Her heart thudded against her chest as he leaned in ever so slightly to smell the flowers in her hair, the expanse of skin under his collar beckoning for her touch.

She made no move to pull her hand away from his but suddenly the doorknob jiggled under their grip and the door swung open to reveal Aagham on the other side.

"Mom! Dad! Are you ok? Naani thought maybe the door had jammed again."

"Haan beta, good thing you came," said Nachiket, placing a hand on his son's shoulder. "We just couldn't get it open, kyun Ragini?"

"Haan, theek karwana parega," she agreed.

"Let me guess, that's my responsibility," he feigned annoyance.

"Oh of course not, tum toh mehmaan ho. Aur mehmaan ko Bhagwan maante hai." Ragini ruffled Aagham's hair. "You look fantastic beta."

"Aur main?" Nachiket asked.
