I have been ruminating on the chote di scene. Anjali was behaving like the spoilt brat who wants all the attention. She should be the center of everyone's world. Her chote has always pampered her in some sense, by listening to her, indulging her, and today he goes definitely out of his way to make her feel how important she is in his life.

Even in this instant, would ASR not realize he was definitely in love with Khushi before marriage? I don't think he would intentionally lie and neither would he have been blind to his feelings for the girl. He is one of the most self realized protagonists I have ever come across, who always was given a chance to introspect and grow. It would have been seamless to have him say something along the lines of he starting to feel something tender before marriage and finally accepting that it is love in these past few months. He could have still stressed on the fact that it was all for di and her hone wala child's sake. Di would be the central figure in this story and our favourite character would be spared from saying stuff that simply isn't true.

Makes me wonder, did the writers just not think enough or was it intentional? Was the viewer expected to suffer memory loss or the "baat karni hai" and bindi churi giving and waiter banoing ka bas koi matlab nahi..

He reminds di of her words.. .. Saansey ruk jayengi.. The reticent man is unusually forthcoming today.. Again was it needed? I don't think so, but where di is concerned he always errs on the side of going overboard in terms of affection. Her childish demand for importance is assuaged and di smiles happily.

In a parallel scene I liked nani's sensible verdict. You both are a married couple, and for you to spend time together is essential. In one scene a brother was trying to make it all about his sister, in another the wise elderly lady stressed on the fact that marriage changes status quos. The married couple are the closest bound unit. ASR wanted just that. Some quality husband and wife time. Khushi did not even get a chance to consider herself his wife. There is di now, a contract hanging over their heads and soon their will be dadi.

The man is happy. Lies at a vague uncomfortable distance from his wife, the same one who had come running into his arms some time back, and gazes upon her. He is hopeful. The lips tilt upwards and his voice grows huskier as he thinks back. "Daudti hui meri baahon mein".. Sounded delicious the way he said it. Then all he is allowed is to hold her hand and drift off to sleep. What thrills me is always the possibility of more. The imagination wants a free reign, because Arnav Singh Raizada in impatience could have shaken awake his peacefully sleeping wife and reminded her again of the bet she lost. Instead of a sweet scene we might have got an ajeeb adorable hot fight instead.

And we did get a playful scene. He brought her channe while he went jogging. When ASR woos his wife he uses everything in his power, from grand gestures made of pathways of red rose petals that materialize literally out of thin air to even grander peace offerings of roadside channe and of course the acidity attack giving dashing charm which is his personal best lethal weapon.

Even sitting innocently their bodies seem to gravitate towards each other. What is one without the other?

They sit picking up channe from the floor. Always adept at seizing the opportunity he just has to tease her. He know what riles her. She gets adorably flustered, a word am going to use for her a lot in the coming episodes. There is an involuntary reaction in her of getting swept off her feet, only she tries to remain standing supposedly because of di.

I think a part of this refusal to get wooed is also because of the lingering hurt after the fight that night. She is hopelessly muddled, but even more hopelessly in love with the rakshas she flings her arms around and gathers close to her heart in the darkness of the night when the world consists of only the two of them.

There has been quite a lot of talk on collar bones.. look at them here..

Put Barun Sobti in the frame and hand him a laptop and you don't need to worry about what the others are saying, because am completely distracted by him. After a lot of effort I did manage to notice di making an effort to be civil to Khushi. So ASR's revelation of everything-for-you-di-even-my -love-only-after-marriage-for-Khushi-is-because-of-you-di did work as intended.

He makes me want to burst into tears because the love he has for his pagal but cute girl just fills my heart with stars, rainbows, songs and dance and basically everything nice and happy.

Look around you, says he. Its your favourite place, this is where you sleep in taekwondo style and eat golgappa to your hearts content. Don't look sad and disheartened. And why aren't you singing? What the what the.. With those lips again curling magnificently. Almost an eagerness to see her back to her cheerful sprightly self. Enjoy his sense of humour.

