I guess you're right. Where is the class when all your life you've lived off someone else.

Maybe atleast if she married RK, she would have learnt some farming. LOL

I find her rude and very condescending and belittling. But I of course am not from India and I am shocked when I read that she is funny. I find the Indian dress and culture very fascinating and am absolutely certain that her attitude towards individuals who she considers middle class would not be tolerated in Canada.
But her brother tolerates her attitude when she is constantly insulting his Ragini and he practices medicine in the U.S.

I am of Indian origin, educated in UK and U.S. And I have not come across any such behavior by Indians in the west. I don't know how common such behavior is in India.

You are not wrong. This doesn't happen in India either, at least in educated circles.

Pam shows her class overtime she behaves like that. And Nachiket baffles me !

The truth is for me Nachiketh is still a mystery man. When and how he will react is million dollar question. Take example of Wednesday episode, when he told Pam Dhoklaben idea, and Pam started abusing Ragini,,he was defending her that ,"isme Ragini ki galati nahin hai".
I always felt he don't want to support her infront of Ragini .Don't know if its his ego problem or something else.

Nachiket is just messed up. Ragini still evokes strong emotions within him, and he keeps on reacting, without a care in the world.

Pam is crass; she has NO class. As for her erstwhile brother, he is a wimp. He can browbeat his wife, but is mute where his obnoxious sister is concerned.

Why only in India, here in the US too I have seen the same kind of attitude among the elite " desis" who consider themselves a little higher...here. I have neighbors who hail from smaller towns in India like Nashik, But neighbors who are from cities like ( Delhi ) look thru them just because they are not fluent in " english" and not polished enough.
This attitude exist in US too...among the Indian diaspora. The American neighbors are clueless its the Indians who have this mentality.

And coming to PAM..she is offensive. And its a standard for EK to put down Middle class people in her serials. 😆 Nothing new there .
