect those ideals is a different issue; the character itself, based on textual interpretation and spiritual intuition - NOT her portrayal in the arts - is what I admire, and because of this I really feel this dialogue was out of place in a show like this, which is usually more spiritually and philosophically sound than others.
Still love the show, though; please don't think I'm crazy 😳
Any thoughts?
You are welcome Raksha..i knw what im gng thru, but i hv full faith in Krishna and im just doing his work...in this way my mind is set and think abt him always...Thanks raj for wonderful update. Yiu are so dedicated in what ever you do always despite you being so traumatized by illness in your family.
God bless you and everything will be ok with your sis. our prayers are with you.
You are most welcome Ananya...
Well it is not mentioned anywhere in Shrimad Bhagwad Puran Shri Vishnu saying this to Narad..these dialogues are from JSK 's writer director's mind...just to give an sentimental touch...first of all, huge thanks raj for the very thorough updates. with regard to the actual content and what's going on with the show, its all fine and dandy and cute, except I just have to mention how much I can't stand this scene because of the ciliche that was used: "Shri Vishnu replies this is the most important chapter going to be discussed in future, as who is superior, the one who gaves the birth or the one who looks after and take care, like Yashoda."

Yes same here Ananya..it was writer and director's view not Shri Vishnu's...sometimes they are carried away..and we get such result...i believe one should not change the Vedas and Purans and try to show as it is...else you can see the result of KHMK....Originally posted by: ananyacool
Mother herself is so great whether she gives you birth or only fosters you . I've listened to that dialogue and have ignored it too...Its the dialogue writers' bias😳 what else can we say. Don't blame the God.Devaki was helpless , she reluctuntly sends her son out of jail and for his own good, so she should be blamed either.
Raj excellent explanation. I too agree the dialogues are written by writers and has nothing to do with any of the purans. Holy scriptures are there to teach good values and morales.Well it is not mentioned anywhere in Shrimad Bhagwad Puran Shri Vishnu saying this to Narad..these dialogues are from JSK 's writer director's mind...just to give an sentimental touch...
My view on this is...they both wanted son like Vishnu, both were blessed by Vishnu saying that no one in this universe like him..so he will come in Dwapar Yuga as Devki son's and where as Yashoda will enjoy her Bal leela...Mother who gives birth is always considered superior, as she has to go thru lots of pain..Devki lost Six sons...Devki came to knw abt Krishna when Yogmaya warned Kans...She was longing to meet her son..but being held in prison, they both were helpless...You views mentioned above are correct....they cudhv added the plight of both Yashoda and Devki...Yashoda dint knew the truth about Krishna..she always consider him as her own son..Nand also came to knw later .they came to know later, when Akroor came to invite Balram and Krishna to Mathura, there he revealed the truth about Krishna...Devki and Yashoda are both equal cos they fulfill their duty as mother perfectly...Yashoda later when Krishna left Gokul suffered the seperation, where as Devki the day Krishna was born...They both did suffered and enjoyed his leela's ...Yashoda's love dint change for Krishna even after knowing the truth. This has explained beautifuly in Shrimad Bhagwad Puran..
