At first I did not want to comment...not because I did not like the post or anything, but because I felt that whatever I would say, won't be deserving of the magic you have woven in this magnificent post of yours. But later I realized that it would be unfair on my part to not let you know how much I loved your tribute. I am really bad with words but I will still try my best :P

Perfection is not flawlessness, it is what triumphs over the flaws and shines through them. IPK is not flawless, never was...but IPK is, was and always will be perfect. Despite of the shortcomings, IPK has made a special place in our hearts. Did those flaws manage to lessen our love for this show? Will it ever? No! This answer comes instantly to us, right? This just shows what a special place IPK has made in our heart...what it truly means to us. So why are we not happy now? Shouldn't we be celebrating this epilogue? How many people are this lucky? Does any other fandom possess this amount of power and control? You have made me realize that I actually don't give a damn about the sloppy writing or the struggling of the actors for a few brief periods of time. I am watching the EJ because I want to see IPK having an ideal closure, I want to enjoy every single moment of IPK, the only show that has managed to make me fall in love with itself. And that is what I am going to do for the last episode...enjoy IPK, enjoy Arshi...without bothering about the technicalities. I don't know how I will react, how I will feel after this Jashn is over. But I know for sure that I will enjoy it. I may be sad now that my favourite show will be over, this beautiful chapter will be closed forever. But then again, IPK is not an ordinary show...it's a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. I doubt anyone's love for IPK would ever lessen. As you have said already...IPK will always be remembered and cherished.

I thank you for making such a phenomenal and exceptional post...really mean it! I can say, without a second thought, that I agree with you on every single thing you said. We really need to demonstrate this kind of spirit and optimism for the sake of this magical show's closure. I came across this beautiful quote quite recently: "You'll never find a rainbow if you're looking down" (Charlie Chaplin). Just like that, we won't be able to truly celebrate the last episode if we watch it with a critical and scrutinizing mindset. Thank you for making me realize that :)

Hoping that I didn't come across as a pakau and whatever I ranted, wasn't utter rubbish. As Archana di would call it my brahmastra...can I call you di? :P

Ok. I am lost for words. This is going to be word vomit in all probability but what the hell, right! This post is the most comprehensive, unbiased, reasonable take on IPK-Ek Jashn that I have come across.

Firstly, those pictures. Damn. I can see the story flash in my head when I look at them. And, it is finally really settling in that that story is drawing to a close. This is bittersweet. I am glad that it is ending because with that, there will no more meddling with the classic. But it is ending. Even though, perhaps, I'll always feel that in a Sapnon ki Duniya somewhere, Arnav & Khushi are still living it up, in their own way-bickering, loving, laughing & then some. What a show this has been. I think, a lot of people would agree that the show, as a story wasn't that different but there was some inexplicable magic that transcended all borders of age, geographical barriers, educational backgrounds, language. Something clicks. And, it just connects. IPK wasn't a show. It really is an experience. Sigh!
And, your post. Perfect. This is word bliss. I swear. If I didn't have truckloads to do, I'd be reading this again & then, again. You summed it all up. The writing, the direction, the acting, the issues with sequels. Everything. Everything. And, THANK YOU for pointing out that Utkarsha Naik struggled because I thought I was the only one who noticed her difficulty. I love her. She is terrific, but they all had the burden of 3yrs gap. Even the writers. Damn. I have been going on & on about bad writing but you might have actually made me get over it. It happens.
And, that last bit about the show, I hadn't thought it possible, but I had Goosebumps reading it because this show is so dear to me, not for any other reason but the simple fact that it was wholesome entertainment in the most positive manner for the most part, untouched by the usual tv drama negativity. Brilliant show & brilliant tribute.
I will look forward to your take on the last episode. I have a feeling, I'll cry reading it because your post moved me, it did. It reminded me of why I am here for a show which ended 3yrs ago. It isn't a bad hangover. There was something there, that inexplicable thing that holds me captive even today.
So, yes. I have fingers & toes crossed for a new show with the cast because they are brilliant & be it on screen or off screen, oh the feels...
But that is for later. Come Tuesday, it is a final goodbye to IPKKND. A show that did redefine Indian tv & the power of a vocal fandom in its own way.
IPK probably will always remain in some small way a part of most fans' lives, I think. Because Hamesha was a self fulfilling prophecy in some ways. The universe heard & whispered a yes, when the word was uttered in IPK, maybe.
Wonderful post. It has been days since anything inspired me to write so much. Brilliant!

Why did I even bother writing what I did above? I should appoint you as my spokesperson 😆👏

After 4 years of being on this forum, loving this show like no other, going completely out of character for a Hindi 'serial', doing the unthinkable by writing a 'fan' fiction, reading millions of stories, posts, rants, bashings, analyses, spoilers, written updates and looking with wonder at all the graphics and VMs, I have finally found the ONE person, maybe unknowingly, we've all been looking for...wondering who among all us crazy fans is that ONE person?

You, my dear, is the one! The 'truest' IPKKND fan!

You made me cry, dammit!

It's hitting me now. Tomorrow, it will all be over! Finally and probably eternally!

But, this post, the essence of our show, will linger in my heart for a long time to come!

Thank you!
