Lin, As always...This show has gathered the most amazing, fantastic and fabulous Fans, writers and creative people...and you proved it one more time.
as you said aptly...

What is the best way to enjoy EJ: Keep your expectations low and, if possible, don't watch each episode immediately after it is uploaded. After all the eight episodes are out, watch them at a stretch. Because, frankly, that is what it is. It is one day, one episode, unwisely broken into fragments.
On perfection in acting terms, both Barun and Sanaya didn't really play Arnav and Kushi up to the mark, except in the rare moments when they were doing the ArShi thing. Arguing.

yes this Jashn can have provided name to their un-named relation but its not the jashn, the way we wanted to celebrate, sadly.

but once again concurring with you

IPK has run and reached its finishing point. Pedestalled in our hearts, it must be revered. Remembered. And sometimes revisited.

It will always be there. In random conversations and in occasional dreams. In our infrequent memories that may get tickled when something in real life reminds us of an episode or expression and makes us smile to ourselves.

ArShi will live on. Dancing through VMs, smiling at us in FFs, romancing in the gif images. Many will move on and find other obsessions. But IPK will remain a beautiful experience that they were happy to have shared in.

thank you once again for the post dear...you said it all...
looking forward to Arhasian journey, sadly which is also nearing its end...but its not faded or dull in any way form what it was on the first chapter...
see you in Arhasia...

And I thank IPK and its team to have make me meet people that I have met through it..

THANK YOU IPK...for ever and ever and ever...

This is the most apt post I've read about the show, you have literally voiced my thoughts. I found the disconnect in their performances and thought Barun speaking directly to a camera for 7 episodes would obviously make it difficult to play ASR, Sanaya being out of practise would also not be able to deliver KKGSR as well as she once did without a few more weeks of being the character at least. But they're ArHi, it's IPKKND, and we as fans know that after 3 years everything is still okay between them. And that's enough for us to treasure, and for us to keep loving the show.

I agree with you. but I personally didn't like these episodes at all though they were all 95% flashbacks & didn't come with a good story plot. Maybe I expected too much from the new montage & hype over it?
I can said I'm a disappointed viewer.

Beautiful analysis. I'm feeling the same wave of emotions that I felt three years back when it all ended. *happy tears*

Aquiline,

Thought I would wait for the final episode to air and then comment on this post of yours. Spectacular one complete with pictures and moods of the show from start to end...thank you for that. You set me thinking on a very important issue with your words about how the cast, the crew and the creative team as a whole has changed. If we complain that Jashn does not have the same look or feel, there are certainly reasons for that...Arnav and Khushi are no longer the same people...marriage and three years in each other's company has changed them around. He is now caring and sensitive, she tries to dissemble that she is angry and upset with him when she is actually such a softie inside...she is also more tech-wise with a Facebook account and a penchant for tablets and smart screens...

Basically, life happens. Things change. In Arshiland as much as anywhere else...their chemistry is still so rock solid...perhaps because now they do not need to try so hard as actors either...there is an easy familiarity to everything, even the Rabba vey...haha...😆

So despite all the bloopers, the disappointments and issues people may have with it, it remains a closure of sorts for our beloved show. Yes it would have been great to see them discuss babies and more...but perhaps another season then if there is enough of a demand for it, with the original cast and crew...we may not recognize the end product when we see it, but regardless! We now see the solutions to this pyaar and mohabbat and how it can change anyone to anything...the mighty ASR is now a man in love, Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada is an ace manipulator like her husband was in the past...there is that theory about how people begin to look and behave like each other after staying with one another for years...hmm..endless possibilities there...just saying!

So, let's turn the page and wait to see where Jashn takes us next...new season. Other collaborations? Time will tell! 😃

Best,

U moved me to tears
Beautifully written our feelings.
For me IPKKND ended after their second marriage. EJ may not be up to the mark but it provided a closure for the part of the heart hoping for more arshi.

I have not watched the Jashn yet. I was not very keen either, but after reading your analysis,I wol sure watch it in a stretch as you have suggested.
Indeed this gives a closure to a very special story.
Thanks for the superb writeup.

Best post I have read in a long long time. So beautifully etched out, I gave out a satisfactory sigh, realising what a wonderful memory Ipk is going to be in my head always :) Great job! Loved it all. Each and every single word.