He segues into a concerned husband, a hand on her shoulders, trying to make her laugh, sensing her discomfiture. From a lighthearted banter in an effort to make her smile, he cups her chin with his hand, a voice awfully anxios, "kya hua hai tumhe?" There are many ways the dialogue could have been said. The actor chose to stress on "kya". On "what". He wants to know what's worrying her.

Her tears came without warning. She has to blink them away. He knows something is amiss, and she has to turn back one last time.

Now there isn't even the remotest nafrat then what stops them from coming close? Often for a beholder it looks straightforward enough, but lovers have to go through these tragic heartaches, befuddling misunderstandings, topsy turvytwists and unexpected turns to finally find a way to each other. It's always worth it. And watching Arnav and Khushi unravel the mysteries of love is definitely worth it.

Beautiful anatomy again rhea like your last one. and gorgeous edits...Yes few things didn't make sense at all.. you might have seen my tweet to GH 2 years ago about that one dialogue asr, that i couldn't digest ..its almost like one wants to shake him to realize what he was saying..you are absolutely right that he is always very liberal in pouring affection to di, but he was never really blinded as well as he had no intentions of hiding about Shyam to her at first...that line is an out and out outlier.. doesn't exist.. koi matlab nahi.. for me..

it was more than soap land's unrealism when Khushi slept peacefully with her just a few min ago hugged hot and happening pati next to her.. and he his Di sab janthi hai also didn't sit well with me.. this is YOUR place.. belongs to you and your wife..who very much love each other above / and / or inspite of every thing.. so yes a little tit tat would have been great there...

that in blue, That is "chemistry" i thought.. doing one's part fabulously well is one thing but making the presence of the other also felt in the same frame.. that they are in one zone.. that they belonged together... and this is done to unbelievably perfection/ consistency by both of them.. asr/ khushi.. barun/ sanaya..there may be few to many who are very good with facial expressions, but that moving in sync in every frame...its always a duet.. its always a ballet..that is chemistry... for me..

enjoyed the read rhea..

Khushi is aghast to see Arnav.. she asks him how did he enter!

"khirke se... through window" he replies with gritted teeth.

"itni mehnat humse mehnat karane ke liye." she laughs gleefully.

"khushi, stop calling me." He berates her.

"nahi duty sir duty. if you need something at night." Khushi's sarcastic reply acerbates him even more.

"Khushi I need to sleep."

"OK shall I sing lullaby."

"so jao,...go to sleep" he again berates her.

"achcha" and she just falls asleep. Arnav is just befuddled, how cum a person can sleep so easily. Khushi is just like a baby.

"ho" he tries to wake her up. It sounded more like Barun, but certainly not ASR. He pushes her and pats on her cheek, but no response. After staying up whole night she must be exhausted. Arnav turns off the TV and takes her left over food in the kitchen. What a cute husband he became. I wish if I could see them all alone in their own home, in their own choti si duniya. I'm sure both will pamper each other.

Arnav easily picks her pliant body in his arms and carries her towards the bedroom. After putting her down on the bed, when he tries to leave, he can't go as like always Khushi clutches his shirt. He carefully extricates her hand from his shirt. After tucking her with bed sheet when he tries go again, Khushi holds his hand and keeps it under her cheek. There is no way he can go now. So he also lies down beside her and falls into an easy slumber, looking at her angelic face, and comforted by the warmth of her touch.

In the morning Arnav opens his eyes first and finds Khushi is all over him. He mutters in surprise, "Don't know how she sleeps, in a taekwondo pose. She doesn't sleep like this at home, but why here!"

khsushi is also baffled to see him there. She sits up on the bed in a jolt. He asks her why here she sleeps like this?

"It's my habit. And what's your problem? When you sleep holding my hand, do I say anything?" Khsuhi says in a grumpy tone.

"Excuse me when I sleep holding"... he can't finish and sees that he is really holding her hand, she nods angrily.

"I guess it's also my habit." A sweet tender expression suffuses his face.

Khushi suddenly thinks how cum they are here on the bed!

"Obviously I brought you here and in sleep you didn't let me go, so I stayed back."

