what they accessed with ipk, they never have with their other shows... nor possibly ever will.

a completely new audoence set... and avery inteeresting one, even from the advertisers' point of view... we for a set across the world that can be such an opportunity for marketers everywhere...

but not a shred of real thought expended, a futile obsession with making ipk count with teh same old same old audience... i have heard of a senior star person saying as much... ha, it';s not working in the domestic market... well you are the biggest channel or so you claim, surely you have a line up of shows reaching that audience... here a different one, one those shows will never reach...

but no, we know best.

now, sit and do silly things trying to mine a treasure that was yours to take once.

i am looking again at the episodes as i download.
my g... the entire thing sang because of that chemistry, didn't it.

gust of wind, catch fall, hair flying... none of that is new... serial satple all. in fact most times they're laughable, flat... totally signaling this ain't your kind of thing.

but here, your eyes don't shift, your breath races... your sense of being sensible is where you have no idea.

the other beauty was the sense of humour... from the crass to the urbane adult refined, all sorts of flights into fun. of course the lead actress has a feel for comedy not many actresses in our land have... she is just too good, unless of course you have turned her into a shrieky object of let's get trp.

then little details here and there that enriched the watch... was seeing the epiosde where she fixes him with the jalebi bai ring tone... the man whom the angry young asr had reprimanded earlier has the most comical expression...

scattered across the early episodes some priceless touches.

no other serial offers this, is made with this amount of care... despite body doubles and many other ughs, there's so much to enjoy, cherish... worth fighting for was this show.

the ones who should have, didn't.

so i was happy to along with all of us here.

You said it Indi...
All the actors from the original plot melded together so well to make this show a fantastic piece...
Even Dadi when she came evoked such strong emotions...
The direction, photography (this stood out for me when I saw the first episode and had me hooked) and of course the script and the chemistry made it outstanding...

Oh yes indi that urbanity and sense of humor made it so very soothing and refreshing for eyes and ears to watch..

So many cliches of that catch fall spared from being pedestrian both becos where they were strategically placed like that kitchen fall post bandagement that elevated the story line and becos of that very responsive chemistry..
i actually see chemistry clicking not just the leads but between many including NK -buaji...

and i really liked the ramp shots. that sheeshmahal at night set up was lovely. the clothes were a bit tacky but the girls were good, the filming and music and oh the man... that scene of him walking out onto the ramp as the sun sets. beauty. gives me a crazy thrill every time as in har baar.

Breathtaking shots...as you said that sheeshmahal ramp used very well to create an aura, majesty.. one thing that always remained special were the close up shots... it needs lot of confidence and conviction both on part of the director and actor to pull off so many of these to great effect..
that shot of pigeons fluttering and starkly bringing him into present announced the arrival of a great story...

i love direction and detail in ipk, in several places and abs in the front end. nissar parvez and maan singh setting a tone and texture up to 30, lalit mohan and arshad khan taking it expertly forward. hrishikesh gandhy's unerring camera, catching just the angle and the movement... the editors' sense of rhythm and motion, it often felt like music... the whole thing.

and the pigeons... sometimes background, sometimes like extra actors... in their fluttering wings untold stories, hints of mystery, of disquiet, of a heart caged... how fabulously they add to the first episode at sheeshmahal, as if suddenly more a;ert sensing an energy not felt before, the editor cuts on birds flying past, a man startled then utterly inert... pigeons always say many things i guess and in geet too they were there in the beginning... i haven't seen beyond episode 3 or 4, but the light, tone, texture... very nissar parvez... here there were kkg and asr to light it all up in a way no one else can.

enchanting, i could so do with a dvd set... think the moneymakers will comply?

Hi wivy...
thank you for the welcome...yes you're correct...the journey of arnav and khushi is as beautiful as tagores work...it's subtle, soothing, romantic and mysterious! The leasurely pace at which the feelings were unraveled can only be compared to sitting in the porch on a winter afternoon reading the works of the great poet.
Thank you for dedicating one of my fav rabindra sangeet ❤️

Wish there was a more alluring easier way to share this video..

I have been reading about an archetype.. the redeemable byronic hero.. a hero who is far from ideal.. who might have a tragic incident in his past.. who scorns society and niceties.. who is intelligent and hardened by life.. irresistibly male.. mysterious and out of reach.. may hide a golden heart.. capable of immense passion.. and a deep consuming love.

Took clips from the first three episodes and made this vm.. do take a look.. first attempt at using imovie..
