this i must post here. issk and me talking for the very first time... it was on crooner farewells, posted around 3 december 2012, just as ipk ended and blast started. okay, since we are going to be famous and much researched for generations to come...

this is abs historical data as far as the bftp phenomenon is concerned. 🤣

IPK happened to me so suddenly I had no idea till I was completely under the spell. Never ever having focussed on any fiction on Indian tv (what a bloody snob that makes me sound like!), I could not believe what was happening as I stayed up night after night on YT watching it unfold... "to comprehend a feeling and honour it" that sounds so good. that crazy feeling? am i going insane or what, it was mine too when i first saw ipk last october some time. it was like a spell had been cast, a thumb pricked and blood drawn, sleep robbed. iphone clutched in hand replaying episode on youtube till 3, 4 am. key in a name and search and look up everything available under it, onscreen, offscreen, anything. miss bus stop. yikes. oh did i feel foolish. not a tv serial watcher me, certainly not hindi tv. love good looking men but not enough to sit through a hindi serial, certainly not get addicted. what a lesson in humility this maddening serial has been.

nice thought about the makers, but i don't think any of them will ever read this gorgeous thread or any of the fabulous 158 other crooners here. it was a really precious thing they made and when all is said and done and the counting of money and blame over, i hope they do realise what it is that they have created, and feel the right feelings about it.

just saw episode one with pauses and repeats. absolute delight. that little turn into a patch of comedy: the kitchily "lucknowi" receptionist with rose in hand and "shayri" on lips greets the rajkumari in sneakers, light airy fun, then off she goes to do "killa phatey," the perfect break before the action paces up and the tension of first encounter. neat.

😆But I'm glad its working here. Its a pretty volatile love isstory, so don't know when it'll become super minuswa. Ok, I'll keep it at isstar, no plujj or minuj. Decisions on plujj deferred, till some good sense prevails on vms appearing on YT!