He is leaving and reminds her of the 24 hours deal. Khushi asks him with irritation, what she supposed to do now.

"Go back to sleep."

Khushi is nonplus and he chides her to go back to sleep again.

Arnav sure treats Khushi like his baby.

Early in the morning Anjali asks HP about Arnav. She looks a bit upset when HP told her he went to Khushi's house and perhaps didn't return.

It's really pity that Anjali still can't accept Khushi in her brother's life.

Khushi's sleep breaks at Arnav's call. She picks up the phone with annoyance. Arnav charges her why she took so much time to pick the phone. Still there is 3 minutes left to finish 24 hours. khushi disgruntles to see his hegemony. "It feels like I am your slave since ages."

Arnav shuts her up and tells her to open the door in 3 minutes; he sent 24000 through his driver. Khushi's face glints with a triumphant smile and she starts to chatter, "My own income. I worked hard and I couldn't let you win."

Arnav is not in a mood to hear her prattle and he hangs up.

Khushi embitters, but gets happy that the rent problem has been solved and buaji also didn't know about it. She smiles, "laad governor is not that bad". But her smile doesn't last long as when Arnav's telltale the landlord came, he demands 24000 more. But khushi paid the whole amount, then why he is asking more! The guy says the new owner of the plot applied maintenance charge so she has to pay the extra 24000. If she is not able to pay that amount right now he has new tenant who is ready to pay the full amount. Khushi exasperate and tells him if he can't talk to the new owner, she will talk.

Khushi barges in the new landlord's office with fulminating anger. She tells the receptionist that she wants to meet the owner. After a while the lady comes back and apologizes to her cause the boss said that she needs to go to his house with him. Khushi feels infernal inwardly to hear such imprudent proposal, "what does he think of himself!" when the girl says sorry, she exasperates more and strides towards his room to fight with him.

The boss was in a meeting. But who listens to the great KKGSR. She pries in the boss's cabin with alacrity,

"How dare you? You will reduce my rent if I come with you at your place? Do you know that I am."

"Married girl" Arnav swivels with his chair.

Khushi is stupefied to see the boss. Arnav tells his staffs to leave.

"What do you want to prove by doing all this?"

Arnav smiles sardonically, 'I thought I gave you a good proposal. You just have to come to the house and you don't have to pay the rest of the money."

"I already told you everything will be fine in few days. Then why are you doing this?"

Arnav doesn't ponder her words, just says with a derisive smirk that if she wants the rent reduction, she has to come back home.

"nahi," khushi is incorrigible

Arnav turns back and quips, "I don't have any choice, but to demolish your house. You and your family will come to the street. But I can't help it."

"OK I agree." she says with volition.

"OK you go home and I'm coming to pick you up."

'No Asr don't cause you trouble. I didn't mean to go with you. Whatever you want to do, do." she is obdurate, absolutely firm in her decision. Standing in front of him she says peremptorily,

"You want to demolish buaji's ho, then do it. I will also wait for your big bulldozer and big truck and your big ego,"

Arnav is smiling to see her haughtiness. He tries to speak. But Khushi is so mad now that even doesn't want to let him speak.

"When I talk don't interrupt and you know what, after staying with you I also learnt how to write my fortune." valiant Khushi tells him tersely just like ASR.

A glimmer of smile still suffuses in his visage, what enrages her more,

"Don't smile."

"kiyu, why shouldn't I smile? I know very well what's gonna happen in few hours, that's why I am smiling."

"We will talk about the few hours thing later let's talk about the moment of now."

Her rancor makes her just cantankerous that she literally rampages through his office room, she throws the pens and files and tries to break the photocopy machine. When her lissome body can't gather enough strength to move that heavy machine, Arnav asks if he can help.

"Stay away from me." She infuriates more. She gets the paper from the machine and throws on to his face with disdain. the sudden attack makes him lean back.

" take it and I guess this will reduce your smile."

And when she was ready to leave after vandalizing his office she feels the tug to her dupatta.

