Back with detailed comments.

This is one of the best Companion Fics here that I have read and I mean it. As of date. 👏 It's not easy delving into the minds of 2 separate individuals around the same situation. The common thread over here between the two however, is that they are in love - they are well aware of it but they are not sure of what to do with it. The feelings, I mean.

The way Ragini falls asleep on Nachiket's shoulder indicates that subconsciously she feels safe and secure when he is around. That's such a warm feeling.

And then there is that instant at the end when he enters a few steps before her, so that she doesn't witness the confusion and then the clarity of emotions and thoughts that runs through his head.

His dilemma is understandable, but he surely needs to work around it himself. He just has to answer one basic question - Would he want to leave Ragini all alone again?

You wrote the second part even before I could properly comment on the first one.. you are really becoming so so so SO good at this! Hugs to you for all the beautiful work you've come up with in the past month.. it's always a treat to read what you write <3

About this companion piece and the original, it was so well done.. as Rachana said, it's really difficult to do this but you managed.. and so beautifully.. it was the slow, luxurious pace that we all love to read in a romance.. the loving details and the calming pace.. WOW..

Ok, now that I can give this my full attention...

Many things I loved about this:

1. Your use of metaphors - Nachiket's need to be in control and have a finite destination (beautifully illustrated) vs his situation now - he's still in control (not of his heart though) but doesn't know where he should be going. Instead, here he is trying to enjoy the journey with his Ragini, come what may.

2. His emotions as she fell asleep and grabbed his arm. Doubly so his feeling of loss when she awoke.

3. What his wedding band signifies for him

4. His decision at the end - it's almost impossible to give these two a happy ending at this stage but I thought you handled it wonderfully, between his reasoning and that smile - just enough hope that maybe they will find their way back to each other.

Loved it ❤️

Especially enjoyed how it wasn't a rehash of the first part, which is a trap I've fallen into many times before..fantastic work Shikha 👏
