About Jignesh's Dadi asking for Nishi's father do the rituals is because she was aware of the fact that her father's presence in the function. If he is present, why not do the rituals. Had he not been there, may be she would not have insisted on that issue.

And about Suhani, I think Ragini would have neglected her pregnancy and had complications during her delivery and Pam would have taken that as her chance to separate her brother with Ragini and would have told everyone that due to Ragini's negligence they lost the kid blah blah which would have led them to separation. Later she would have brought back the child and told Nachiket that Ragini was not a good mother and so they will protect child with them, so ragini is not even aware of Suhani's existence.