"What the" comes out from her mouth involuntarily. The lady ASR is showing her cogent today. She turns back as if gonna hit Aranv now. But her dupatta actually got stuck with the machine. Arnav beckons her with his eyes and says

" I already saw your anger in this matter before. Thank God you don't have hot tea in your hand." He opens the door for the lady boss to leave. His mouth is a little agape in amazement.

This is called unconditional love. Someone rampaged through his office and talked to him disdainfully, even accused him, but rather getting angry he enjoyed this!

While getting back in his room, he overhears some staffs are talking about Khushi and him that the boss told the girl to come to his house to stay with him. One guy says what is the fault of the boss, anyone would've said like that to see such item.. Maybe I also would. Arnav's BG music intensifies; his jaw tautens and starts to fray at the edge. He just can't tolerate such insinuation about his wife. He strides towards him and gives him a slap

"She is not an item, but Khushi kumari gupta singh raizada, my wife. Next time don't even utter anything against her or even any girl."

This ASR whom I missed when shyam was tarnishing Khushi's character.

Nani is instigating anjali to get more gifts from chottey in this rakshabandhan. Anjali recalls their previous rakhi day and Arnav's last night promise to be with her forever. She says she doesn't want any gift just want him to stay with her forever. Smart nani can sense her frustration. So to pacify her, she tells her, "chottey went to Khushi's house to stay as Madhumatiji is not well, but he will come back when she will be fine."

After a long break got to see NK's jovial face. He tells anjali as she is making friendship band she also should make one for him. Anjali says it's not friendship band but rakhi. Nani scolds NK what the matter with him that he vanished all of a sudden

"I am hawa ka chokar."

"Not chokar but hawa ka jhoka" Anjali corrects him

"Humari hindi ekdum baghdad hai."

'Not baghdad but barbad."

Anjali smiles. nani gets delectable to see her grand daughter's smile after a long time. she says to NK, that his hindi could be wrong, but because of this, her bitiya smiled.

Nani is no less than a mom for Anjali and Arnav. How she pampers Anjali, and always takes care of her, love and care her emotions, really wonderful.

Their convo get interrupted by a phone call. And to see nani's suspicious look Anjali gets a bit tizzy. to allay their suspicion, she says them that she doesn't know why she gets all the ripped call, sometime from credit card Company, sometimes from loan service.

Khushi wakes up from her sleep in a jolt after the night mare. She saw Arnav is threatening even in her dream. She tries to assuage her anxious mind, "he just threatened her, not gonna send a bulldozer, bari aye ASR." But as soon as she tries to aberate her fear she sees amma is moving helter skelter inside the house, because there is no water in the house. But it's only 7 in the morning. How cum the water is out so early!. She assumes it rained less this monsoon season that's why they are having scarcity of water.

bua and amma somehow could manage with little water to get Khushi's babuji ready. But bua doesn't know how she will get water for cooking. Khushi comes with her big smile, she says she will manage. Amma tells her to prepare food and she also should pack her bags to go back to her in law's house. It's not right to stay in parent's home for so long. Bua also assents, she met her amma-babuji and now she should go back.

"For a married girl, it doesn't look nice if she stays at home for so long."

Khushi dithers to hear this, how can she say she came from her husband's home for good. She says she will discuss this matter later. After bidding them bye Khushi checks the water and still no water. She thinks perhaps whole delhi has water crisis. She turns on the TV to watch her favorite Kamlesh Khabri, cause he knows everything. But she can't continue watching TV as the power also goes off. She can't fathom what's happening. She comes out to check the fuse box. There she meets their neighbor Vimla massi. Khushi tells her she will fix the power in a moment. Vimla is surprised if there is power, why she gonna fix it!

Khushi gets incredulous. Vimla massi asks did her husband come and must've turned on the AC, that's why the power must go off in their house. Khushi asks her do they have water! They also have water in the house. Khushi recalls Arnav's threat of demolishing the house. Anticipation and apprehension makes her angry. She can understand now who cut off the power and water line. She can't believe that Arnav can stoop so low.

