For Auld Lang Syne- a kostin

Teen saal is a long time in soap land and an average daily soap would take about 5 leaps and change at least 3 male leads. But teen saal is a decent amount of time even in real life. And when you've stayed friends with people you only met online because of a daily show that ended 3 years back, it is pretty special. I'm really not going to go Gaga over the obvious because there is time for that. I just wanted to say a big hello to all my old friends here. 3 years back we rocked this forum. No, I mean literally, we rocked it. Those were the days when being a moderator on the Ipk forum was like sazaa-e-kala-paani.

Here's hoping we have a great time here again!

Also, for the record - I defy anyone to have had a more eventful 3 years than I. I moved back from the US to India, met a wonderful man,we rabba-veyed, we even had a hospital hug. And then we made it official- pheres and everything so we don't ever need to do it again!

So, what have you been upto the past 3 years?

Did you miss arshi every day? Or did you switch loyalties and watch some other soap (ahem-ahem yhm)? Did you write 18+ ffs and post them on Anonymous blogs? Did you stalk that damn mall in Mumbai where sightings are frequent? Did you try to watch tinkle-tinkle because of your loyalty to Sanaya? (That's sad, but this is a no judgement zone, so unburden yourselves!)

Bring it on Chamelis and other forum friends! Can't wait to get this show on the road!

Teen saal can seem like so long but can pass by in the wink of an eye, no?

Teen saal mein, I too moved from the US to India, graduated, worked at sundry startups and non-profits, cried khoon ke aansoo over the GRE and grad school applications, and moved back to the US of A.

I also drank coffee at an airport and realised I have no money to pay (cards wouldn't work), got a moth stuck in my ear that had to be surgically removed, traveled a fair bit and some with forumie-friendz, paid a tribute to a favourite fan fiction on a beach in Palolem, Goa, attended an incredible forumie's beautiful wedding, and spent wayyy too much time faffing around with friends both in the asli duniya and virtual.

And I went to see Bhaiya when he came to a mall near my house, awkwardly took a picture with him and thanked him for giving us this amEzing fandom and so many friends, confused the heck out of him, continued to write silly fan fiction with ages 5 and above content (I lie), attempted to watch a show that claimed to be based on Othello for love of Sanaya Irani and gave up in disgust, discovered Hotstar and lost many productive hours on it, casually told everyone that I've moved on from IPK but squealed like a pankhi when I saw the new promo, and thanked my lucky stars for this show-- and all that it led to once again.

And in the space of writing this post, I burned my dal. Ah well.

Oh three years have been un-rabba-vey-fully eventful.

Changed jobs. Also, I was a completing a degree when IPK was on air and I am starting off with a new degree program now when its back. Yeah, full circle. Don't worry, this is yet another degree. I didn't fail that first one 😛

No tinkle tinkle but I was heartbroken at the sheer level of bullshit that was MAMR. No other TV soap. Pyaar ek baar hi hota hai and all that. So I love SRK and I love IPK. Bas.

I did write an FF that had just about the same number of readers as there were viewers for Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag. I do believe it the content wasn't as bad though. And it did have some 18+ moments that were written as I cringed my way through the writing.

I wasn't a part of the erstwhile rocking as I joined the Forum quite late. I am here now for the Return of the Rock. So bring it on, fangirls! Because we are still not over it!

Edit1 - Since I am the only idiot who forgot to mention this, let me add. The best thing I did this past year was attend a wonderful Forumi friend's wedding with other Forumi friends and celebrated the Rabba Vey-ful union. And it was AWESOME.

The post and the above RES - both making me feel nostalgic.

We all are here because we all loved IPK and still do.

I have met some truly amazing people through this show and a forum. I am in constant touch with them. We have explored some amazing places together as well. One of the reasons why I love IPK so much <3

Now coming back to the show,

The amount of concern I have had for Khushi was more than the concern I have had for my relatives ever. Too hard to believe ? I don't think so.

IPK was the only show which I loved from the heart. I haven't even watched a single show after that. My heart is like Lavanya you know.

I am glad the show is back. We all know that it's just a single episode but still, it will give us an another reason to relive those moments :)

I seriously can't wait for the spoilers, episode analysis, Eye S**, why Curtains are red, Barun's Mood - Barufy's Law ( Barun + Murphy), SBS spoilers, Poojali's theories. Simply can't wait.

For Game of Throne's fans - WINTER IS COMING.

PS. - We all had an amazing time at Max's wedding. We enjoyed Rabba Ve's like literally and spoke about the show like crazy.

Chutki hasn't done much in three years except run between school and college and then college and home and listen to a lot of songs of the metro. And no, no Arnowji thrown also, which is why I wrote one instead in a fic I started! (That happened this year only)

There was a lot of drinking though, because it's college and because why not! And now there are exams. Uff.

I did get over the pink comics sans text though.

I was a silent reader back then, but a complete pankhi of your kostins. I can't believe you are back with them. It is going to be such a hoot.

What did I do the past three years? I have been slogging at Medical school. No rabba vey, no new show. Only body parts & their functions, not necessarily the fun kind, alone.

Oh & congratulations on finding your own Arnavji.

Clearly you have been more productive these years than most of us 😛
