Chapter 13
N - you remember Arun from college. He is throwing a promotion party tomorrow. We have been invited. Its at 7pm at Taj in bandra
R - is he still married to your first crush?
N - i guess so. How do you remember all these details? Anyway i am not going without you
R - so she wont flirt with you in front of her husband. The one she married as he had more ancestral wealth than you and apparently had a brighter future.
N - i never went out with Dina after that first date. I was in 12th grade. Its ok to have a crush right? Like you did on Rahul who will be there as well. Mr. Chashmish transformed into a television soap star.
R - oh yeah.
N - dont oh yeah me.Your only allowed to say hi to him. A namaste is fine. No shaking hands or anything.
R - i love you
N - just remember that when you see rahul
R - we reached. Thanks for dropping me. See you tomorrow at 6pm
N - not at work?
R - i have to go for an exhibition to see some hospital equipment and then will just do some work from home
N - see you. Goodnight!
At 5pm the next day.
N - ragini are you ready.
R - i will be at 5.30
N - plz try and be ready by 5.20. Will pick you. Need help picking what i should wear.
R - your not a kid
N - its a big party. I haven't been to one in ages
R - nachiket. I dont think i can go. I dont have anything that fancy to wear.
N - do you have a blouse that matches any of the three sarees i got you?
R - let me check...yes i might have.
N - pack all your options with make up and shoes. Get dressed at my place. That way you can help me as well. Please
R - ok. Lets do this
After sometime they reached the apartment.
N - you dress in my room. There is a big mirror there. I will just go shower in the other room.
Nachiket got out of the shower with just his tracks on as usual. He knocked on the door of his room
R - come in
He was mesmarized by the sight. Ragini was just done wearing her saree. She was putting some stuff in the wardrobe. He didnt want to make it awkward.
N - ok. Come here. What should i wear?
R - i already have it out for you. Look on the bed.
Nachiket looked at the bed. There was a pant with a blazer and a shirt and scraf combination he never would have thought of
N - you want me to wear this. I am not 25 you know
R - your not 55 either. Just try it. I will wait outside.
After some time she heard nachiket yell her name
R - whats the matter
N - this looks perfect! Your picking my clothes from now for all functions
R - glad you liked it. Lets go
N - you're ready? No make up or jewellery
R - oh i forgot. Move aside
She did her make up while nachiket admired her.
R - come here. Am i looking good?
N - one minute.
Nachiket opened the wardrobe and got one jewellery set. He signalled ragini he would do it. He first put the bangles. Then the earings. He was loosing himself in her beauty and ragini was loving his touch. He put on the necklace and looked at ragini standing with her eyes shut. He put his hand around her waist and began placing small kisses on her nape. Ragini began mourning his name and dug her nails in his hand. He turned her around and pushed her against the wardrobe.
N - open your eyes
Ragini looked up slowly
N - i want to cross all my limits with you and make you mine now. But we both know thats not right so i will wait for our wedding. You will just need to redo you lipstick as i am about to ruin it
Saying so he took her into a deep kiss. He was sucking her lips and even bit her lower lip real bad. Ragini also pulled him closer. Next he began nibbling her chin and neck. He gave her two love bites on her cleavage as ragini scratched the back of his neck. In no time they were on the bed making out with nachikets coat thrown in the side and raginis pallu lying on the ground. It was around 6.45pm when they came to their senses. Nachiket just pulled Ragini close and hugged her.
N - do you want to go for the party?
R - we must. Or i dont trust myself with you tonight
N - i will need a new shirt. You need to change the saree. Its too crumpled. Lets try and leave by 7.15 atleast.
They both got dressed and left. They reached by 7.45 as there wasn't much traffic.
When they walked in nachiket opened raginis hair. They looked perfect together. Everyone was staring. Ragini held onto his arm. They heard a familiar voice
Lady - hi handsome...
Before nachiket could reply.
R - hi dina. Nice to see you after all these years.
N - same here. Where is your husband?
D - no clue but Rahul is looking for Ragini. He kept asking if she is still single
N - tell him she is not. We are getting married soon. I will just go get a drink. You ladies catch up.
As nachiket left
Ra - hi ragini. Long time. I missed you. You look gorgeous.
R - thanks rahul
Ra - lets dance
Rahul pulled ragini to dance. She kept looking at nachiket at the bar. He was with his back to her. Rahul was getting too close
R - excuse me i need to go find my fiance nachiket
Rahul stood there stunned. Ragini walked upto nachiket
R - dont leave me alone like this so random people can dance with me.
She looked at the dancefloor where rahul stood. Nachikets blood boiled.
N - i am sorry. Come lets go. Take this. Its just orange juice.
They walked back to the dance floor. Ragini was scared what nachiket would do to Rahul.
