Episode 303
I have been ruminating on the chote di scene. Anjali was behaving like the spoilt brat who wants all the attention. She should be the center of everyone's world. Her chote has always pampered her in some sense, by listening to her, indulging her, and today he goes definitely out of his way to make her feel how important she is in his life.Even in this instant, would ASR not realize he was definitely in love with Khushi before marriage? I don't think he would intentionally lie and neither would he have been blind to his feelings for the girl. He is one of the most self realized protagonists I have ever come across, who always was given a chance to introspect and grow. It would have been seamless to have him say something along the lines of he starting to feel something tender before marriage and finally accepting that it is love in these past few months. He could have still stressed on the fact that it was all for di and her hone wala child's sake. Di would be the central figure in this story and our favourite character would be spared from saying stuff that simply isn't true.Makes me wonder, did the writers just not think enough or was it intentional? Was the viewer expected to suffer memory loss or the "baat karni hai" and bindi churi giving and waiter banoing ka bas koi matlab nahi..He reminds di of her words.. .. Saansey ruk jayengi.. The reticent man is unusually forthcoming today.. Again was it needed? I don't think so, but where di is concerned he always errs on the side of going overboard in terms of affection. Her childish demand for importance is assuaged and di smiles happily. In a parallel scene I liked nani's sensible verdict. You both are a married couple, and for you to spend time together is essential. In one scene a brother was trying to make it all about his sister, in another the wise elderly lady stressed on the fact that marriage changes status quos. The married couple are the closest bound unit. ASR wanted just that. Some quality husband and wife time. Khushi did not even get a chance to consider herself his wife. There is di now, a contract hanging over their heads and soon their will be dadi. The man is happy. Lies at a vague uncomfortable distance from his wife, the same one who had come running into his arms some time back, and gazes upon her. He is hopeful. The lips tilt upwards and his voice grows huskier as he thinks back. "Daudti hui meri baahon mein".. Sounded delicious the way he said it. Then all he is allowed is to hold her hand and drift off to sleep. What thrills me is always the possibility of more. The imagination wants a free reign, because Arnav Singh Raizada in impatience could have shaken awake his peacefully sleeping wife and reminded her again of the bet she lost. Instead of a sweet scene we might have got an ajeeb adorable hot fight instead. And we did get a playful scene. He brought her channe while he went jogging. When ASR woos his wife he uses everything in his power, from grand gestures made of pathways of red rose petals that materialize literally out of thin air to even grander peace offerings of roadside channe and of course the acidity attack giving dashing charm which is his personal best lethal weapon.Even sitting innocently their bodies seem to gravitate towards each other. What is one without the other?
They sit picking up channe from the floor. Always adept at seizing the opportunity he just has to tease her. He know what riles her. She gets adorably flustered, a word am going to use for her a lot in the coming episodes. There is an involuntary reaction in her of getting swept off her feet, only she tries to remain standing supposedly because of di.I think a part of this refusal to get wooed is also because of the lingering hurt after the fight that night. She is hopelessly muddled, but even more hopelessly in love with the rakshas she flings her arms around and gathers close to her heart in the darkness of the night when the world consists of only the two of them. There has been quite a lot of talk on collar bones.. look at them here..Put Barun Sobti in the frame and hand him a laptop and you don't need to worry about what the others are saying, because am completely distracted by him. After a lot of effort I did manage to notice di making an effort to be civil to Khushi. So ASR's revelation of everything-for-you-di-even-my -love-only-after-marriage-for-Khushi-is-because-of-you-di did work as intended. He makes me want to burst into tears because the love he has for his pagal but cute girl just fills my heart with stars, rainbows, songs and dance and basically everything nice and happy.Look around you, says he. Its your favourite place, this is where you sleep in taekwondo style and eat golgappa to your hearts content. Don't look sad and disheartened. And why aren't you singing? What the what the.. With those lips again curling magnificently. Almost an eagerness to see her back to her cheerful sprightly self. Enjoy his sense of humour. He segues into a concerned husband, a hand on her shoulders, trying to make her laugh, sensing her discomfiture. From a lighthearted banter in an effort to make her smile, he cups her chin with his hand, a voice awfully anxios, "kya hua hai tumhe?" There are many ways the dialogue could have been said. The actor chose to stress on "kya". On "what". He wants to know what's worrying her.Her tears came without warning. She has to blink them away. He knows something is amiss, and she has to turn back one last time. Now there isn't even the remotest nafrat then what stops them from coming close? Often for a beholder it looks straightforward enough, but lovers have to go through these tragic heartaches, befuddling misunderstandings, topsy turvytwists and unexpected turns to finally find a way to each other. It's always worth it. And watching Arnav and Khushi unravel the mysteries of love is definitely worth it.
Beautiful anatomy again rhea like your last one. and gorgeous edits...Yes few things didn't make sense at all.. you might have seen my tweet to GH 2 years ago about that one dialogue asr, that i couldn't digest ..its almost like one wants to shake him to realize what he was saying..you are absolutely right that he is always very liberal in pouring affection to di, but he was never really blinded as well as he had no intentions of hiding about Shyam to her at first...that line is an out and out outlier.. doesn't exist.. koi matlab nahi.. for me..
it was more than soap land's unrealism when Khushi slept peacefully with her just a few min ago hugged hot and happening pati next to her.. and he his Di sab janthi hai also didn't sit well with me.. this is YOUR place.. belongs to you and your wife..who very much love each other above / and / or inspite of every thing.. so yes a little tit tat would have been great there...
that in blue, That is "chemistry" i thought.. doing one's part fabulously well is one thing but making the presence of the other also felt in the same frame.. that they are in one zone.. that they belonged together... and this is done to unbelievably perfection/ consistency by both of them.. asr/ khushi.. barun/ sanaya..there may be few to many who are very good with facial expressions, but that moving in sync in every frame...its always a duet.. its always a ballet..that is chemistry... for me..
enjoyed the read rhea..