Your shuddh hindi poems always remind of songs from Stree, a V. Shantaram's movie based on Dushyant and Shakuntala. Was too young when I heard those songs, but they sounded different than others, later realized..they were all shuddh hindi, heavy Prakrit influenced to suit the time period, genre of that story , unlike the other hindi songs which were heavily urdu influenced. Ofcourse I loved the latter too to bits, but the songs of Stree sound special for that language as that genre is not explored a lot in Hindi unlike in the south.
Nirdayi Pritam was a special fav of my parents, heard it first when this movie was aired on Indira Gandhi's funeral on DD..

really this was not necessary. Arnav could pacify her even without saying lie. It was just a careless writing, but nothing else.

I told you it was not ASR, but stupid writers, who forgot the essence of the story of star crossed lovers.

Makes me wonder, did the writers just not think enough or was it intentional? Was the viewer expected to suffer memory loss or the "baat karni hai" and bindi churi giving and waiter banoing ka bas koi matlab nahi..
just told you above.

I don't think so, but where di is concerned he always errs on the side of going overboard in terms of affection. Her childish demand for importance is assuaged and di smiles happily.
that is what is it. that old woman needs to get all the attention. She made a delusional world of a perfect world. And that perfect world has been marred by Khshi, so she just couldn't accept t. this type of woman I also saw in real life too, who never grows up.

In a parallel scene I liked nani's sensible verdict. You both are a married couple, and for you to spend time together is essential. this sleeping position is too sweet for a married couple. I missed the animal magnetism what I witnessed some while ago in the previous episode. how he pulled her towards his chest and hugged her tight, marked his territory. I wanted him to do thesame. Don't you think he should snuggle her close to him?

And we did get a playful scene. He brought her channe while he went jogging. When ASR woos his wife he uses everything in his power, from grand gestures made of pathways of red rose petals that materialize literally out of thin air to even grander peace offerings of roadside channe and of course the acidity attack giving dashing charm which is his personal best lethal weapon.
I agree, he would've done more if the PH spent some money.😉

Even sitting innocently their bodies seem to gravitate towards each other. What is one without the other?

He makes me want to burst into tears because the love he has for his pagal but cute girl just fills my heart with stars, rainbows, songs and dance and basically everything nice and happy.
poor man is certainly in a predicament.

he just couldn't see his zealous Khushi sad. didn't she fall in love with her for her vibrant personality!

He segues into a concerned husband, a hand on her shoulders, trying to make her laugh, sensing her discomfiture. From a lighthearted banter in an effort to make her smile, he cups her chin with his hand, a voice awfully anxios, "kya hua hai tumhe?" There are many ways the dialogue could have been said. very beautiful analysis. I loved your last para so much. absolutely true. Though this kind of love doesn't exists in real world any more. people became selfish and the tolerance level is zero. so when I see Khushi I also try to learn from her. Yu know actually in this juncture Khushi didn't have any grudge on Arnav. moreover she was actually mortified inwardly to leave her husband. She just left the house for the sake of Anjali. she knew if Anjali was not happy, arnav couldn't be happy.
I marked so many lines blue which are my favorite and talked a lot also.
the edits are beautiful and this is my favorite.

just uff. Durga can make such carnal stuff I couldn't imagine. Kidding! absolutely sensuous but aesthetic.

what a wonderful thought Indu di. Yes chemistry.. you are right, they just move in sync.. flow beautifully with and into each other. onc just has to see them together in one scene to know how perfectly they play off each other. Imagine all the off screen laughter and silly banter, and finally the end product of this vitality and intensity. I found it most touching in the subtle gestures, in just the way they would react to the presence of each other.. beautiful that we got to watch hours of this.. its almost like an elixir that restores your cheerfulness level.

Good point about unrealism. ASR has started to already go a little too sugary.. sadly thanks to him I have become diabetic and this does not sit too well with me. And Khushi will slowly not be allowed to feel a thing. Luckily Sanaya managed to convey quite a lot with her looks, since she was not given the words. Even with devi maiyya she doesn't talk abou the avalanche of dhak dhaks that must have descended upon her when he spoke of "ab manwa lete hai".

thank you for always reading and saying nice things. You liked the edits? I found a new site.. picmonkey.com. Its quite nice, maybe give it a try?

