First thing, we haven't interacted earlier, this is my first reply in one of your posts.

Around ten days into November of this year, I started binge watching IPKKND first series (honestly, the only series of the whole franchise that pulled me back) and till date I couldn't get over it. I thought watching other shows would bring me out of it, but seriously I could never find the same magic this series had in any other show no matter how many Hindi daily soaps I switch to. I couldn't even stand 5 minutes in to any other show (which I think is partly they don't have any magic or logic, and also over these years after IPKKND I find most of the other shows have become highly repetitive of the same concepts in Indian television).

Also, I realized that watching IPKKND also gives a bit of heartbreak because of improper closures, stupid tracks that were introduced for ridiculous reasons and heavy usage of irritating body double towards the end of the show. That is when I thought IF would be of any help to console the disappointment from the show. Then IF gave me links to the off screen videos, interviews, which again gave me some satisfaction.

But true satisfaction came today after spending nearly two and half hours going through your post which is a kind of treasure in itself full of IPKKND. I don't know why I never came across this treasure when I was active during the show running time or later. It gave me such a pleasure that compelled me to write this long post (I'm usually a silent reader not really commenting on posts but only liking the posts).

I can't thank you enough for making this post because it has all the emotions, analysis of episodes which were always inside my head for a long time without being shared to anyone. Your post made me realize that there are still some mad IPKKND fans on this forum still active and cherishing the magical show which has become a part of the life of its ardent fans.

lovely to meet you. ah, another ipk fan who just can't get over it. and thanks so so much for what you say about my post.

amazes me. it's been six years since the show ended, and i still meet fans, old and new... and we talk about a tv serial of all things.

i too, like you, came to the forum looking for solace, early 2012, as they started playing around with khushi's character, post the crazy, heart stopping wedding of theirs. i am no tv serial watcher. i had no intention of falling for this show. i would turn my back on the promos sniggering, thinking, huh, so they want this boy from shraddha to be this tycoon type. well, sometime in november 2011, without my even realising it, i got snared. diwali. man in grey suit with sharp hair cut walking towards girl in red with awful golden shoes, trembling lips; the poolside played up reflections, i couldn't make out why i couldn't look away. even as my upper arms and edges of ears started going hot.

this show really is nothing like anything i've ever seen. it sits in my heart, my head, become a part of me. i don't watch other shows. the hindi stuff is so bad, every day worse.

yes, there were horrid senseless tracks in ipk, but even their worst moments had something reaching out and getting you.

Finally reached episode 398.

I got hooked to your takes so badly. After Shyam's revelation I know there was no story, but I kept on to your takes just to know whether you felt the same angst I felt. Your takes didn't disappoint me!

Now I'm going back for your takes on IPKKND Ek Jashn.

P.S.: I am curious for you didn't accept my buddy request! Any reason other than you not being active on IF?

Ok, I'm done with ek jashn also. Didn't take much time, because just like you I too felt that it was not the IPKKND we fist fell in love with. They (the cast except my favourite Manorama mami) all were being themselves rather than playing the characters they first signed up way back in 2011! Anyways, thanks again Indi your analysis, ramblings, takes on the onscreen and off screen stuff was so spot on. I was constantly like "aap meri muh ki baath chunli!. Thank you. I hope we could interact again.

so happy to read that my endless takes and rambles are still being looked at, and enjoyed. thank you. it was a mad crazy time, watching the show, feelings the million things we did... and i wrote, and wrote some more. haven't felt that gripping charge for so long. sometimes i miss the show for just that.

mami. oh what a character. utkarsha naik was brilliant making her unforgettable. she so got her.

jashn was a waste of time, apart from a couple of moments which rode more on memory than material really.

i just went and saw the threads, lovely. thanks, zoya, delighted you saw my comment and pointed this out. wish faiqa had mentioned it. so happy, faiqa is writing new analysis and takes again. she's always good and her edits are fantastic.
