Ragini fell asleep instantly, given the tiredness of the day. The kids had kept her on toes all day, and Nachiket, who would always share and ease her work, wasnt by her side, so she got to barely rest.
For Nachiket however, his day wasnt physically tiring, it had been busy. He lay with eyes open. He was content to have Ragini in his arms, but for some reason couldnt fall asleep. He didnt know if it was due to the headache or missing Ragini the whole day or the work, that had occupied most of his day. He didn't want to wake Ragini up, so he stayed still, staring at the ceiling.. looking back at how his life had drastically changed in just 6 months. The unexpected, sudden marriage with his lost love had brought him back to life, rejuvenated his soul and rekindled his spirit. He felt happy, in fact very happy and satisfied at heart. It was the best unforeseen event that had ever happened to him. He smiled remembering those initial days of awkwardness after marriage, when they both thought they were successfully hiding the desperateness and love for each other, while both clearly knew what the other felt and wanted.. for they could read each other so well. Those, he thought were the most beautiful days.. Then of course, the awkwardness had eventually vanished, revealing two souls madly craving for each other..
He pulled her closer, kissing her on the forehead.. Ragini stirred to lay on her back murmuring "Nachiket so jao, bahot raat ho chuki hai", without opening her eyes..
He looked at her and bit his lip, suppressing his laughter, nevertheless the smile stayed on. Even the sleep didnt stop her, from thinking and caring about him. He felt like one lucky man to have a wife like her and to have married her twice..
"Ragini.." he shook her gently..
"mmm", she mumbled with eyes closed..
"Can we get married again?", he asked and waited for her answer.. The smile on his face never leaving..He was now resting his head on her shoulder and his hand rested on her waist.
"Kal hi toh kiya na Nachiket.." she grumbled and started to pat him on his back, trying to put him to sleep like a baby..
Mother's instinct!! 4 kids were indeed too many!!, he thought, and I should never let her alone with kids again!! Sabko bachche samjhne lagti hai", he smirked.
"Ragini, woh wali shaadi nahi, real wali, band baaje ke saath, stage pe".
"Cheee! Nachiket, aisa koi karta hai kya? tum pagal ho rahe ho.. so jao".
Nachiket giggled, "Ragini and the shaadi of her dreams!!", he thought
He looked up, trying to find, if she was smiling too.. But she was asleep, her hands still patting his back.
He planted a soft appreciative kiss on her lips, bringing out the smile he was looking for. Ragini looked heavenly when she smiled in her sleep. He felt proud of the reaction he got and relieved that her hands had stopped patting him..
PS: This is not what I wanted to write..