@Horizin~
Thanks for reading my 309.
you are so right the man is just meticulous, a perfectionist. But it is strange that he chose Khsuhi who is quite clumsy and crazy. Opposite sure attracts. One thing also is true no man can be all square. Now when I've been watching sheetal track in rerun, seeing him as skilled drummer, basket ball champ is irritating me. Especially when he said Khushi not to serve Sheetal the halwa with nuts. Really! the ASR what we saw at the beginning was very rude and ruthless. He hardly talked nicely even with Lavanya. But this man were so sweet in his college days! wow! unbelievable, isn't it! How he described his dating days with sheetal it seemed. he was just a regular guy. Not certainly the arrogant tycoon what we saw initial days of IPK. Anyway, just few cute scenes between arnav and Khsuhi this whole sheetal track is disgusting. And that Aarav is he most irritating of all. Seriously. don't think I am mean. I love kids. all my nephews and nieces are so fond of me. But this Aarav who all the time emulated Aarnav was an extremely ill mannered battameez kid I've ever seen in my life.

"meri zindagi ka sabse important hissa hamesha aap thi aur rahogi!"
you were the most important part of my life and will remain so.

story is clearly not on track... and hasn't been for a while. in the middle of that, episode opens with asr saying he married khushi only for his sister's sake. okay, to some extent this is true... but then he underscores, he didn't love khushi at that time... really? well maybe he hadn't found a name for that faraq feeling of his yet, his heartbeat going haywire, his need to run to her wherever she is, even if it means he'd have to beat nk to carry, of all things, a shadi ka joda. a tycoon who runs his own empire suddenly ready to be courier, waiter, handkerchief giver, anything. but okay this was not love, or he had not figured out yet it was that...

"yeh toh shadi ke baad jo usse pyaar honey laga.."
it was only after marriage that i began to fall in love with her...

but then he reassures his sister it's only after he got married that he fell in love with khushi... she became that saansey ruk jaaygi girl di spoke of.

this is when i am bursting blood vessels. so what was that "khushi" moment way back, when his dhadkane raced and he looked at his own reflection and connected why his heart beat so... and for whom.

beautiful acting by barun sobti and flaky childish, reassure me i am at the centre of your world expressions from daljeet. yeah, maybe it was the need of the moment to say something to make di feel better, stronger... she is his world as he says... and she is. but why this weird bare faced lying by a man who doesn't lie.

if there's one person willing to look at the truth for what it is, it is this man... so why this ridiculous writing.

there was a troubled look on asr's face when his now happy and mollified sister hugged him. i wondered why, is it because he knows he didn't exactly speak the truth... but no, lying is so not asr. it was perhaps asr wondering why the writer was doing this to him. aahh good catch. I might just go back and watch. the actor is exceptionally intelligent when it comes to his craft specially. I am convinced what you saw must have inadvertently or intentionally slipped in.

"jo bhi hua usski jp bhi wajah ho, aap naahin hain khushi bitiya..."
whatever happened and whatever be the reason for that, it wasn't you, khushi...

in the meantime khushi sits under a fairly self created burden of guilt and talks to possibly the only character who stayed intact... nani ji. i enjoyed nani's simple statement about it being absolutely natural for a husband and wife to spend time together, nothing wrong in it. so the only person, other than asr, who is not raising eyebrows at the romantic tryst planned by a besotted husband, is his smart sharp grandmother.

bravo.

our television could do with a few more normal, cool headed, wise grandma's and ma in law's like this. can't ever say enough about how much i enjoyed jayshree t's portrayal of devyani raizada. especially since i always knew her to be the not quite helen cabaret dancer. even with wig, make up and serial wardrobe sarees, she was outstanding... beautiful play of emotions on her face, her body language.

