What this OS shows is her side of emotions, which so long has been kept under wraps. This is what I would like to see - how and what she feels if and when she realises that this IS their final separation, nothing can be done after this.

It must be heartbreaking for them both to know that they still love each other and there is no misunderstanding keeping them apart this time, and yet as you said this may be it for them. What I would rather see is N/R work through actual issues: India vs US, raising their kids with different ideals, learning to live together when they have both been independent for so long. Not this bakwas :)
