indu... that tri karan shuddhi thing most lovely... again and again we have delved into things other than physical ritual observations. always good to know. i am instinctively hindu, if it is possible to be so... and when i read such things, i feel that's the thinking i belong to, feels like my own...

the story initially if i am to believe rumour... was not supposed to have a marriage at all. he was going to force her to "live" with him, thus stopping her from ruining his sister's life and also shaming her... which no doubt his now very hurt and angry heart would think she deserves or whatever.

seems star plus demanded marriage.

and so script moved that way.

frankly, i don't think legally there is anything called six month contract marriage... this is tv land concoction.

whatever it may be, we saw a girl wearing the signs of marriage who said she understood the meaning of these things...

and he later said they were also legally married.

she in these three ways did accept him by the time the remarriage fiasco started...

pretty hard to see, especially the second time round, girl with sindoor taking shagun and smiling cutely and going coy... not my scene. he he. me khadoos.

yes force. bad bad bad. and that issue had to be brought up. but of course wasn't... the fact that she was in a fairly helpless position in away especially given her youth... it would have been great to watch him internalise that... maybe even think of his mother, who was in a helpless position in her way, mother of two children.

but he too had seen something horrific. you and i know the truth behind it... he doesn't. he tries to talk to both, shyam gets to him first, realises he is assuming khushi is part of the terrace chaos and turns the story... asr loses it... he still tries to talk to his sister and the pregnancy thing comes up... he goes bananas...

but before all of this... khushi has not spoken the truth. whatever be the reason.

so in a way our actions take us to their denouements... and i don't blame anyone beyond a point. if i have to get all focussed on the force... i must equally ponder the withholding of truth.

at the end of both these, stand two human beings... and to err is human.

he actually did apologise in the end... and went all out to do what he thought she wanted.

she never ever fully understood the seriousness of not telling him about shyam... and after all this went and brought shyam back.

and again the same question, had it not been her would he have said marriage, and had it not been him would she have agreed.

there were many ways to address issues of force and withholding the truth... remarriage was not one of them.

Its one of those miserable days over here and I'm in a strange mood. Don't feel like working, so thought why not talk IPK!!!
Indi di, I don't think he would've married if it was someone else nor she. Probably would've given the person a mouthful. Which brings us to the fact, that it was because of him that she found it hard to say the truth. Because she understood what his sister meant to him. But that doesn't make it any less wrong. When she figured out the truth about snake, her equation with him at that point did not give her the confidence to tell him freely? And all her associated guilt for having caused the falling through of Payal's first marriage. Too much for a young girl to handle. Like you mentioned, wish they had shown him ponder on that, that it was a lot for a young girl who did not have the life experience or maturity ( even though she did seem quite mature in many ways) to handle. Also show her ponder on how her actions played a part in what happened to her. That bringing in of snake later on is something I didn't get, that was so wrong. The earlier khushi wouldn't have done that. Well, lets blame it on the aliens and their inablilty to clone properly!
About the legality of the marriage, it could be legal (as in formally registered) and they could have a separate agreement/contract stating that it will be dissolved after six months. We should be given degrees for expending our intellectual energies on this! 😆

yes, she is too young, i will stay with 19 almost 20... to take such a decision with abs equanimity... she holds back... as you say, not right, but in a way understandable...

how much better if we had sent scully and mulder after the aliens and saved our khushi... young, wise, honest, sunny, but so vulnerable. and let her think, let him feel, understand her emotions... reach out and try to let her know, no he didn't really mean to hurt her, it was one of those terrible terrible days... and leave snake to do the snake dance.

ah that's an interesting way to devise a "contract" marriage.

we should get phds.

Mulder and Scully, remember watching season 1 of x files with my mom and brother. Used to be scared out of my wits, but would still watch! Ya, me the biggest darr pok! Even khilay ka rahsya used to scare me😆 Wonder if anybody remembers that, from the good old days.

Accidently watched the sbb or sbs segment of teri meri. O mee gaad, the hotness quotient of what's shown in that is something else! So they showed the relatively tame version, wonder why?!!!!😆

Fear of hormone levels hitting the stratosphere around the globe?!!!

Indi di, I don't know if its the angles or close up, its just more hot, for want of a better word.