a pickle jar is in frame, hinting at something no doubt, but even without it, one gets the sense of something getting salted and sunned... getting ready to be spiced and left to come to a delicious delicate flavour. yes, despite all the perplexing writing, these are the episodes of the pati... who wants to be just that. these are about that besotted lover who once ripped a dori then forced her to tie it in the way he wanted and is now unable to live without that tie... all he wants is for her to accept him, make him hers.

he may say to his sister many things, but the truth is in his heart, his eyes, his tone of voice, his channe buying while jogging, his gentle hand sliding over hers, his "main bhi tumhare saath chal raha hoon..." i am also coming with you on hearing she is going to her aunt's, his following her around with his eyes, his trying to desperately understand her silence and her melancholy air.

she'd been fighting with him earlier... and he had done all he could to get her to relent. he'd even played asr like tricks and games and roared in anger.

but this sad khushi, worries him, he has to get to the bottom of it... he teases, he plays, he asks, he is heck so gentle you want to melt and stay that way... and yet no gooeyness, all asr is he still. tender yet tycoonish. he must get his wife to be in his life, be part of him, the part without which he can't live... my heart is bursting with the feeling he and your words conveyed.

and she is so confused, in such a mess... all her decisions are a bit unsound... i guess when you love so much and are torn about things, it is hard to take decisions that make sense... she is all lover, all wife... she wants him so, yet in her own specifically khushi way she has come to the conclusion that she must leave him, because even though nani ji said di always wanted her to be in chhotey's life... "sach?" she had asked... is it true? something in her knows this might have been true once but now is perhaps no longer the case. Sanaya was good in these episodes I felt. Given how little she was really allowed to voice out, Khushi found other means to emote her love for this man who brings her channa and wins bets in style.

khushi has seen the way anjali looks at her... she knows her arnav ji can't be happy if di isn't... but she still doesn't really know, nor understand and feel that arnav ji can't live if she is not with him... she knows it, he has told her as much, but she doesn't feel it it yet... not entirely internalised.

i loved the fact that khushi was human. she was not "acchi ladki", she was not miss know all, she was a human being at this moment caught in the crazy topsy turvy of life.

these episodes up to 310 are all about love to me... not in its first raw attraction state, we have seen that... nor in its time of pain and extreme suffering which too we've been through, nor of the glorious larger than life return and claim of love on the human being... this is love where you become a part of me and i a part of you and no one needs to be told who is the most important in whose life. sweeet

extraordinarily fine acting i felt i saw during this period from both barun and sanaya. they felt the feelings of a man and a woman, all of them... there was a beautiful yearning, a tension palpable all around. tacky sets, no suv, story now here now there... but direction, acting and catching of emotions by everyone, even writers... wondrous. oh I was just saying above that I liked Sanaya too.. Barun toh hai hi amazing..

this is why, ipk became classic for me despite obvious glitches and mayhem tracks. the understanding of love was flawless, har baar. felt like a real relationship... and there was a contemporary vigour, a will to live aspect to this love. khushi and asr became love somewhere along the way... pagal and laad governor pyaar.

how goofy and lovely was that scene straight after his talk with di. man lies in bed looking at wife. di sab samajhti hai. di understands everything, only men will believe such a thing, especially the straight forward sort, who don't really want to get into the complications of feelings unlike most women. and while he does need both the women he loves to feel happy, but a funny tenderness toward this girl sleeping next to him.

"khushi, ab dheere dheere sab theek ho jaayga..."
khushi, now gradually everything will work out.

"ab tumhe mujhe apna pati manna hi padega..."
now you'll have to accept me as your husband... alas he has no idea she has already decised on acourse of action.

"waise jab tum soti ho, tumse baat karan kitna aasaan hp jaata hai..."
when you sleep, gets real easy to talk to you. i wonder is it only because she doesn't answer back or because he can show all his heart and exactly how terribly totally smitten he is. putty in her hands the stubborn raizada.

he watches wife, pushes back her hair... a thing between them that says hamesha... he slips his hand over hers, that too is becoming a forever thing between them. hmm a little too lovey dovey for me this one..

later, after her puzzling behaviour with the channa, post her initial delight, he goes to leave her at buaji's. how concerned a man, why is his woman behaving so mysteriously? and his woman, tearful and sad and yet determined to leave the man who is part of her, without whom she can't live too.

