Many times word does an autosave and you may be able to recover the work. Those files generally have names starting with ~. I know in MS words, it autosaves and I always write on words that's why, I completely forgot to hit save with this format...Now I am using google doc, have yet to download MS office ugh!

Feel bad for you. Once I spent hours working on my thesis file, started printing it, only to have the computer jam up and had to reboot it without having the opportunity of saving the file. This is just a story, if it was thesis, i would still be under shock and depression...can't even imagine

When you start writing again, you will see that you will remember a lot and it will flow out of your mind fairly quick. Hopefully that will be the case since I an dying to read the next chapter. This was the part which needed few things to round up to make sense...that's what is bothering me...last part everything fitted so perfectly and now I am just trying too hard to make things fit perfectly...