"khushi, tum theek toh ho?"
khushi, you're okay aren't you?

"kuchh aur baat hai kya?"
is something else the matter?

tum raaste mein bhi chup chap baithi thi.. what's the matter with you?
you were sitting quiet on teh way here...

she didn't even sing her fiendish song... he wonders, he wants to know. she is inconsolable, he can't let her be, "khushi, kya hua tumhe..." what's happened to you?

the sweetest inquisition on earth.

"khushi, tum..." he calls out... but she just says,

"chalte hain"
, i'm off then, in a hollow voice... she is leaving him...

yet when she reaches the top of the verandah steps, where once he had told her she means nothing to him, a rich guy wasn't clutching a payal and collapsing for her, where she had sat broken and wept... she halts there. tense. still. lovely connection

as she hears him drive away, she can't stay as resolved as she wants to be, she turns... her broken heart welling over.

beauty.

even amid a collapsing story line, the story of love remained true and tight and full of light and insight. the very nature of this feeling was felt and explored with a deft, intelligent touch... the spices were fresh, the aromas heady, the sunning at the right temperature...

i happened to watch 303 and 304 together last night. i found myself not wasting too much time on the silliness of the story and my eyes ears heart seeking out the lovers and watching minutely, not being able to stop at 303, needing to see the next... and the moment he said "haq hai tumhara... mujh pe," i knew i had to express this somehow.

the vm was done in that one sentence i think.

oh the yearning of arnav singh raizada. it comes with heavy doses of his intelligence, humour, hotness, always tycoonness... has any man looked better distracted and bothered...

and has any girl looked nuttier prettier more irresistible in a chutney pink tent with gota and pompom.

be my biwi, said he. never, sighed she.

lovely vm .. already spoke at length about it ..

the episodes are collapsing in a way.. one has to bear more minutes of simply whiling away of time.. but the man and woman in love are as glorious as ever.. and one thing that never errs is your writing about them Indi di..

the last scene.. such a normal one, but the actors made it so special.. really I found myself melting and weeping and worried and going awww (a thing i rarely do) for both. And completely agree with you.. Sanaya was beautiful and caught the feelings of Khushi so sweetly.

Sohara,

You are watching the reruns with dil? For me some familiar faces move across my screen and I can not shut my tv off when they are on.. thats it.. i can not connect esp with him. that makes one especially appreciate all the efforts that went into making asr initially to leave that mark...i even give a miss some times...and this is my first watch of these epis..you are so right he doesn't sound like a tycoon..neither does he look..he is any other regular guy now..
even the marriage happened, i did expect some turbulence from him in accepting Garima post their remarriage... if not that, it would have been great to see asr and khushi even helping anjali rebuild her life in all the ways.. that would be actually a natural progression in the story.. anjali's turmoil and building up a new life...lots of logically nice/ relevant plots for the last 2 months... .where did this sheetal and aarav spring from.. btw, i don't even know who aarav is in real at the end.. i am not even keen to know...

fortunately the indelible mark the earlier episodes left is too deep .. June- Jan, 7/8 months is a very good time, some serials even wind off in that period, asr and khushi remained unswervingly adherent to their original selves during that time, that these later distortions couldn't mutilate the original beauty..

You are right. but you know I am a bit crazy for ipk. Actually for Sarun. to see them together is a treat for me. And I don't want to miss the opportunity. To see them in big screen in hd is something different I'm watching ipk three times a day as I am enjoying my holidays. Tv Asia and life ok are not showing same episode simultaneously. I really loved today's episode in life ok. Khushi told Arnav about aarav's identity. You must see sanaya's acting.she brought tear in my eyes even in this crappier track. The episode actually was very good. Got to see beautiful understanding between Arnav and khushi. I Just loved this episode. If you compare ipk with other serials you can find out the difference. Ipk was never so unbearable what some serials are.
